3.75/5: Brought here by Bengali friends, so this is authentic and the real deal! This is my first time trying Bengali food, so I wasn't expecting much, but I definitely enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I really can't remember the names of the dishes we tried but there were two different types of beef and rice dishes. One seemed to be a beef biryani that I realllllly loved. The rice was sooo fluffy and good, and the beef cubes were quite tender and aromatic. Second beef dish was the curry, and while it tasted like a Malaysian rendang beef to me, the yellow rice that came with this was more starchy and reminiscent of the salted egg rice in Chinese "zongzi". Was heavier than the other rice, but also good in terms of flavor. Last rice dish came with what was described as a roast chicken leg. It was smothered with this onion garlicky sauce on top. Least favorite of the meal, as the chicken piece I received was quite dry. Favorite was the appetizer: chicken samosas! Best samosas I've had and I normally don't eat this type of stuff but I would gladly come back to get it again. Extremely thin and crispy wrapper and the meat inside was super juicy that it was oozing out onto my plate already. Finally, bengali yogurt: definitely tasted the yogurt aspect of this, but also could've easily been the custard filling of a tart. Aesthetically, I thought it was Thai ice cream at first

Food is good. I often go there for their tea and snacks! They have the best tea and chingri pakoras. Their biriyani is pretty good too.

After attending a Yelp event, I was still hungry and needed a little something to fill me up. This one was still open late night so I randomly walked inside and grabbed a chicken patty from here. The man behind the counter was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Many people were inside eating (all men lol). They have sweets on display. Overall, this looks like a good place to grab a bite at night!

    RENNOVATED!

The first Bangladeshi super restaurant in New York City. Located in Astoria, Queens- they have the best food you can imagine. Over the years they have cut portion sizes down as expenses increased but the quality has not gone down even a tad bit. Their sweet yogurt is awesome and Kachi-Biryani is off the hook. The food is very well made. I am a bit mad that they have increased prices for the lesser portion sizes. Sweets are good though so enjoy! Some food are mediocre, some are down right bad and some are the best. I have come here since I was a child. So my opinion may be biased since I am used to their cooking and long for it being so far away from it.

Best chicken samosa I ever had! The server was very quick and the samosas were fresh. The Samosa taste very fresh and was season nicely it had onions and herbs and it was just very tasty. This place is very big and clean. They have other food options such as gold chicken and vegetarian options. They also sell sweets at the shop. Even though I only had chicken samosas I look forward to coming back. Definitely go for the chicken samosas so they also give you a small thing of Tamarind sauce which is amazing!

My first meal at Aladdin, it was superb and so I returned the next day!

I went there the first time this Monday, the kabab and the chicken tikka was delicious. The Ala carte prices were very reasonable. I returned the next day and possibly will return there regularly for lunch since I do work in Astoria. However, I would like to see some half orders of Biriyani during lunch, they only server full orders and I think it is too much food for lunch!

    Roast pulao. Really tasty.

IF PEOPLE WANTED BETTER REVIEWS THEY SHOULD HAVE BEHAVED BETTER. I was what you call a regular here late nights....would make it in here b twice a week MINIMUM so they know me and even even greeted me as such I have personally witnessed the confused taller employee on the younger side speaking very nasty to homeless people just asking for a cup of water. I never really thought much of it until the lack of respect knocked on my door too. (Lack of respect for himself first and then anyone else). What an embarrassment to his poor parents. I ordered a crepe here and found what appeared to be a pubic hair inside. Instead of making a huge deal about it and embarrassing and putting the young man on the spot, I asked him to come speak to me off to the side away from others. I politely asked for a refund. Instead of addressing the concern, I was told it wasn't a hair and that it came from a banana. Bananas don't have hairs like that. The refusal to acknowledge or resolve the issue was disappointing. The refusal to make good on the mistake was fueled by the fact that I wasn't being receptive to the young man's advances and tacky attempts to flirt with me. This can be confirmed because right after being denied the confused young man followed me outside(as I'm writing this review and tried to use the incident as an icebreaker to get to speak to me on a more personal and intimate basis -- didn't work and young man was told to step away from me immediately. Mistakes can happen, but how they're handled matters. I won't be returning.

The pieces were actually pretty big which I liked. It was a hot day so it definitely hit the spot too. I would definitely come back to get the same flavor or even try some new ones. When you get inside they have a rope line set up. You can try the different flavors before committing to one. Service was great. They have some booth seats inside you can sit on that are super bouncy sink in status. You have to sit to understand it. They did have AC going and a bathroom.

My personal favorites are the banana pudding and the ooey gooey butter cake but my friends swear by the snap mallow pop the flavor is very creamy so you definitely won't be disappointed if you love ice cream! Definitely give them a visit. Theres enough seating inside and a bench outside along with great people who are usually very welcoming when you first walk in. They do play music inside so if you want a quiet vibe not the place-- but it is 100% "ice cream parlor" vibes! One highlight I noticed a little kids playing area towards the back of the store so a great place to bring the little ones too!
