Brad gave me an informal quote during the consultation and said a formal contract would be sent by his office manager. I was shocked that the quote was about sixty percent lower than another quote from our plumber. I would say I had to do every couple of months now after years of Lifesource once a year and it's not nearly as bad as it ever was before. While, you do have to plan for those expenses, they are long lasting. over time it was less that our collective monthly expenses, especially if the maintenance by hand that was required was considered. When we were evaluating the system. It sounded expensive until I did the math on what we were paying for soft water which my husband dislikes the feel of. The difference is immediately recognizable in showers for hair and skin is something far better than I was .expecting. The water coming out of the tap is great! We do have a reverse osmosis for ice. During our conversation, I was told that the LifeSource system does not remove minerals such as magnesium and that I would need a reverse osmosis system with a carbon filter to address the issue. He also mentioned that my refrigerator filter might possibly help. I was also told that the LifeSource system primarily removes chemicals. This information was never clearly explained to me before I made such a significant investment. I was not given a water test before purchasing the system, and I now feel that I did not have all the information I needed to make an informed decision. As a result, I'm back to purchasing bottled water from the store. I recognize that I share some responsibility for not researching the purchase more thoroughly. However, I believe customers should be given a clear explanation of exactly what a water filtration system does and does not remove, especially before making such a large investment.
