This weekend I took my mom for a mother daughter date and she's been wanting to come here. Since it was Easter weekend, the festivities were on and poppin! The kids were going down the huge slide with the potato sacks to several food trucks. We came for U-Pick sunflowers and strawberries. The strawberries this time around were wayyyyyy more ripe and vibrant than a month ago. Boy, was I so happy that we came when we did. My mom went crazy picking so many berries. Then we walked out into the field which the sunflowers were located. The sunflowers were so beautiful and had these large stems. They do give you scissors to cut them. The food trucks had a great variety from American to Jamaican. The food stand was even open and we tried their hand pressed lemonades and macaroons. I love this place and highly recommend making the trip out here when they are open!

The farm is huge with plenty of space to pick berries, and the berries are so fresh and delicious! They also have a cute little farm store that was so fun to look around in, and plenty of snacks, meals, and drinks to try! I got a strawberry milkshake, and it was genuinely the best milkshake I've ever had. I definitely recommend this place for a date, a hangout with friends, or even a little solo trip. It's a very relaxing activity and is a great way to get some sunlight.

I took my 2 year old son on Halloween. It was surprisingly not very busy that day but, apparently, that was not the norm. My son was too tired to explore much and just wanted to be held. So I decided to take him on the hayride. It was a nice ride out to a pasture where a herd of cows were grazing. The driver took us right into the middle of the herd and they swarmed us, knowing it meant food. Alex was scared by the cows, but I was impressed and enjoyed feeding the cows the feed they provided. I would say we were out there for at least 10 min before they took us back. Again I tried to get Alex to play, unsuccessfully. But we did take a short walk through the corn maze which he seemed to like because it was an easy path to follow. After that, he explored some tractors they had set up in the play area. I tried to get him interested in romping around in the hay play fort, but he wasn't very interested. The farm offered another little ride which we got on and I think he liked it. I know I did. I'm such a kid at heart. We didn't hang out long after that because Alex was just exhausted and so was I. I feel like it was a nice time shared with my son. It had potential to be much better if he had taken a nap that day and was well rested. I thought the pumpkin patch was small. The play area was really nice. They did offer a concession stand. One of my coworkers said the burgers were great and a good price. Sadly, I didn't get a chance to taste them myself. Since this was their first year, I definitely see room for improvement. It definitely has potential to become something really great. It was definitely worth the $8 spent.

We've made several trips here, and we were finally able to stay in one of the bungalows in the newly opened area called The Hammock. The tiny houses are quaint and comfy, but have everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. We had breakfast both mornings in our bungalow with the farm fresh eggs they left in our kitchen's mini fridge, along with fresh sourdough and muffins from the kitchens pastry chef. We had lunch and dinner at the restaurant, as well as a less formal fish fry on Friday night at The Roost. Everything was incredible--I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. Menu Seasonal-varies, we had the corn bread with pesto and broccoli and fresh butter. The shrimp and grits was yummy-a bit smoky spicy-great. The grilled trout was juicy and cooked perfectly-atop a bed of buttery rice and the best cooked asparagus ever! Tender all the way to the end. The kale salad was huge, fresh, loaded with toasted almonds, shredded cabbage, and quartered beets. Enough for 3-4. Okay, yes do get dessert. We saw someone else get the strawberry n had to have it-a white chocolate strawberry filled with strawberry mousse and an apricot jam middle. It came with a side of brownie covered with a chocolate creme and cookie sprinkle. Wow!! Well worth it!! The death by chocolate was served with pistachio crumbles. Strawberry was better. Summary A rural special occasion special place farm to table food venue. Love it-outstanding service, the best fresh food menu, beautiful setting.

They refuse to open a new bundle of wood in order for me to obtain nice, straight wood. I had a 16' deck I wanted to build, and I could not get enough 2x6's that were straight and defect free for the visible areas. For the price I would have paid, I expected good lumber for the visible areas. I could deal with the defects for the parts that wouldn't be seen. So I left the wood there and went elsewhere where I knew I could get enough staight wood for the visible areas. The second time I went the for another project, I wanted to purchase 300' of 3/4" PVC. This was during COVID. The sales associate wanted to mock me for "hoarding" pipe. I said something to one of the managers and he didn't care. Again, I just left the pipe there and went elsewhere. At a company I used to work for, we had three pallets of solar salt delivered. There were a few ripped bags. Lowe's policy is to write on the back what was wrong, the company I worked for, there policy was to write it on the front of the bill. The driver cussed me out for not following Lowe's policy. I do not work for Lowe's, but at the time UF Facilities Services. Whose policy do you think I will follow? My manager called the manager at Lowe's who just didn't care. I wanted to purchase a DeWalt grinder, found a better price on Amazon. Went to Lowe's to try to get a price match on the same exact item. They refused, saying they don't compete with Amazon. Avoid the Lowe's at all costs. Customer service is lacking, and the prices they want for less than desirable wood is ridiculous.

The other bush from a different nursery found on amazon gave me a great reference point, the branches were mostly flat cut one looked like it was partly chewed off. 5 stems 2 with some green at the base but mostly woody and dead for several inches from the cut. The bush is alive but has no growth yet and it was received several days prior it will live but it was a sad sight Compared to the obvious expertise and loving care the other Mister Lincon had received from Pamala at Angel Gardens.
