It's yummy Alu dim chop is very good (fried mash potato with egg bits at the center) with this spicy sauce that has a nice kick to it (spicy); vegetable samosa was good, but I liked the alu dim chop more Chicken biriyani was my favorite! The chicken was well seasoned and there was a lot of good flavor The fish combo was yummy (comes with white rice and a lentil soup that costs the mouth) - veryyyy tender fish Mango lassi was alright The yogurt was really nice - a non tart froyo with a chocolate base note Very very affordable with big portions! The service is also so lovely!

Interesting casual Bangladeshi restaurant with a bubble tea street bar. We found the food on the heavy side but very satisfying. The exciting option of BUBBLE TEA bar was especially interesting, and we went back to try it several times over the last 7 months. We will be back.

fish combo $12, came w/ a small soup, and small cucumber salad

3.5 Stars We were in the area and decided to give this place a try. The staff was friendly and welcoming, we ordered our food at the counter and they brought it to our table. For full disclosure, we're East Asian and this was our first time trying Bangladesh cuisine. The goat biryani was delicious. The goat curry and fish were both good, but the portions were a bit small. The restaurant was clean and the table layout had a diner feel to it. The staff checked on us a few times and made sure to clear the dirty dishes. I feel it'll be more inviting if they had labels for the food since everything is new to us. We were a bit clueless about what they were, how much they cost, or what they came. Their overhead menu was only for the fried chicken and burgers. We were never given our check and ended up paying at the register. I didn't know the tip was already included in the bill, and that the gratuity screen would pop up. I ended up tipping twice, which wasn't much more, but it left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth because I felt like I was being deceived.

Saw this cute little restaurant on the way to catch the subway during a recent trip to NY. The desserts in the window looked fabulous. So one night, while picking up some food for the trip home, we decided to give them a try! We ordered the chocolate moose and Mango Lassi. Both desserts were amazing. If I could have gotten away with locking my plate, I would have. I learned they just recently started selling dessert, so stop by and give them a try! Tell them hello from me. Very nice customer service!

Amazing tasty Bangladeshi food! My friend here & I got all this stuff & we finished it like a champ! I'm & strongly recommend it! I'll be back to be a regular & bring friends! The service was top notch as well! The servers brought the food out well & brought out extras! The ambiance is nice and clean too, they have a sink to wash your hands, cushioned seating, & a whole extra downstairs seating area with catering & party hosting options!

Great addition to the neighborhood. Food and service are spot on. It's a comfortable welcoming space for a family meal here or just tea with dessert. We tried a traditional fish dish done two different ways (one with mustard seed the other fried), beef tehari and a mixed vegetable. Full kitchen isn't up and running yet (thanks to con-Ed?) they're hoping to have the kitchen and new chef on board when Ramadan ends. Check it out. Support local mom & pop.

We happened to be dining there during a World Cup game so there was a TV on in the back (not sure if that's their usual setup). I ordered the chicken tandoori (bone-in), my SO got the chicken tikka masala, and we shared a garlic naan. I got a masala chai to drink and my SO just stuck to water. We did not have to wait too long for the food. My chicken tandoori came out on a sizzling plate with a side of rice. The chicken was so tender, juicy, and flavorful. I ate the slices of onion on the sizzling plate with the chicken and rice. The garlic naan was nice and hot, crisp on the outside, studded with plenty of garlic, and soft and chewy on the inside. It was good for sopping up the chicken tikka masala sauce. My SO felt that my bone-in chicken tasted better than the chicken that came with the tikka masala, so he would consider ordering one of the other bone-in options next time (butter chicken (bone-in) or chef's special chicken (bone-in) biryani). Service was attentive. The servers refilled our water several times and checked on how we liked our dishes. We didn't have dessert this time, but we might next time we come because there will definitely be a next time.

I think the restaurant does more take out business then eat in. I see a lot of people picking up their food same as me. But maybe I am not visiting during busy hours. The food is consistent. From the first time I had Yaar - I was never disappointed. This is one of mine and my family's favorite place to get Indian food from.

The restaurant felt homey and I could tell there were many regulars and other return visitors, for good reason! Ordered: Masala Chai ($4.50)- this tasted authentic, was nicely spiced, and wasn't too sweet. I only wish the cup was bigger. Steamed momo ($12+)- I like how you have the option to mix and match. We ordered the mixed vegetable and the oyster mushroom and surprisingly I much preferred the oyster mushroom variety. The mixed vegetable momo tasted more earthy to me. Himalayan rice set ($20.5)- this was a very nice assortment- there was rice, lentil dal, your protein of choice- (I chose beef brisket), stir fried cabbage, broccoli rabe, pickled vegetables and crisp flatbread. The only downside in my opinion was that the brisket wasn't too tender and I didn't love the beef flavoring or preparation. The rest of the items were so delicious! I've been thinking about this meal ever since I left the restaurant. You don't want to skip this place.

I barely had time to enjoy my dinner before feeling pressured to finish. To make matters worse, as we were preparing to leave, I went to use the restroom and was told by the manager that it was closed. Considering that I had just spent over $100 on dinner, I found that response both surprising and unacceptable. I work in the food and beverage industry, so I understand the challenges of restaurant operations and always try to be respectful and understanding. I was polite throughout the evening, yet I felt like I was treated as an inconvenience rather than a paying guest. To be fair, the food itself was excellent. However, great food cannot make up for poor hospitality. Based on my experience, I would not recommend dining at this location. The behavior of the staff was unacceptable and fell far below the standard of service I would expect from a professional restaurant.

I got the lamb samosa (which is not very gamey if you don't like lamb), along with the chicken korma (breast meat is on the dry side, and the korma is more savory than nutty), along with the kheer (rice pudding) which I liked a lot due to having texture from the nuts and not being too sweet. I tried my friend's malai kofta (the croquettes are a bit sweet, and I liked the sauce more than my korma) and rasmalai (which is sweeter than the kheer, but not so sweet).
