Walked in and found the staff all sitting around at the front table, which should have been a signal to leave. But it is holiday time in downtown, so we figured they were just lacking customers. And it is near the university, normally a good sign for a place like this to have good quality and turnover.
Found a couple smoking a hukkah in the bar area, and one other table with customers in the restaurant. And every table had an ashtray -- just be warned in case you have an aversion to smoke (in our case it was empty, so we took the risk and no one lit up).
We were cold and hungry, so figured, how bad could it be -- just looking for falafel and grilled chicken kebab.
Falafel was greasy, hummus was watery, chicken was tough, some vegetables were just plain too old for restaurant use. A lot of salt helped. Tabbouleh was flavorful and pita was decent.
Waiter disappeared and had to be hunted down twice. And the bill was exceedingly high. MUCH better food available in Vienna.
