The lady working, I felt was bothered by my request but the Gentleman took over. He even brought me to the back to ensure I received cuts that I could appreciate. Al Barakah is opened as an halal meat and deli place 6 months back and now since 3 months they have started serving full-fledged restaurant style food from biryanis to curries and wings to kababs. They are located next to Cherians, the Indian grocery mart. They have a common parking space shared with other business around the area. They sell specially goat, lamb, beef and chicken as meat products. They are fresh and very reasonably priced. The place is small with three tables, each having four chairs around it. It's more like a to-go or a pick-up order place but still can comfortably sit and have your lunch or dinner with friends or family. While I was here for lunch, I have ordered the chicken handi boneless, and goat kadai curries with butter naan and also goat biryani with bone marinated for overnight in yogurt, traditional spices, layered with basmati rice in pot & baked. Everything tasted great and yummy. The spice levels were perfect to my taste. The place is very casual and clean atmosphere. The service was quick and fast. The staff here are very nice and friendly. They are open Tuesday to Sunday 11 AM to 9:30 PM and Monday 12 PM to 8 PM. I would recommend this place to give at least a try, you will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back. read more

READ THIS BEFORE YOU WASTE $$ HERE.....Not sure if this is shady or just negligence, maybe their scales are not calibrated properly? I ordered 2 lbs each of chicken thighs and lamb chops and received just over 1 lb of each...but I was charged for 2.3 lbs each. So now I'm out $16 and have less food to prepare. Great place to pick up halal meats and chicken. I stop by once a week. Everything is fresh out and packed the same day. It's weighed and labeled and pre-packaged so you can just pick it up and check out. It also carries some other grocery items like onions, potatoes and som spice mixes. They do sell ready to eat food (chicken wrap, chicken wings, mango lassi (!!) which I've never tried but will in the future! I went with 10+ family members yesterday for lunch. We ordered a lot of food; Goat Handi, Goat Karahi, naan, Chicken 65 wrap and roll, Chicken Seekh wrap and roll and chicken wings. EVERYTHING was delicious. Not one person had a bad thing to say. The wings were sweet and spicy. They need more seating room which they said they are working on. Overall, the food was amazing!
