Absolutely fantastic experience here. So calming and everything you need to detach. It wasn't too busy when I came on a Sunday, so the spaces weren't crowded. I really enjoyed the steam room, where they provided eucalyptus spray to scent the air. There was also a women's only indoor and outdoor jacuzzi, in addition to the steam room. The locker rooms are clean and well stocked with everything that you could need, from razors to shower caps to lotion, and everything is biodegradable and made out of sustainable materials, which I really appreciate. The outdoor pool area is lovely, with a cafe. There were multiple rooms in which to rest, with a fireplace and comfy couches, and rotating sips and drinks. I also had a massage which was amazing. If you're searching for a retreat that includes the royal treatment, Aji Spa is for you! Now that I am in AZ every so often, I take advantage of the beautiful valley and all it has to offer. During my last stay, I was on a mission for a day of relaxation and solace. Hitting the jackpot at Aji Spa is an understatement!! Prices do reflect the service and atmosphere, but I can tell you it is worth what you pay! Sorry not sorry for this longer review, but I feel like you need to know all of this to make an informed decision. =) I booked an appointment for Monday, July 1st. After browsing their website, I opted for the Uplift Massage, which is a summer special only available Monday thru Thursday. I also booked my friend's appointment, as we haven't seen each other since my last visit. The process was easy. I called in late Friday, but they were no longer answering phones just before 5 pm, so I went online to book. Within minutes, I received a call to confirm details followed by an email with all the info I needed. Upon arrival Monday morning, I was glad to see the parking lot nearly empty. When I checked in, I was pleasantly greeted and shown to the ladies' locker room to change. The lobby is gorgeous, and the entire environment will put you in Zen mode for sure. The co-ed relaxation room offers a small variety of healthy snacks and drinks you can help yourself to. They have everything you could need for your visit. You have a robe and slides waiting for you and a locker to store your personal items. Set your own 4-digit combo and go! I took advantage of the gym, as I had some extra time before my friend arrived. It had all the equipment and machines, including a rower (which, of course, I used), yoga mats, and free weights. They even have bottled water, towels, and the fancy water machine. When my friend arrived, we had time to chat a bit before our treatments started. We then went out poolside where we enjoyed peace and tranquility with only 1 other person on the far end. We loved our massages! Tiffani was really professional and made sure to check with me regarding pressure and comfort level, and she offered add-ons. I chose the facial, and I was even able to take the leftover mask with me. We did not order any food during our time at the pool, but the staff came around at least 3 times to check if we needed anything. Stellar service all around. They even have a small meditation hut behind the pool. I also used the indoor jacuzzi, steam, and sauna rooms. The showers are very well appointed with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. They even have body lotion. All of it smells so good, too! The stalls are equipped with fresh towels, disposable razors, and shower caps. The one I used at the end is ADA accessible as well. At the end of my visit, I felt completely rested and rejuvenated. I very highly recommend Aji Spa for your relaxation needs. We loved our visit and will be coming back, no doubt. I hope it's a ghost town again when I return because it's the best when you have a place like this all to yourself, lol! Bottom line: There is nothing bad about this place, and even if I tried, I couldn't find anything to nitpick about. I've been to Aji many times, with groups or just by myself and it's always a great time. Facials and massages are amazing but it's seriously one of the best pedicures I've ever had. And every time they are consistently good, no matter which technician you see. I recently had a pedicure from Maxine who was amazing, Joanne is amazing, and there is another full time nail tech whose name I don't have- buty friend saw her and absolutely loved it. Shout out to the girls at the front desk as well, I'm always in a daze after a day of relaxing and they make the checkout process much easier. I was there recently when a large group was all checking out at the end of the day, it was a little overwhelming just for me as a guest, Tatiana and the other gal at the front desk (Name tag started with 'Ch') were just so kind and patient and just amazing. They were respectful and catered to our every need. With the massages, we also had full access to the locker rooms the have hot tubs, access to the pool, saunas, and steam rooms. I obviously couldn't do most of those being pregnant, but my husband loved it! I took advantage of the rain shower and used the amenities to freshen up after. One of my favorite things to do on vacation is to visit a spa and enjoy a good massage. So I feel like I've been fortunate enough experience many different places and know a few things about them. Aji Spa is a-ok. I like that it has a vibe that fits with the resort-Native American themed with the quiet music in the background, the décor and the products used in the massage that were created by local indigenous people. That's cool. The spa has some nice amenities that you can enjoy the full day of your service including private pools, hot tubs, sauna and steam room. The locker rooms are well stocked with toiletries and are very clean as well as spacious. I read that there is a small café where you can order food and drinks, but I didn't try that out. I did enjoy the tea and assorted nut mix in the co-ed room. Those were nice. The massage itself was ok-not remarkable or noteworthy. For the price ($250 for a 50 minute massage), I would have expected a little more. Like I said, I've had many massages, so I know a good one from an ok one. I think we were paying for the experience of the full spa rather than the highest quality massage money can buy. Tucked away and apart from the casino and in a beautiful desert oasis. My daughter and I loved our spa day. We each had a deep tissue massage from Mike and Tim and both were great. Spa guests can arrive as early as 9 and stay until 5 I believe. We enjoyed lounging by the pool, using the steam room, sauna, and the indoor whirlpool. There are three whirlpools to choose from. Aji Cafe servers are out from 11-4. Their raspberry refresher drink helped take away any pain that my massage didn't already alleviate. Both the Native Cobb and Elote chop(I added shrimp) salads were wonderful. Portions are huge and definitely shareable. The spa attendant provided us with spa shoes, robes and lockers. Everything was well-stocked with shampoo, body wash, hair bushes, etc, everything you could possible need. Even sunscreen! The treatment I got was the Ancient Shegoi Wrap and massage. This was done by a member of the Pima tribe, so as to pay respects. This started with a dry brushing, then you're covered with the oil, wrapped in multiple cozy layers (like being swaddled!) and then given a scalp and upper body massage. It was absolutely heavenly! My massage therapist was friendly and informative. The treatment was lovely and relaxing. Wow, wow, wow! I had the most incredible experience here for my birthday spa day. It's a bit far from home for me, but so worth the drive! Everyone was super friendly from beginning to end, the facility is gorgeous; locker rooms are spacious, showers are AMAZING, they have all of the amenities you could hope for, and the pool is so lovely. The lounge rooms are equipped with water, iced tea, hot tea, and sweet + savory snacks. My massage was incredible. I love that they incorporate native traditions into each treatment. My favorite being the special balm made with the plant that smells like desert rain. I even purchased the mist that they have made specifically for the spa because it is the dreamiest! I sprayed it on my pillow last night. I had a wonderful time relaxing by the pool (although the water was a bit warm - just wish it was a tad more refreshing during the summer months). I had a wonderful day at Aji Spa recently. I originally wanted to get a massage, but by the time I went to book (a few weeks out from our stay) it was full. Some advice would be to book a long time in advice. However, I enjoyed an amazing pedicure by Boudora. She did an excellent job and was a delight to talk with. I loved the conversations we had. The amenities at the spa are available for those who get a service done. They have men's and women's lockers, a relaxation room (co-ed and a separate women's), a co-ed pool and hot tub and both locker rooms have their own sauna, steam room, outdoor and indoor hot tub, showers, bathrooms, and you can request different toiletries and tools (hair dryer, toothbrushes, etc.). There is also a cafe you can order food from and the food we got was delicious. I probably spent 7 hours there and loved every minute of it. Spas are my happy place. read more

This place is great, this is my third trip, this would have been 5 stars if they didn't have some odd and unbendable rules. We were a group of 4, they didn't have appointments on Sat for all of us. This was fine we understood however, they would not allow anyone without an appointment to be in the spa at all, they do not have an option. to pay for day use either. So on Sat twonof us went to appointments but none of us used any of the amenities which should have been part of the 400 dollar mani/pedis. Still a 5 star experience. I have been coming here for almost eight years. This spa has everything you can need and more. I typically go two or three times a year. I alternate between massage and spa pedicure. These are the best spa pedicures in the vally. I usually see Gloria or if I am lucky the other Gloria (partime). Both these ladies are fantastic. Over the years never really had a compliant. Except when they got rid of chicken flatbread pizza...which they did again recently. BOO however the new chef is amazing and they have culivated some new menu items. Recently the spa has been updated so new showers, new pedicure bowls. I am sure there was something more but that mainly were I stay. I like the fact that there is a co-ed indoor relaxation area. It isn't big but at least two sexes can hang out. I typically go early to catch a quick workout before I do my hydrotherapy with the sauna, steam room and hot tub. Then I get my treatment, followed by lunch at the pool. Usually throw a few delicious drinks back and relax until time to shower and change up. I usually end up styling my hair here because the vanity is huge. It takes an hour but rather do here with comfy seat than stand at home. Anyhoo check this spa out. Nice this is that the outlets are next door. This was the first spa experience for both my husband and I, so we weren't really sure what to expect, but Aji Spa has set the bar so high. We were in Phoenix celebrating our two year anniversary. The traditional gift is "cotton", so I wanted to book a massage for the two of us. A friend who used to live in the area recommended Aji Spa to us, and upon further research, I discovered the "Mustangs and Massage" package, where you get a horseback ride on the reservation, lunch, and a massage. I thought this would be right up our alley. We were shown around the facility upon our arrival and were met by our guide for the horseback ride. As we rode around the surrounding reservation, he told us a lot about the history of the reservation, the Native American people, and Phoenix in general. We learned so much just in the hour and a half we spent with him. We also got to see wild mustangs, including a baby that had been born just a few days prior. Once we returned to Aji we changed into our bathing suits and the robes the spa provides and lounged around the pool for a while. The salt water pool is warm and shallow. The Mustangs and Massage package comes with a lunch item. Each of us got the Gila Flatbread (delicious!) and we shared a bottle of Prosecco. Katie was very attentive and conversational with us. We had a 50-minute massage with Ruben and Korina that was very relaxing. They have a co-ed relaxation room to wait in before your masseuse will greet you. We finished off the day by the pool again with our fruit smoothies. The bathroom and locker rooms are spacious and clean. Loved the rain showers! Aji Spa provides shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a razor and shaving gel in the showers. I can't say enough good things about our experience at the Aji Spa. I would love to return. read more

I get massages pretty often, but I've never been to a spa. I spent months deciding which one to go to for my birthday since there are so many in Arizona. I ultimately decided on Aji Spa because I have stayed at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass a few times and am absolutely in love with it. From the moment I called to set up the appointment, I knew I had picked the right place. The lady on the phone was so friendly, professional and competent. It was a little complicated with how many people/preference of massage pressure and masseuse gender etc. but she got it all down perfectly. It was such a beautiful and welcoming place! I felt right at home. Someone walks you around and shows you where everything is. You get the coziest robe and some plastic sandals to use for the day. They offer anything you could possibly need in the locker rooms.. deodorant, curling iron, shower caps, etc. I love how the pool curves so you're never really sitting by anyone or staring at anyone across from you. But it was also pretty empty, which added to the peacefulness. I never saw more than 5 people at a time. The women's locker room has an indoor and outdoor hot tub, but there's also a co-ed hot tub out by the pool. The waitress out by the pool instantly brought us water once we went out there and was very attentive the whole day. The cocktails were delicious. We didn't know what a lot of the food on the menu was (haha!) it was all a bit fancy BUT we ordered 3 different entrees and a dessert and it was all INCREDIBLE. It's all light pool food.. nothing too heavy. More healthy. Which you want while you're trying to lay out in your swimsuit haha. There's snacks and tea and water in the most beautiful co-ed room with a fireplace inside where you can wait for your masseuse (or whatever you're getting) to come get you. I completely felt like I got my money's worth. You get all day to enjoy the spa and fitness center, and it's just so relaxing. My massage was great and they add in a lot of little extras to make it worth every dollar. When I went to check out, they had given us two of our entrees for free for our two birthdays (WHAT) and added some locals discount to our bill which gave us discounts on all the massages!! I completely did not expect any of that, and the fact that they did it all without us even asking is what made me just fall head over heals for this spa. Start to finish, a perfect spa day. I felt welcomed, comfortable, and seen by all the staff the entire day. I arrived early for my facial so I could take in the amenities. I'm not a fan of steam or sauna or hot tubs so I skipped them this visit. I decided to relax by the pool. I had the perfect spot, the view was amazing, and the music was very relaxing. I ordered lunch, avocado toast and chocolate dipped strawberries. Both were delish! I normally would have ordered a cocktail, but it was too warm so I stayed with chilled water. My facial was relaxing. My aesthetician took the time to listen to what my skin regime is and what my goals were and recommended a great combo of services that targeted my concerns. At the end of my session my face felt clean, uplifted, and moisturized. There is only one thing missing from this spa. There isn't a quiet room for us ladies to seriously relax and unwind before/after treatment. The ladies lounge is a small pass through room with 2 chairs and 2 lounge chairs. With people constantly walking next to you to access the ladies locker room and the coed room. Before and after my treatment I decided to sit in front of the fireplace before and after sessions, it was still very relaxing. read more

Beautiful facility, serene and quiet, just as you want in a spa. I arrived 20 minutes prior to my appointment time as requested and had some time waiting in the lounge for my massage therapist, enjoying some water. The lounge was beautiful but would suggest that signage is installed to ask clients to not take phone calls inside. The vibe was definitely off when a gentlemen was taking a work call talking about plans and proposals very loud and passionately in the lounge blocking the serene music. The therapist arrived in the lounge a bit past my appointment time, but was friendly and welcomed me to the spa. Once we arrived in the room, she had a speech about some products being used in relation to being on tribal land. She then went through a list of optional upgrades such as CBD, deep tissue, facial mask, and took care to explain in detail about each option and associated cost. There is a clock in the room, so I could see at this point we were 14 minutes past my appointment time and the massage hadn't started/I was still in a robe. The massage itself was nice but rushed. You could tell she was rushing to get some massage time which resulted in quick touches and lacked a relaxing feeling I get in other spas. She was nice enough to check in and ask about pressure. The massage ended at 32 minutes of actual massage for what is advertised as a 50 minute massage. Although I know the importance of me being timely in spas as therapists are often booked back to back, a few suggestions for the facility: 1) ensure the therapist is on time when the client is. The therapist being delayed to the lounge should not impact the clients massage period 2) have the front desk explain the products used and connection to the tribal land. I didn't agree to go through education about tribal land in lieu of massage time. Additional add on options like CBD should also be discussed at the front check in desk and the massage therapist should have all answers in the system upon greeting the client Lastly, if the therapist is running late for something and scheduling doesn't allow you to finish the 50 minutes of massage, offer a price reduction. The price is high for the area, so I do expect to get the time advertised and also expect the spa to make it right when the service isn't fully fulfilled read more

It was in summer and hot outside, so didn't sound much time in pool, but did take a dip to test out. Our lunch was decent but nothing extraordinary. Our massages were amazing! The staff from the reception desk to the therapists are wonderful! You are really taken care of by everyone and all the additional amenities (I.e., shower, products, hot tubs) in the dressing room are wonderful and accessible. When you go into the waiting area, there are quite a few places and types of furniture to use as well as tea and small snacks. Over the years I have had massages, a cranial massage, body treatment, facial and the scalp treatment in the Salon. The restaurant has good food as well. I spent the whole hour profusely sweating even after asking the therapist to turn down the heat. I spoke with the concierge, Emily, and told her how my "relaxing" massage was the most uncomfortable experience I have ever had and she couldn't do anything for me. We came here to celebrate my mom's birthday. We had a full body massage, but we got there a little early and enjoyed the spa area, which offers saunas, hot tubs, a pool area, relaxation areas for lounging, and a cafe. I was put in a relaxation coma after the massage. Not only is it massage, but it is truly an experience in itself. Oil is used for the massage and peaceful music is playing in the background. I had a wonderful afternoon at the Aji Spa. It started poolside with Cody's excellent service providing Mimosas and Empanadas (and never letting my water glass get less than half full). I then headed indoors for a sauna. The spa was immaculate! I finished my day with the amazing Ancient Shegoi Wrap & Massage. Let me start off by saying the Aji Spa is absolutely incredible! I had an amazing experience when I went for the first time on my birthday. Everything about the experience was positive, even walking through the parking lot to get to the spa. Surrounded by picture perfect desert scenery and calming running fountains. When I checked in the woman was very friendly and gave me a tour of the facility. After changing into the most comfortable robe I went into the relaxation area. They had spa water, multiple flavors of hot tea, homemade granola and the most delicious nut and seed mixture (which they sell bags of!). I ate a few light snacks and drank tea until my massage therapist came in to take me back to start the massage. I cannot remember his name but he was very tall. My massage was perfect! Everything I imagined and felt very relaxed afterward. I went in their steam room and indoor jacuzzi. The steam room has a large water bottle full of eucalyptus spray and it was so refreshing! Loved that nice touch. I swam in the outside pool for a bit and then went back in to shower. The locker rooms and showers are large and very nice! Everything provided for you and I loved the shampoo and conditioner. I took my time getting ready and packed up my bag and before I left I went out by the pool and had a margarita! It was delicious! All around 5 star experience and I can't wait to go back! read more
