This was a fun surprise while out driving home and a good spot to stretch our legs. The ice cream had some crazy flavors inside and we opted for the small cup as it's pretty heavy in flavor and mix ins. I got the caramel ribbon crunch if I remember the flavor name correctly. And the other was butter pecan. Both flavors were made with good quality ingredients and pricing was very reasonable as well. The girl working behind the counter was patient with me asking so many questions. read more

We've been going to AJ's for years. The ice cream is absolutely delicious and they always have clever themed sundaes. It's also our tradition to get all our ice cream cakes here for our birthdays. This past weekend we celebrated our niece's first birthday with an AJ's cake, and I have to say that they absolutely outdid themselves! Not only was the cake delicious as always, they made a perfect cake for our unicorn themed party! It was an absolute hit! I highly recommend going here, not only is the ice cream great but the customer service is also phenomenal! read more

This was my first visit to AJ's Country Cone. It was a Saturday at 4:00pm after a group hike and dinner. I ordered the pumpkin flavored ice cream in a cup from the fairly young crew. I received a good amount of product without feeling that I'm overstuffed. I had to be careful using the flimsy spoon against the hard ice cream. If you have kids then I suggest asking for extra spoons in case they should break. I love the pumpkin taste. I got the pumpkin flavor so I'm satisfied. read more

Yooo the flavors here tho. So versatile. I couldn't pick just one. I ended up getting their toasted coconut ice cream with, yes, more toasted coconut as a topping, along with a drizzle of chocolate syrup. SO good and perfectly crunchy. Coconut heaven, if you're into that. Didn't taste like suntan lotion, which is always a fear of mine with coconut-based/flavored foods. They've got a wonderful selection of hand-dipped cones, soft serve, hard ice cream, sundaes, ice cream sandwiches, and much more, which is really nice. The staff is super friendly, as well. Just overall a really good classic roadside ice cream spot for a summer night. Will definitely visit back! read more

I can picture Richie Cunningham, the Fonz and the gang roll up in a Chevy Bel Air after class, their friends working the counter. The ice cream is homemade, and in addition to the classic flavors, there are more interesting creations such as Aztec chocolate, banana Oreo, raspberry cheesecake, cannoli cream, coconut, maple walnut, and seasonal flavors such as apple pie, pumpkin, candy cane, etc. While the ice cream is creamy, the flavor is not as strong or distinctive as I like. It gets busy in the summer, and even in nice weather like an unusually warm last March weekend, the parking lot was filling up, to my surprise. My wife and I have frequented this location twice this summer as an alternative to the "treat" chains. The first time, we thought it was "okay." Staff was friendly and service was prompt. Our ice cream (cotton candy and choc. chip mint) was subpar, but again, a good alternative. The second time (last sunday night) was most likely the last time we will visit. It was about a half hour before close and the counter girl had an attitude. I got a large cotton candy shake and wife got moose tracks ice cream. The shake, I shall refer to as "cotton candy flavored milk" was extremely diluted and not worth the price. The moose tracks ice cream lacked flavor, and the only texture was provided by the chunks of ingredients which had already sunk to the bottom. read more

Being located in the heart of Morristown, the prices are a bit on the higher side, but the ice cream is 100% homemade and sourced with local, seasonal ingredients. I love seeing all of the creative flavors and there are always so many different options to choose from. In the refrigerated section, there are pints and cakes available to take to-go. Monthly/seasonal flavors are offered as well. You can even create a custom ice cream flavor for a special occasion. Service is also very friendly and happy to help, even when they are very busy. They are very involved in the local community and source ingredients from surrounding local businesses. I am part of a local running club in town and each year they collaborate on a special flavor called "Neon Swirl". I can't wait for my next trip back to Beenie's to try more amazing flavor creations. They also have a ping pong table. Cute outdoor seating area. Nice enough to sit outside so we did. We ordered a banana split. The three flavors were chocolate, Jersey can, and cake batter. The toppings we got were waffle cone pieces, cake crunchies, cherries, and rainbow sprinkles. The price was perfect. Can't complain about 7.50 for what we got. We were able to share it too. Yelp had a free coffee so I got a latte and it was pretty decent. Great service, they were patient and friendly. We will be coming back to try other flavors.
