Wow right off the back one of the cashiers (cashier female with glasses) started yelling her greeting lol seemed like she was annoyed because we were standing a few feet away from her ( gee wonder if maybe we were standing away because my husband was getting the tickets off his phone and didn't want to block anyone from being next !!!) then my husband was going to buy me and himself a Beetlejuice bucket and himself one too but then another employee (tall lady curly hair put in a pony tail)came and said they were going to take the bucket even though that cashier had already charged us for both!!! Crazy!!!! So now the computers don't work and we got charged for one bucket because the other employee just came and took the other bucket that was already promised to us. Service was a 1 star for me. Server did come up to us 5 minutes after sitting, I said we needed a couple of minutes, he never came back even when our paper was up. I had to go find a server outside & hand it to them. They took an extra 10 minutes to come with our drinks. They brought our appetizer with my husband's entree together & forgot to input my entree. I understand servers get busy but the couple next to us was getting refills & food while we were completely ignored. Very disappointed it was our first time going to Alamo draft house. Great experience at this movie theater!!! The food and service was very good. I loved huge selection on the menu and all you can eat popcorn! They are on to something here with the service while you are watching the movie! All you have to do is write out what you want and place the paper standing up in front of you and a guy comes by and fills the order. Drinks and food! I also like that they have a bench/table right in front of you to eat while you watch the movie. The Ambiance was very mellow and easy on the eyes in the eating area. Very disappointed that they only had 2 stalls open in the bathroom. The others were supposedly "out of order" and one was just locked. This was The Batman weekend with sold out shows and only 2 stalls open. Not acceptable. And to top it off, one of the stalls was out of toilet paper. If in reality the restrooms are out of order, they need to get them working ASAP!!! read more

I came to a late showing for the Secrets Of Dumbledore and was sold a Ticket for a showing in Spanish. I only know a little Spanish and it would've been a struggle to enjoy. They didn't realize it had happed until a short while later. I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the cashier who sold me the ticket, but she informed my server, Kat, who then informed me. Between the two of them, they made an attempt to accommodate me by providing a machine that would provide me with the captioning for the movie. Kat also made sure to apologize to me multiple times. Although the apology was not needed, it was much appreciated. I just decided to pay for my food and my beer, and then exchange my ticket for another movie in English. I had a great friendly conversation with both employees and couldn't be happier with my experience. I would like to thank the management for the professionalism you've instilled in your employees. I've been coming to this theater for a couple of months now and I gotta say it's the nicest movie theater to come to in Laredo

I was excited to find out that there was an Alamo in Laredo because I never got a chance to go to the one back home in Brooklyn, NY before I moved. The staff at this location were so friendly. I really enjoyed my movie. The theater wasn't crowded and all of the other guests were courteous. I had a Moscow mule and a chicken sausage pizza with a side of ranch (my server suggested it and it actually went well together). I'll definitely return soon. read more

Ok, it's like this. My 2 fountain drinks took more then 30 minutes. Yes, fountain drinks. I also ordered 6 Food items from the menu. I told a staff member that I have been waiting 30 minutes for my drinks. I said if it takes over 30 minutes for my drinks to arrive, how long is my food going to take 2 hours. I said, should I go buy my drinks myself? What happens next, they bring me the wrong drinks. Then, what happens next, here comes a man saying im the manager. He was there talking in a very loud voice for all to hear. Saying I spoke to his staff ugly. By this time i was angry and he said he could remove me from the theater. I kepted on saying thank you, thank you over his voice. Yes, I was rude to him because his staff, which was that 1 guy, didnt tell him they brought me the wrong drinks either. But he did go crying to his manager saying what I did say. The manager said I have over 100 people in this theater. Imagine, he basically said he couldn't handle, nor his staff handle lots of people. The staff a girl also brought me cheese sticks which, I said not my order, so she took it to someone else on my row. I think the manager should tell his staff, take the drinks first its faster. But nooo, he had this big shot attitude towards me. I wanted to stand up and leave but i restrained myself because I took my grandson to go see Mario. Thats the only reason I stayed and kepted quiet towards his staff after me complaing that my drinks were taking to long. Hey, come on. Over 30 minutes for fountain drinks to arrive. That to me is unacceptable and it should be unacceptable to the manager if he thinks he is high and mighty. So here I am writing this review because it was so disappointing. So my food bill was 90 dollars. Im a good customer, a very good customer and if the manager cant see it well my tip for his staff was a big 0 Since the manager thinks its great to have his customers wait for fountain drinks over 30 minutes and I should keep my mouth close and not complain then I think the manager should Tip his staff the 30 or 40 dollars I was going to Tip. Wow, this definitely is a crappy representation of an Alamo Drafthouse. Apparently they're too cheap to get the under table lamps working so they just leave the lights on in the theatre. If that wasn't bad enough to ruin "The Force Awakens", the entire theatre was sticky. So every time the servers walked by you could hear their shoes sticking to the floor. If you like the Alamo Drafthouse chain and you're hoping this will be like the others, you're in for a lot of disappointment. read more

I love how they have themed food and drinks for certain movies that are showing. I really enjoy being able to eat dinner and watch a movie all at once and not your typical hot dogs and nachos, they have a bunch of different things to choose. read more

Went for the "soft opening" last night. Theater is beautiful. Picture on screen and sound is outstanding. We met Rick the manager, who was extremely helpful and friendly. Happy to see our favorite waitress from Carino's, Anita was working there. Food was outstanding and prices extremely reasonable, especially because regular theatre food is SO EXPENSIVE. We loved it. I went to the last show of the night and asked if the kitchen would be open during the show. The manager kindly informed us it would be until the last 20min of the show when "last call" would be given. We ordered a beer at the bar, great service and knowledge about their beer inventory (Both draft and bottle). No complaints there. Bartender was awesome, greeted us, remembered us and offered us tastes of some new beer on draft. So now onto the actual movie.. We found our seats, the server greeted us, asking if we've been there before (the whole intro speech).. Since we've been to an Alamo before we knew how it worked. We ordered the bottomless popcorn, two waters and fries with queso. We finished the first bowl of popcorn 20min into the movie, our server came by picked up the bowl and asked if we wanted another, we said yes. 15minutes later: I finished my beer and ordered another. The server came back with the beer and no popcorn. I then wrote down on the paper in case he forgot for another bowl of popcorn. He then walked by four separate times and never grabbed the order card. He walked by: 1. To pick up an empty beer glass 2. To drop off the check and 3. To take away the fries and queso that was still 1/2 full!! 4. To check to see if the check was ready. I finally put it to his attention, that we had ordered popcorn a good 45min ago and never received it, so he got us another bowl with only 10min of the movie left. What pissed me off the most was that he managed to walk by and worry more about the check than paying attention to the order card and taking food that was clearly not finished. This isn't the first time this has happened with the food being taken before I was finished. I'll definitely be back to hopefully up the stars on another review but this should definitely be brought to managements attention. read more

Alamo Draft House. June 27, 2017. The service was ok. Our servers were awesome though, very friendly and loved their smiles. Very contagious. The food was good, surprisingly ( I say surprisingly because I heard it was bad lol). The seats are a bit snug for my taste, but very clean theater. I think the only thing I can complain about is that I ordered an irish bomb for $8.00 and the cup was small lol. Very tasty though. We've been going to The Drafthouse since it was a single theatre in Austin, so our expectations were pretty high. We were also thrilled that there was a Drafthouse in Laredo, my hometown! Firstly, the good: excellent service from everyone! Servers, cashiers, were all nothing but helpful, upbeat, patient, you name it. Fantastic staff, bar none. The space is visually stunning, with high ceilings, smart red and black decor with old fashioned movie reels as accents, and a comprehensive listing of craft beers for the gourmet beer aficionados. The menu had impressive depth and the food was exemplary. Obviously no expense was spared on decor, food offerings, or sound quality, as the surround sound of the film was crisp, if not a tad overwhelmingly loud. All in all an amazing, handsome venue with top-notch staff and great food. The issue: This is he first ADH we've been too where they have designed the tables as one long piece of furniture with no divisions. This became a severe issue when we realized there was absolutely no way to get out of your seat to use the bathroom without having every single person stand up and MOVE. The space is so narrow there is just no other way and you're luck if you don't knock over someone's food in the process due to the constricted space. I'm not sure if they assumed people would just hold it the entire film? But the suggestions is to arrive at least half an hour early to find seats and order, so that is a long time. My partner ended just sitting in one of the lower seats rather than interrupt our entire row again. This was never an issue any of the other Alamo Drafthouses we've been to. Our server Jarrod was nothing but lovely and helpful and did the best she could, in the middle of the movie, to let me know where my partner had sat down, and work with us to pay for our order together even if we weren't seated together, in the end. It's a shame that such a fantastic space with great service was designed so poorly. We'll return because good service counts for a lot and we love to eat while we watch a film, but next time I think we'll choose an aisle seat on the lower half of the theatre, since you are required to pick where you will be seated at the time you purchase tickets. We'll just be better informed on following visits. read more

Worst customer service ever. I haven't ever dealt with such rude staff. We show up and buy our tickets for our movie. 10:45 showing of Spider-Man, we get there at 10:40. The lady at the counter is very rude, being very short in responses, rolling her eyes etc. Finally, we get our 4 tickets, for my husband and I, my close friend and her husband. My friend and I are very pregnant, so we need to use the restroom before the movie. We walk into the movie as it's starting (THE SECOND IT STARTED) and the staff won't let us sit down. We bought our seats in the very back row, but since the movie started we weren't allowed to sit because it's "causing a disturbance". The lady FINALLY tells us that we can sit but the manager would be over to talk to us. 5 minutes in, the manager comes and tells us we aren't allowed in the theater once the movie starts, and she watched us waste our time outside. AKA saw our husbands waiting outside the restroom for us. I don't mind following rules, but the lady at the front desk when we purchased tickets told us nothing about not being seated when the movie started. If we weren't allowed to be seated, why were we allowed to buy tickets in the first place?!! The 2 ladies who came and talked to us in the theatre were WAY more of an interruption to us and everyone else, then us just sitting down. They weren't polite in any way, using harsh and rude tones. Not even whispering, straight yelling at us. I can't believe an establishment would let their staff talk to customers this way. You can have your rules and can enforce them, but there are much MUCH better ways of doing so. read more

Before our movie, my pregnant wife and her pregnant friend needed to use the restroom. When we went back into the theatre one of workers followed us to our seats and told us we were not allowed into the movie because we were "late" and they have a "no late entrance policy". After explaining to her we were just returning from the bathroom she continued to make a scene causing far more of a disruption than our quiet return to our seats. She told us that if we ever "show up late" again we won't be allowed in. Then 5 minutes later the manager shows up, as the movie has already started and continues to make another scene saying they won't tolerate tardiness at this theatre. If you enjoy being harassed and treated like a criminal for going to the bathroom then you will love this theatre! We will NEVER be returning again. read more

Yesterday (Jan-2nd-2016), my husband and I went to Alamo Drafthouse in Laredo to see DADDY'S HOME at 3:55 pm. 1.- The person that was selling the tickets was VERY RUDE since the beginning. My husband told her that we were SENIOR CITIZENS and she said that there was not a discount, besides, the ticket prizes WERE not that expensive. 2.- We chose our seats and she said that she couldn't sell them, ONLY the first row was available!!!!!!! (there were 4 different spots with 3 seats each in the back) we told her we didn't want the first row and she said that SHE HAD ORDERS NOT TO SELL TICKETS WHERE THERE WAS GOING TO BE JUST ONE SEAT LEFT.!!!!!!!!!Although there were 2 single seats open!!!! The family that was behind us left as well! I have NEVER BEEN in a Movie Theater where they won't let you choose your own seats even being available. We went to Cinemark at Mall del Norte and enjoy the movie. read more

Outstanding service! The food is soooo darn good. I absolutely love this place! I love that there are no kids allowed after a certain time or according to movie ratings. I also think its great that Tuesday is designated baby day before 2 pm. What a great idea! I also love that there's no talking tolerated during the movie, or else... This kind of theater chain is what we needed in Laredo. Genius! I've been here a total of 5 times and I've had the carnivore pizza (topped with hot sausage and bacon), blue cheese burger, chicken sandwich with goat cheese, macaroni and cheese with bacon, loaded fries, fried pickles, veggies with hummus, boozy shakes, and of course buttery popcorn (which is made fresh because it's served warm) OMG! Everything is super yummy. I love how they sometimes have a special menu that goes with the movie. I love it so much I might just call for take out! The thing is I love watching movies but nothing tops having a glass of red wine or a cold beer to go along with it. It's so relaxing. Best experience ever at a cinema IMO. We moved from SA to Laredo 7 yrs ago and used to go to the Alamo Drafthouse cinema on 410 by Northstar mall, and now I'm just so thrilled they opened one here. read more
