I went to this office for the first time today. Initially, when I called they said the doctor did not have availability for two months. But, I was told there was a nurse practitioner in the office who was very good and was available the following week. I booked the appt and when I went to her (Maryam) she was attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable. She was very warm and got to know me. She prescribed me medication and ordered an ultrasound for my thyroids even though she said it was just something she wanted to check. Many other health professionals may have just pushed it aside and hopefully it's not anything serious but her willingness to order an ultrasound and care on an issue that maybe some practitioners would just push over is very comforting. Today I went for my annual physical, and I realized I have been seeing Dr. Nili for over 10years. I don't live near Irvine anymore, but I'm willing to travel to see him. Well, my wife and I, been his patient for over a year now and highly recommend Dr. Nili. He is such a patient and caring doctor with professional manners and top of the line office staffs. I have been with Alan Nili since he first opened his office in Irvine. I was looking for a DO, since I find they have a more holistic approach to medicine, focusing on the whole body as an interconnected system, more like the traditional homeopathic system replaced in the early 1900s by the AMA. He listens to the patient. And he takes time to diagnose the concern of his patient based on their observations. He appreciates the patient who is his own doctor, working with them. The staff is like an extended family: Maryam, Ida; everyone makes you comfortable, like visiting old friends. I've been with him from the beginning and it has been a great experience. Dr Nili is an outstanding physician, always providing exceptional care with a ton of patience and plenty of time to address my questions. I began seeing him with numerous health issues and after my recent fall followed by an X-ray, I was told by urgent care doctor and radiology that my wrist was not broken. Dr. Nili is about to move from his office on Corporate Park and heading over near Sand Canyon. This is welcome news to me, as I live down south and drive about 20-30 minutes each way to see him. Having said that, I would drive to Texas to see him if I had to. His bedside manner, professionalism, intelligence, concern, staff, and ability to properly diagnose and treat symptoms make him, EASILY, the best doctor I've ever had in my 36yrs. Trying to go off of memory, I believe I've been going for approx. 6-8 years now and I expect to be a life-long patient. He is, without a doubt, what you hope and pray walks through the door with the white coat and stethoscope when you're waiting in the little room sick as a dog. An outstanding doctor and probably one of the better general medicine practitioners in OC as far as I'm concerned.....I honestly cannot say enough about the way patients are treated here.
