REALLY wanted to like this place Unfortunately it reminded me of the resort restaurant when we visited Mazatlan that caters to white folk. Not a whole lot of flavor but kids and old people love it. The dining room was absolutely empty at 5pm on a Sunday, holiday weekend so I'm guessing maybe this isn't a favorite of the locals either. The Good: Hubby enjoyed the enchiladas & crispy tacos Fresh produce The Bad: Didn't care for the shredded beef or the crispy shell it came in. The So-so: Chips & Salsa Rice & beans

Ok Brand New Mexican Restaurant in McCleary. It was 4th Day after opening and the place is Packed! Awesome Food we all ordered different diners and we all Loved our Meals. Posted 3 photos of huge diner plates. They will have live music playing later. We will be coming back! Second trip to the restaurant same great food service was great too. Brought a friend and he lived it as well I think prices slightly higher than Elma's El Ranchon but the meals are exceptionally good here worth trying

Tamale with green sauce (optional) chili relleno with rice and beans.

Most flavorful Mexican Rice I have ever tasted! Entire meal was exceptional. Perfect stop for a meal on the way, or return from the coast!

The food is fresh, the portions generous, the staff friendly and with a vibe that often has us talking to our neighbors. We prefer the simple dishes that highlight the seafood. Prawns, crab, muscles, class steamed or as a cocktail. The dungeness crab bisque is great with lots of fresh dungeness. Thier seafood Louis trio is simple too much food for me. The prices are not cheep but reasonable for the quality and quantity. My only criticisms are meant to be constructive. The fact that they only open before 4 on the weekends is a bummer. Likewise, I do not understand why they do not have halibut and razor clams. Perhaps it is political, but I find it sad I have to go to Taylor Junction to get razor class. Halibut would be well suited for thier simple steaming techniques, and razor slams for the fried foods like prawns and cod. Looks like they have an outdoor patio as well, it was under construction today. Bet it's amazing when it's up and running. Our waitress was patient and so nice. Man oh man was our food fantastic! We started with the bacon wrapped scallops and the crab and artichoke dip. 10/10 artichoke dip large Elvis's of crabs fb great flavor! I'm not a fan of scallops but my husband and one of our friends said 8/10 maybe a little springy texture wise but still very very good. I, along with one of our friends ordered the halibut and French fries basket. Omg! It was so good! Love we had the option of beer battered or panko crumbs. We went with beer battered. The French fries are double fried I think and holy lord so freaken good! Cole slaw was also tasty. Husband ordered the Drunken Chef, which was a mix of rice, mushrooms, shrimp, scallops and salmon and super saucy! He loved it! Everyone tried it. Our other friend got the wedge salad and a bowl of clam chowder which was very very good! This will be a regular hang out for sure. They have a little area to buy charms and oyster ornaments! Very cute! We might return tomorrow that's how much we liked it! 10/10 go give them a try!

Downstairs is an open kitchen with a few tables in the front room. I do think that if they didnt have a big communal table, they could rearrange the tables to get a few more for extra service. I ordered the Salad with Dungeness Crab. I loved the freshness and all the combined flavors. My husband had the fresh fish tacos and they were very fresh and full of fresh cooked fish. The clam chowder was a little weak in flavor and lacking clams so I would probably skip it next time. The fish and chips is their signature dish and everyone was ordering it. This place is definitely a dining gem!

She did not return to check if we needed anything after the food was served.
