A great selection of Portuguese products (from mainland and the islands) and home ware / kitchen ware. Incredible selection of fish, salted cod, cheese, tinned fish, wine, etc. The worker in the wine section was super helpful and attentive. There was a large selection and told him what we typically enjoy drinking and he showed us multiple bottles. We went with two of the options he suggested and he hit the nail on the head. They were exactly what we like and wanted!! For imported products the prices are fair. Even the box of Queijada from the Azores price wasn't far off from what I paid on the island right from the source! They have a cafe as well, we didn't try it this time around but everything looked great. We will definitely be back and will try it the next time!!

Great olive oil section, self-serve olive bar, large tinned fish section and Portuguese wines. There is also a small cafe with pastel de nata and other assorted baked goods, and coffees. And a hot food section within the store. There is also a small store, with art, ceramic tiles, etc Wonderful place to shop for those who miss the homeland or have fond memories of trips to Portugal. Highly recommend..

The rotisserie chicken that they have on Saturdays is delicious, even my picky eating five year old was all about it. I also love their marinade that they have at their meat counter, it's like a piri piri/chorizo sauce. You can buy meat already marinating in it or a container of it for undere $2. You just have to ask at the meat counter. I also like to stock up on my Azores butter here. The cheese counter is a lovely sight. My aunt loves the St Jorge cheese. They cut it right off of the wheel for you. I'm obsessed with the fresh cheese that they carry from Manny's Dairy Farm. The large container generally does not last the weekend once my husband and I dig into it. Like fresh mozzarella, but better. The piece de resistance for me is their Portuguese corn bread-- broa. If you've never had it, it's a corn and rye bread (not at all like Southern cornbread). When you are headed to the checkout here they have it towards the front. I don't know if it's like this everyday, but on Saturday mornings it is literally still hot when you grab one. Super fresh and super delicious. It's the perfect compliment to that fresh cheese! Overall a solid supermarket with great items.

What a delightful little gem tucked away in Fall River, MA . Just a stone's throw from Battleship…read moreCove. Stumbled upon this place and discovered it was worth coming back. My initial visit was on a Monday night when they had all kinds of cheese specials for $10. Including a delicious cheese pizza. However on my second trip I discovered the real value was on their Sunday specials where you get a soup or salad, 1/2 portion of lasagna, a choice of chicken entree and a special pasta. All for $29. Needless to say there were doggie bags coming home with us. Dani our server was a sheer delight and most punctual with her attention to us. Needless to say I will be returning for a third visit soon!

We were here last night with a party of 17 for a birthday celebration. We had a 7:30 reservation…read moreand weren't seated until about 7:45, which wasn't a huge deal. Unfortunately, that's where things started going downhill. It took 30 minutes before anyone even took our drink orders. During that time we weren't offered water, bread, or asked if we had any questions. Drinks, which were just water and soft drinks, took another 15 minutes to arrive. Around 8:45 our server finally came to take our food order and told us the kitchen had asked her to wait before putting it in. By that point, one person in our group had already left to get Wendy's because he was tired of waiting. Once we finally ordered, there were still no drink refills. We asked for waters for the table and were brought five glasses with, "I have five waters, who wants one?" We had 17 people. It was just kind of unbelievable. Our food didn't come out until almost two hours after we arrived. By then everyone was hungry and thirsty. There were two kids in our group, and it would have been nice if their meals had at least come out earlier. Or bring us bread or something to hold us over. We also had to ask for salt and pepper because there wasn't any on the table. They brought one set for all 17 of us. We asked for another and eventually got one more set. I understand large parties can be challenging, but if the restaurant can't handle a reservation that size, it probably shouldn't accept it. The one positive was our server. She was very nice and seemed to be doing the best she could. I really wish I could say the food made up for the wait, but it was just average. Nothing was bad, but nothing was memorable either. Overall, it was a really disappointing experience.

Bill previously owned a highly successfully food distribution company, is a former chef and graduate of Johnson & Wales. The business name has changed, but the commitment to quality products and excellent customer service remains the same. There's a chance to taste anything in the store....little spoons and paper cups are available for you to tap into the container and sample any of the olive oils or vinegars. For those who like spicy, they have products made with habaneros and jalapeños, for those who like fruity they have several choices, including a mango flavored oil and red raspberry vinegars. They also have a "25 year oil" infused in wood barrels for those who like a nice smoky flavor note. The owners are very friendly and engaging. It's a bit pricey but everything I sampled was delicious. I bought a small ($9.99) bottle of the Chocolate Raspberry Balsamic as a gift for my parents, and my boyfriend bought a small Lemon Cucumber Balsamic bottle. My only suggestion would be to have some bread to dip the olive oils in - I've been in similar stores where I'm from (Michigan) and they had that. The employee (owner?) wrapped up our purchases very nicely - they're put in a paper gift bag with a bow and some other accoutrements - and then when she heard I planned on giving it as a gift, asked if I wanted it gift-wrapped. I said no thanks but was curious what else they'd add! Very cute store and I would stop by next time I'm in town.

I was going to purchase the store brand soup in the deli section when I came across this new brand. There was a promo of BOGO. The price was not listed. The brand was Blount Clam Shack, all the way from the east coast to the west coast (Massachusetts to California) There were only two kinds of soup available - gumbo and New England clam chowder. Okay, why not go for the promo? It doesn't hurt to taste the soup. Drawback? The gumbo is high in sodium (2320 mg if one eats all 24 ounces [3 servings] of it at once). Thirdly, I had some of the gumbo soup with a piece of garlic French bread last night for dinner. The soup was delicious and tasty. This afternoon I had another serving of the soup for lunch. The seasonings must have settled in the soup because it tasted better as leftover. The clam chowder soup is even higher in sodium, so I will put it aside for a few days before eating it. Finally, will I buy it again? Might, then might not. It's pricey like everything else in the deli section.
