Really good at what it does. My version of a diner in Stockholm. Quick, cheap and classic comfort-food dishes. Good for take out.

Louis R loves local Swedish pubs close to his 5-star hotel…read more This spot is located on the corner of the main street and the tables outside, filled with local Swedes chatting and drinking, make it easy to find. Don't get intimidated if everyone is speaking Swedish, within, as this is a true local joint. And yes, the menu ain't in 'Murrican. Sorry bruh. The salmon with potatoes was clutch, actually, all the fish dishes here will be on-point. The barkeep was affable and can help you select legit choices in fare as well as drinks. Go with the local beers. Do it. Since this spot is not in Old Town, there won't be many tourists, which suits Louis R. It is very easy to chat with the locals, as they aren't the typical pretentious American D-bags. Be like Louis R, be the only pretentious D-bag in Sweden.

The place has 3 rooms, first the bar with some tables but most people standing up, crowded and…read morenoisy, then another room with only sitted tables, quiet and very nice music in the background, and finally a much smaller room with armchairs and books, super cozy. I had dinner in the second room. I would advise you to book a table (I got lucky, someone had booked but cancelled last minute so my friends and I could sit). I had a burger, the meet was very tender and juicy. The fries look like crazy Macdonalds fries but they were actually much better than that, and came with a homemade aioli sauce. I was also super tempted to take tartare steak, the table next to us had some and it looked really good. As it was my first time I wasn't sure of the quality of the meet, but now I know it's good, so next time I'll definitely have that!

One of my favorite Stockholm pubs because it feels genuine. Regular pub style comfy food as…read moreexpected, and the burger pretty much always delivers. Pretty good beer selection, but for this kind of place, it could be better. Super friendly staff and if you have a specific request to watch a sports event they are always willing to do their best and show it on one of the screens. I'd give it 7/10 but it's worth 4/5 rather than 3. A not-so-strong 4.

I gave this a try because I do like me a good Irish style pub! I think this is a nice homey and…read moreroomy pub with large booths and a very down-to-earth feel. I really liked the unpretentiousness of the place. It seems like a lot of families and people of mixed ages were in attendance the night I went here. Next time my pops comes into town I know just where to take him! =) The decor is kinda funny with all the plaid covered booths. Somehow it made me feel like there were a lot of 1980's couches sitting around and the place was the largest living room i've ever been in. I know they were trying to go for a more Irish look, but the type of plaid they used was unfortunately very popular for old ladies homes when I was a kid. Weirdly enough, all that just made me like this place more! The burgers were good! I inhaled the french fries like there was no tomorrow. I think that means they were good, or I was just that hungry! My friend got the chicken club. Which, I thought had all the base qualities for a good sandwich. Decent bread, moist chicken and large in size! However, when I tried a bite I was surprised that it had a very bland curry flavor. I wish it was more like a California club (avocado and bacon) instead of curry! It was edible, but pretty boring. =( other items of importance to me: #1) A good Belgian white? Check. #2) Clean bathrooms? Check. #3) Good service? Check. I recommend going on a slow night with a bunch of close friends that want to chill out, have a good beer and some informal chitchat.
