Our meals came out fast, our waitress Angie was a power house and chatter quieted down offering a sign that everyone's food was hitting the spot. I personally loved my well done flatbread pizza as i am a crunch -a-holic and they honored my request. I started off with a drink and asked for a menu. The bartender was very nice. All of them are. Every time someone new walked by me they asked if I needed anything. I ordered the same meal as before, smash burger with fries and onion rings. The burger is so good and so well constructed. You taste every layer burger, bacon, pickles , cheese, special sauce. I added a little ketchup, first time I had it I didn't add the ketchup. This place is great. Stop by if you want good food and an even better atmosphere.

If your looking for great food, don't miss AJ's Kitchen. I saw it on the phantom Gourmet, and my son actually worked there for a while. I knew the food was great as I'd started getting all my pizza"s there, but there is so much more. Outstanding calzones (the veggie is my favorite, but they are all good), excellent meals and sandwiches, and they will even cater your next event. I LOVE AJ's!! probably one of the best sub shops I've ever been too. The people there are great. I started working across the street about 6 months ago, and have gone there probably a total of 7 times. They know my name and greet me the second I walk in the door. They are SO nice and inviting. We used AJ's to cater our wedding on August 18th. We had 180 guests and everyone was well fed. Everyone especially loved the meatballs. There were 2 girls who worked our wedding and they were outstanding! They went above and beyond for us, they even cut our wedding cake for us. Thank you AJ's. read more

I found Giovannis on Yelp and it was near where I was working and had over three stars. Although the reviews appeared mixed, I decided I would check it out. Located in a small strip mall in South Tewksbury, I arrived a little after noon on a Monday. There was an inflatable character waving people in the front door. Once inside, I could tell Giovanni's is primarily designed for either take-out or delivery. With only two tables inside, someone was already seated at one and I saw a few people waiting in their cars. I went to the counter and let them know I am not from the area and I continued seeing roast beef places, especially offered with pizza and I wanted to see what it was all about. I asked what the most popular roast beef sandwich was. I was quickly told the Super Beef comes on an onion roll and is their most popular roast beef option. I decided to try it and was asked if I wanted BBQ sauce and cheese on it, which were easy yes's! I had a seat and waited for my order. The rest of the menu is much more extensive than I expected. In addition to roast beef and pizza, they also have calzone, salads, wraps, cold sandwiches, cold subs, pasta, chicken, burgers, some seafood, rice bowls and quesadillas. When my order was called, I went to the counter to pick it up and had a seat. The sandwich was wrapped up and looked huge. I unwrapped it and it looked amazing, a bit on the rarer side than I prefer but the temperature of the sandwich was hot and it did look yummy. I proceeded to eat it and the BBQ sauce was dripping everywhere. This is a really sloppy sandwich and the BBQ sauce is definitely on the thinner side. Overall, the sandwich was tasty and I ate it all, but it did not overwhelm me. I still do not understand the significance of roast beef in the area but will Google it to see if I can find an answer. I would consider this a good experience.
