Ken helped me sell my elderly mother's home in Walnut Creek. She is from the old country so she kept everything she ever owned over her adult lifetime and I was tasked to clear it all out and then prep the home for sale. This was not easy for me to do as I live 30 miles away, run a business, raise two busy teenagers and also care for my elderly mother. From the moment I met with Ken, he assessed the home and had some ideas in his mind on what could be done to improve the property and then said, "Let us know how we can help!". I was not really sure what he meant by that, but he showed me that he was willing to help with any and all of it. Along with his business partner, he methodically and carefully moved all pieces of furniture from the top floor down, cleared out items and separated them as trash, recycling, donations, and for sale. He sold what he could, donated what was still useful, gave away the remainder and then called me every so often to arrange for bulky pick up of trash and recycling. He was able to clear away the vast majority of items using this method which was very cost effective. Every step of the way, things were handled with care and the home always looked so clean and the items neatly stacked and/or organized. Once the home was cleared out, Ken quickly got to gathering estimates for repairs and updates that we agreed upon. He has ready resources that he trusts that were also willing to work as hard as Ken and offer competitive pricing. Much of the repairs and upgrades were done over the busy holiday season and Ken was on it and accessible throughout the entire period of time to ensure all things went smoothly and that everything was completed on time. In fact, his vendors were so efficient, the projects finished ahead of schedule and we were able to put the house up on the market sooner than expected. Now in the actual sale of the property, Ken was able to negotiate with/guide the buying agent in presenting us an excellent offer. Things were awkward once we were in contract in the sense that the buying agent was new to her profession and was not clear in her communication or behavior. However, Ken remained in continual communication with me and had thoughtful options should the buyer and agent back out of our deal. Luckily this did not happen and we closed on an all cash offer within 11 days! I would not hesitate to recommend Ken to family and friends. He is incredibly dedicated, works hard for his clients, is incredibly thorough, is a fantastic communicator and has a great read on people. Five star service from beginning to end.

They proved the saying: A clever person solves a problem. A wise person avoids it. Ken Broz and Ken Jacobs will definitely be my next choice when I need a realtor in the area.

David Schubb says his "goal is to make you happy" and that he's "with you every step of the way"…read more And I was thinking yeah, like every other realtor, his real goal is to make his commission and then he's gone. I was wrong. We worked with David Schubb and Allison Biner O'Brien to buy our first home in California. They worked to make us happy every step of the way to buying our home. And beyond. David has almost 50 years experience of every aspect of residential real estate. He knew every neighborhood we looked in and knew exactly what to look for in houses--including the hidden problems and benefits that are so easily overlooked. When the time came to make an offer, David's advice and support helped us get the house of our dreams--for $50k below asking price. When we ran into a problem with our mortgage broker and were about to give up, David found us another broker who solved all our problems. But David's help didn't stop there. He had got a home warranty for us when we bought the home and when the hot water heater broke the first week we moved in, he spent hours on the phone making sure they replaced quickly and without cost (that part was not as simple as it should be, but David went above and beyond to ensure we got the service we wanted). So not only did David and Allison make us happy through every step of the process of buying our home, they also kept working to make us happy after our home was bought and we had moved in. I cant recommend them highly enough.

He listened carefully to everything we wanted and built a plan to make it happen. We had some specific asks like home facing a certain direction, a bedroom downstairs, and a particular school district and Kevin patiently worked with us until we found exactly the right house. He was available to tour homes any time, helped us shortlist options, and gave us honest, clear-eyed advice on every property without ever pressuring us into an offer or pushing us to go more aggressive than we wanted. He met us exactly where we were comfortable. On top of that, he connected us with a great lender that saved us real money on closing costs, and helped us navigate the rest of the purchase process smoothly. Approaching 2026, my wife and I made the decision to move out of state to be closer to our children and grandchildren. We realized we would have to sell our home, and assessing the scope of what was going to go into this, we realized we needed to select a quality individual or team who would handle all facets of this transaction. Over the years, we had been receiving flyers from a team at Compass called Frazzano Tse. We got a good feeling from the approach of their marketing pieces which prompted us to reach out to them to see if they would be willing to speak to us. While I knew prior to the meeting that they had a superior track record in the field and were very accomplished, during the meeting itself there was not a single mention of this. The entire conversation revolved around the needs of my wife and I, what we are trying to accomplish, our time frame, and what was important to us. While our original intent was to perhaps interview a couple of different agents, at the end of that meeting we made the decision that that was not necessary. We were confident that we found people who truly had our best interests at heart. Understanding that this was not our areas of expertise, we promised ourselves that we would do exactly what Alex and Joe asked of us. During the process, there were a number of suggestions that they made where our initial reaction was to push back because of our preconceived notions. Each time they explained to us the cause and effect of what they asked of us. Ultimately, we put quite a bit of time and money into making our house more attractive and desirable with the hope that it would sell quickly and for top dollar. Finally at the end of a process that started six months earlier, the house was ready to go on the market. To our amazement, the very first individual who viewed the property made an offer that was significantly over the price we were asking for all cash and asked for a quick close. This was a quality buyer who obviously felt strongly about owning our home. The escrow process also went very smoothly, and from start to finish, from the day our home was listed to close was less than 30 days. I base the success of any business transaction on the number of times one is negatively surprised during the process. We can honestly say there was not a single point in time when there was a timeline missed, or that what they said would happen didn't actually happen, and oftentimes turned out better than what they prepared us for. In closing, I do believe one of the best decisions we ever made was going on a simple hunch from a marketing piece that these two individuals were people we wanted representing us in the single largest financial transaction of our lives. We could not have been more pleased or recommend them any more highly. Thank you once again, Alex and Joe, for exceeding our expectations. Eric & Nancy Furstner

This review is LONG overdue.... About a year and a half ago,…read morewe started our house hunt. We were living in the South Bay at the time, and we weren't familiar with the market. I had been working with another Real Estate Agent that we randomly met and at the time he/she seem really great and knowledgable about the East Bay market, but during our first weekend driving around... we were realizing that he/she was not familiar with the WC/PH/Con area that we had wanted to buy a house in, so I found David on yelp. He had a lot a great reviews, but because we were first time home buyers and already worried that our first experience had not gone as well as I had hoped, I asked my out of state RE friend to chat with him to see if he was knowledgeable and a good fit to work with me. She was really impressed of what she also read on yelp and how professional he was on the phone and proactive he described he was for his clients. So we set up a coffee meeting....he was willing to meet us in SF where we worked and he already looked into the house that we were considering putting an offer on. David was already familiar with the selling agent and the mortgage broker we were considering, which is important in this crazy bay area market.
