Cute restaurant/bar tucked away in Stockholm. There was a ton of beer and drink options to satisfy your drink needs. Food (deer) was excellent, I could probably eat this dish every day for the rest of my life. If you are in Stockholm, this is an excellent place to stop by and grab a drink and some food. I would recommend it.

I have visited Akkurat on three separate occasions. Each visit was very special in their own way. My first time here, I enjoyed Mussels and spent the entire time scrolling thru their Beer and Whisky Cellar list. If you don't know, they have one of the largest cellars in all of Scandinavia! Impressive. My second time I came here was after visiting Omnipollo Hatt. I enjoyed as many Cantillon, Drie Fonteinen, and de Troch Belgian sour ales until there was no more enamel on my teeth! The third occasion, I was interested in enjoying Whisky and one of the barmaids invited me to a tasting in their cellar. We went thru 6 varieties of Scottish and Irish whisky, trying each at Room Temperature, with an Ice Cube added, and then Warming up with our hands. This was a very extensive tasting and learned heaps about this process of changing a Whisky's temperature to bring out different flavors. After the tasting, they let me take a gander at all of the 1980-1994 aged Cantillon's! One of my favorite nights in a Stockholm bar. If you are looking to get a deal or walk away with a cheap bar tab, you should have stayed home, as this place will rock your wallet! The experience with both food and drink at this establishment is priceless though. Highly recommend if you have a free night in Stockholm and ask if they have a spot available for their Whisky / Beer Tasting in their cellar!

Ambience is cozy pub style with many different beers and bourbons available. We had the roe topped crisps (pictured) and moules frites. Everything was hot and delicious and our waiter was friendly. Great meal.

I was so happy to find so many sours on the beer menu! A great selection of beer (seven pages). We sat on the (enclosed) patio. The heat lamps made it the perfect temp. Pretty good service and beer recommendations. We didn't eat but the garlic bread that went by the table smelled amazing. I wish I liked mussels because the multiple options all sounded creative and delicious. Great place for a beer or two or three.

After a long day traveling I found this place close (walking distance) to the hotel. Seating wasn't a problem on a Monday night although not used to a seat yourself place unless it is a bar or a sign that says seat yourself. Staff was friendly enough although appears to be in between the service I have received in Cardiff and what I'm used to in the U.S. Found tipping is optional and great service is about 10% of the bill of you chose to tip. Lots and lots of beer choices at this place, I had a blonde wheat which was decent enough. Dinner consisted of swedish meatballs with mashed potatoes. Was pretty good, better then what I get from IKEA. Nothing bad about this place but nothing outstanding thus the 3.

Came here this afternoon around 4 p.m. due to impressive Yelp reviews and highly reviewed in our travel book. SO glad that we did! We were warmly greeted by our waiter as soon as we walked in. He was incredibly nice and professional and told us to sit wherever we wanted. He gave us enough time, without rushing us, to look through the extensive drink menu. After a few moments we placed our order. We got the larger portion of Moules Chèvre accompanied by an order of fries. As well as a whiskey for my husband and a glass of wine. Immediately thereafter a basket of assorted bread and butter arrived. 10-15 minutes later our mussels and fries arrived at our table, piping hot! The quality of the mussels were top notch, and the broth was INCREDIBLE! Perhaps the best part of the dish was how hot the broth stayed even with the pot open. It allowed us to slowly enjoy the meal over 20-25 min. The fries were perfect, and I'm pretty sure the mayo served with them was homemade. The service continued to be top notch the entire time. He even offered to refill the bread basket, which we declined. (One larger order of the mussels and fries is enough for two hungry people to share.) Btw, noticed that patrons at the bar had a little set up of free hotdogs with mustard--- nice touch! (Who hates a free snack when drinking?!) Be sure to eat here when in Stockholm!

One of my favorite restaurants/meals when I visited Stockholm was at Akkurat. The restaurant is conveniently located near a metro station (Slussen), has a huge selection of mussels and a solid beer list (or so I was informed), and it's got a fun atmosphere. Amongst 5, we ordered one 1/2kg Moules Asia, one 1/2kg Moules Islay, one 1/1kg Moules Marinière, one Biff Rydberg, one Husets Råbiff, two sides of fries, and a few beers and ciders. The service was really friendly and the food came out relatively quick. Of all the Moules we had ordered, the Moules Asia was my favorite--it's mussels cooked in red curry with coconut milk, garlic, onion, lime leaves, lemongrass, and coriander; it was just the right amount of spicy and packed with flavors. The Moules Islay (peaty malt whisky, bacon, onion, mussels) was interesting; the whisky was a little too overpowering for me. The Moules Marinière (white wine, garlic, onion, parsley, thyme, cream, mussels), a traditional recipe in prepping mussels, was delicious, but I would only order it if I had other people who wanted to split/try the dish together. The Biff Rydberg was delectable--I haven't gone to any restaurant in Stockholm that didn't make this dish well. The Husets Råbiff (steak tartar), and the fries were delightful but definitely pale in comparison to everything else we had ordered. I can't say much about the beer because I'm not a huge fan, but my friends were floored by the selection and loved all of their drinks. If I'm ever back in Stockholm, I'd make sure I made time on my trip to stop by here!

Beer me please. The selection is quite broad here and nicely presented. Went on a weekend day before the dinner rush. By the time we left (dinner) it was getting packed and service was quite slower. Although the staff was nice and helpful. Had the chicken strip appetizer and plenty of beer, wild child, charismatico and hop start. Recommend it as an all around establishment

A bar and restaurant that have one of the biggest selections of beer and whisky in Stockholm. It is a very popular place with live music and a great place to meet new people or just have a nice night out with your friends. They offer a wide selection of mussels that all are super-delicious and that are a must if you're a mussels fan. You're not? Fear not, they have a menu that caters to all tastes and if you need GF you're in luck - most of the dishes are possible to get in a GF version. This has been one of my favorite places for years and it never disappoints!

Best craft beer selection. Amazing beer cellar, with plenty of beer from the 90's! Good food properly presented. When purchasing their cellared beer, the bartender goes into detail about the history and the quality of the beer. Had a 1996 Cantillon Cuvée de Florian, one of the rarest. What more can I say!

The live music stage at Akkurat
    John L.

It was my first night in Stockholm, so I followed the advice of the Lonely Planet Guide and one or two other tips to Akkurat, a sizable bar found very easily on Hornsgatan, a few minutes walk from the Slussen hub. Even better, there was some live music scheduled for this Sunday visit, so that was another reason to visit. As I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the huge bouncer, who told me when to expect the band on stage - an unexpected extra bit of information. The bar was already quite busy, so I wandered around to the "outside" bar which runs the length of the street frontage, in a patio/conservatory style. Here I was served my first drink by a very friendly bargirl, who offered to bring the ale over once it had been fully poured. I found a very comfortable chair to relax and read more of the guide book, before the band was due on. Soon, having finished off an excellent pint, it was time to see what the band was like - this was The Black Sorrows, a fine Australian RnB band, who looked like they had been playing together for decades. The bar was now very full and after a long day's travelling, I decided to call it a night after the third pint, with the band still in full swing. On another occasion, I can see how a person would stay in Akkurat all night - great beers, friendly staff, easy to find, top live music and a great ambience. A pint in here is 82 krona, so about £6.25

We enjoyed drinks- sadly I have a gluten allergy as there were so many beers to try but the cab was great. The atmosphere was fun!

This was our second traditional Swedish meatball experience and I found the meatballs here quite…read moredifferent from those at Blå Dörren (see separate review). These tasted like they were made with beef and pork, which is a more popular recipe than 100% beef. They were very soft, moist, and flavorful. But they didn't have the distinctly rich peppery taste and aroma like those from Blå Dörren. The brown gravy was creamy, rich, yummy but a bit sweet. As with every meatball dish that we saw in Sweden, they came with a side of lingonberries and mashed potato. We also ordered a pan-fried sea bass which was delicious - didn't I tell you that besides meatballs, Sweden (and Stockholm in particular) is well-known for their seafood? First off, the fish tasted very fresh. The skin was rubbed with rosé peppers and pan-fried to golden crispiness. The meat was soft and flavorful but without a hint of fishiness (good!). The yummy white wine sauce complemented the fish perfectly well. The entrée also came with sautéed baby white rose potatoes, sautéed baby vegetables, and a small tomato salad. They were served separately on the side (see picture).

Eken was a great find at the Hilton in Stockholm. I usually don't have much faith in hotel…read morerestaurants but this was an exception. First and foremost the service was great from the moment I entered the restaurant through my end of meal coffee. The waitress was attentive and knew exactly when to stop by my table. I had an appetizer in the Executive Lounge so I started with my main...the specialty of the house...a wonderful cod which was perfectly prepared. Not a thing wrong with the dish. Each dish on the menu came with a recommendation for a wine pairing, which I went with and was not disappointed. For those carb lovers out there, the bread basket was well appointed and came with whipped butter. Overall, a great meal and I would definitely come back for the cod, wine and service.
