Haven't been here in awhile and things have definitely changed. I used to love this place but unfortunately tonight was not good, the chicken skewers we got were burnt and tasted like a dirty grill, completely inedible. We came in on 7pm on Thursday with party of 4 , the restaurant was disorganized and there seems to be a lot of confusion between the waitstaff . When we arrived they told us the kitchen was behind, but couldn't give us an estimate of how long it was going to be . They told us there were other parties in front of us waiting for food as well. We decided to stay as we were waiting on our friends to arrive . They had 2 eight seater tables open , but told us to wait for a 4 seater table to open . I mean there is 2 of those tables , it's their second day of being open, Slim chance those tables were going to be needed . 3 Waiters were running around In the back, not sure what they were doing since no food was coming out . I didn't see a manager around , which would prob be helpful during your soft opening . I felt that we weren't really wanted there , so we left . Went here on a monday night. Not very many people there. We were seated quickly. Order the spicy miso, it was pretty good. Lacked a little flavor but not bad overall. We went during the "soft opening" which was quite confusing. The menu was hard to understand because it lacked translation. Interior of restaurant was quite nice and clean which is the reason for one of the stars. Both our ramen broths were good and the meat was spectacular, but there was not nearly enough of anything other than the ramen. The quality of the ramen was just okay. Being that it is a ramen restaurant, we expected much better ramen. We have been to other ramen restaurants where the ramen was quite delicious. We heard that a new ramen place was having a soft open so my parents and I came here for lunch. We ordered the takoyaki as an appetizer. There wasn't really much 'tako' in there and didn't have the consistency that takoyaki should have. In terms of ramen, I ordered the Shoyu ramen and my parents ordered the miso ramen. The broth of the miso ramen was okay, but the broth of the shoyu ramen was a little too sweet. I don't know what noodles they used but it was definitely not ramen noodles. The noodles were extremely undercooked and each bite felt like a bite into undercooked noodle dough. Since it's a soft open, I hope that they get good feedback and fix these problems. read more

I'm very happy to have found this place! I sampled the pork-belly and the bacon-wrapped okra skewers. Both were excellent, and were as beautiful as they were delicious. I also tried the Kimchee Ramen which was superb. The broth was outstanding with just enough spice to make my hair "sweat" a little bit...just the way I like it. Service was excellent. Hot and delicious. The noodles were sticking together as if undercooked. I loved the seaweed salad it will become a house favorite. We couldn't be more pleased! The service here was impeccable. My husband was not excited to come here at all, he's not very adventurous with food, but it was my turn to choose. We started with the Takoyaki (which he did not want to try at first since it was octopus), the crab jalapeno poppers (he also didn't want because it was crab),and edamame. The takoyaki was so good and so beautiful my picky husband ate two and is now a fan of octopus. I loved the texture and seasoning as well as the freshness, this is hands down some of the best takoyaki in Houston. The crab jalapeno poppers were also delicious, he ate one, I had one, and our son had one. We had to split the last one because everyone loved them. The edamame was good, hot, and perfectly cooked. We then ordered the chicken skewer tonkatsu ramen with extra broth so my son and I could split and the curried chicken don. I went during the soft opening and it seemed like a cool place. The decor was nice and I wish I could buy the seats. I ordered the Aji Ramen. It came out in steaming hot in 10 minutes. When I first dug in the noodles were stuck together. The noodles were good but is such a shame that the noodles were clumped together. I also ordered some skewers. They were seared perfectly and had just enough bite. The condiments were normal condiments you would expect to see. However, this is the soft opening and I am sure that they will fix all the flaws in time for the grand opening. read more

my go to spot! i visit this restaurant at least biweekly. the servers are always very friendly and polite. i've always had my order 100% accurate. i don't like the pork in the ramen, so i usually ask to substitute the pork for an extra egg and they do it without a problem. my favorite is the original aji tonkotsu. don't forget to try the aji buns! they are absolutely delicious, i prefer mine fried but they also offer steamed buns. read more

Seaweed Salad.....Delicious. Tempura Okra......Ridiculously Delicious! I got Aji Tonkotsu ramen and it was AMAZING! My wife got the Spicy Miso Ramen, and she couldn't stop doing her happy dance while eating. The bowl on the table with the jalepenos, onions & garlic was delicious to spice up your dish if needed.
