Really great experience from start to finish. Scheduling an appointment for an estimate was quick, pricing was beyond fair so we scheduled with them to complete the job. We had flat, but very uneven ceilings with unfinished patch work everywhere in the living room, dining room and kitchen. The 2 bedrooms had popcorn ceiling that needed to be removed. We went with a knockdown texture option for the whole house and the ceilings are absolutely perfect. 1st day was spent removing popcorn ceiling from the bedrooms, and applying the knockdown texture. 2nd day was a partial day spent painting and caulking. It looks perfect and the best part is there was NO MESS! They knew we were planning on painting the walls and even gave us a pint of touchup paint that matched the color and sheen of the ceiling if we accidentally got a spot on the ceiling. I had quite a few major cracks in my popcorn ceiling. I was referred to this company and reached out to them. Someone came out and gave me a very fair cost estimate for the repair. I approved the estimate and we set a date. I'm not sure of how the repair process works, but it took a great deal of time. A lot of effort went into their prep work such as taping and hanging plastic sheets everywhere. Their cleanup afterwards was just as meticulous. The repair is flawless. Now that they finished removing all popcorn and placing a lite knockdown in my new home, I can contribute 5 stars to their record! Joe was very helpful setting up the meetings, and Mike and his crew did an excellent job preparing my entire home with plastic lining and even a better job cleaning up. As expected, when removing the plastic held by tape staples on the wall, paint is sometimes peeled off. Well, they patch all that up as well and I'm now ready to paint the rest of my interiors. Have used this company twice in my home. Once to repair a ceiling and once to replace wet drywall. They have consistently been reliable, prompt, courteous, clean and have done great work. I appreciate that I can rely on a long-standing, family-owned local business. I would highly recommend this company to anyone! BTW, I saw the same negative review from Camie J. on Google. The owner of Al-Pro gave a well spoken response to her complaint and mentioned that he had no record of a job that large done at that time. I have used them three times now. The first to remove all popcorn in master bedroom and make the ceiling smooth no texture nothing just smooth and it came out smooth like glass (2012)! Second time I had them repair my kitchen ceiling. I had them patch a hole and match the popcorn in the kitchen to the old popcorn they did so perfectly (2013). This last time my spare bedroom popcorn ceiling needed to be repaired and as much as he told me a patch might not match his guys excelled as I expected a perfect patch and a perfect match! Not very pleased with the work done. We had our popcorn removed from the entire house, and it was just sloppy work overall. We have had a least half a dozen people independently (unprovoked by us asking their opinion!) tell us that our ceiling looks messy. And for the price we paid ($4500) I would expect a high quality finished product. In my living room I have a wave - not a straight line - between my ceiling and my wall. Sucks for us. read more

This is the third time we have used Al-Pro for ceiling work in 2 different houses. Twice to have popcorn installed, this time for repairs to popcorn and a plaster ceiling. Mike finished up a while ago and we couldn't be happier with the job he did. You can't tell where the repairs were made in the ceilings, in the plaster or the popcorn.
