So I told the sheriff over the phone that I'll call back and reconfirm if a civil standby is necessary or not.

The front desk employee--who has been there for years--was very rude and dismissive. I understand that staff deal with a lot of people who may not have the right paperwork or may not be tech-savvy, but that doesn't excuse the lack of patience or basic courtesy. My dad was told he needed to scan a QR code outside to check in. He tried to explain that he didn't know how to do that, but instead of helping, he was told to "just use your camera and scan it." He ended up taking a photo of the code and was understandably confused. Even the security guard wasn't much help. Frustrated, he left without getting anything done. Luckily, I was on spring break and able to go back with him. When we arrived, he immediately recognized the same front desk employee. We managed to check in properly and waited about an hour. While sitting there, I couldn't help but notice how she spoke to other confused customers--it was honestly hard to watch. I get that the job can be repetitive and frustrating, but many people coming in genuinely need help, especially older individuals. That said, I want to highlight someone who completely turned the experience around: Armaan. Armaan was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. He took the time to clearly explain everything my dad needed to do, made sure we had all the correct paperwork, and even double-checked with a coworker to ensure everything was done right. His professionalism and attitude made a huge difference. This was the first genuinely positive experience I've ever had at the DMV. If it weren't for Armaan, we likely would have had to come back--and I honestly don't know how that would have gone. 5 stars for Armaan--he deserves recognition for going above and beyond.

This was my first time at a Social Security office, and I drove 40 minutes to the San Leandro…read morelocation because they had the earliest available appointment. Based on my experience, it was well worth the drive. I arrived 30 minutes early. I was sent a text message with a link to check-in when I arrived, so I checked in on my phone and went to the kiosk (which is on the left side of the entrance upon entering) to print out my ticket. They have a TV screen on the wall with a queue of ticket numbers, but they will announce your number when it's your turn over the intercom. The sound quality of the intercom isn't the best, so listen closely for your number. The waiting room is small, but thankfully it wasn't full. From my appointment time, it took about 20 minutes to be seen, and I was good to go after about 15 minutes. Essentially, my visit took only 35 minutes of my time. I spoke with two employees, and both were very pleasant. The gentleman who helped me update my social security card was very helpful and kind. He made sure to answer all my questions and advised me on how to proceed with my next steps. As other reviewers have stated, you MUST have an appointment. There are signs posted all over the office stating this. I highly suggest making an appointment online as it's the fastest and easiest method. As for parking, the parking lot is tiny. In the same plaza directly across from the office is a Mountain Mike's Pizza, which also has a row of parking. A majority of the parking spots directly in front of the office are handicap parking, so if you don't have a handicap placard, I suggest parking in the spots next to Mountain Mike's Pizza. Just be sure to enter from the main road because that is the only way you can enter that side of the parking lot.

I am not sure if this is the best place, as I couldn't find the actual probation office in Yelp,…read morebut this is who this review is meant for, specifically Mrs. Martinez i have been on probation most of my life, and it has always seemed as though it's just there to get you caught up again and again, instead of trying to understand the individual and why they (in my case) keep getting into trouble . Mrs. Martinez is different; she actually cares about what is going on in your life that has led you to her and really pulls out all the stops and options to help you be successful not only in completing your probation successfully but also in your life inso making it possible to stay off of probation in the future. She has gotten me into counseling (something I never thought was even an option or that I needed or would be helpful , but it was, for understanding why I make some of these bad choices, understanding what triggers me and how to deal with those triggers ) instead of a rehab treatment I didn't need and would have gotten me let go of my current job, due to all the required check ins and meetings i would need to attend . she also helped me to get back on my feet with temoarary houseing until together we found affordable perminate houseing keeping my family the entire time. All probation officers dealing with troubled individuals should have this approach instead of setting you up to fail to keep you in the system and money flowing through the jails. If all probation iofficers handeled certin cases like this I truly belive crime would be down and we lives could be saved.

The judges allow lawyers to write the orders after hearings. The orders are not accurately done…read more One lawyer for the other party in my case was writing orders for over 75% of hearings and ignoring my writes to contribute to drafting orders. Basically I'd go to court, ask for rights or be accused of false garbage by my ex and his lawyer, the judge would barely hear me out and the other lawyer would spew lies. Even minors counsel appointed by court tells lies and is lazy and doesn't contact my kids for 5 months and claims she knows what the kids want. This court is so abusive and is a playing field for abusive men. They don't address their bias and punish me more for asking for equal treatment and to stop favoring one party and their lawyer. The system is set up to destroy women, especially women of color trying to get rights from rich men. I would be very very careful about coming to court here. The judges are cruel and cold and incompetent with no experience in family law before they're appointed to their positions. This court is a joke. The pushed me around and told me to get a lawyer and I wasted over $230,000 trying to get equal treatment for 2 years. Lawyers are leeches who love this court. They go there to fight forever to make money till one party quits because of trauma and bankruptcy. Divorce is such bullshit in court. Don't get married legally because splitting up with an abuser means court decides what happens to you and the abuser can push you around till you want to die and wish you had just stayed with the abuser than ask the damn courts for rights or protection. He was calling me a cunt and throwing things at me in front of our sons. Court didn't care. They let him keep my sons from me.
