Lox benedict with home fries - so delicious we ordered a separate order of home fries.

We had a lovely family brunch at Aita. Highlights were the lox Benedict, whitefish salad and homefries. A couple of vegetarians ordered the vegetarian lasagna. It was also very good. Everything was delicious and service was fast and friendly. Would definitely come again.

This review is for weekend brunch. Overall a solid brunch spot that I would check out if in the area. I had a reservation for 2 people - didn't seem too busy. There's ample outdoor seating which is great for warmer weather. The inside is a bit small, likely not good for larger groups. Service was great. Food: I ordered - -Buttermilk Pancakes: exactly what you expect / want with a pancake - slightly fluffy and buttery. Compote is the perfect level of sweetness. -Salmon Hash: this wasn't necessarily bad, but a bit underwhelming flavor wise. It needed more seasoning and was very under salted even with the bacon. It was a bit dry too so I ended up dipping in ketchup & hot sauce. -Beef Cheek Hash: this was the better of the two hashes, had much more flavor. The salsa verde is a nice touch.

I had always heard good things about Aita, so when I was in the area for an event I knew where my husband and I had to go for dinner! We showed up around opening to try snatch a walk-in table. Thankfully they had a spot for us! Service was friendly and we got a nice little plate of complimentary savory snacks to start us off. We indulged in some wine on happy hour and got some octopus and focaccia to accompany our first sips and bites. When I saw oxtail ravioli on the menu I knew that was the dish for me! And boy was I right. It was sooo satisfying! I think my husband was a little jealous, though he enjoyed his Ragu pappardelle too. We just liked mine a little more! Octopus was nice and tender and the focaccia was delicious. I totally see why Aita has a great reputation and I will absolutely be back next time I'm in the area.

My roommate and i's first installation in neighborhood restaurant dessert excursions. This was impeccable. The tiramisu was good but u MUST get the sour cream pie variation. Such a treat!!

    Kids Pasta

Skip this place for delivery. The kids size pasta was minuscule ($20 for around a dozen gluten free noodles with a dash of cheese and a few veggies), the mandarin in the salad should've had the membrane removed, and the rhubarb and olive oil cake was so so. Maybe dining in is a better experience, but delivery with their tiny portions isn't worth the money whatsoever.

Stopped here for a solo dinner on Thursday night and grabbed a seat at the bar. The place was already pretty busy at 7pm and stayed like that the whole time I was there. The vibe of the restaurant was really nice and cosy and I felt welcomed straight away. I ordered the oxtail ravioli which was delicious (the sauce was to die for, so rich and flavourful). I can never say no to dessert and I asked for the recommendation between the tiramisu and chocolate terrine and was told the terrine. I was so happy with my choice when it arrived as the dessert was outstanding. Rich but without being too heavy and I was able to eat the whole thing. All in all I think this was one of the best Italian restaurant I have been to in New York. The pricing was also reasonable and, with 2 glasses of wine as well, I thought the final bill was very reasonable. I will definitely be returning and am so glad that I have a restaurant like this only 15 minutes from my apartment (although my waistline may not be so happy).

    Breakfast + Beef Hash

I was so excited to try my friend's favorite restaurant in Fort Greene. Usually when there's so much hype, I end up being disappointed, but the food and setting at Aita was exactly what I needed on a cold winter day. The Breakfast spread was the perfect balance of every food group. You get your protein from the eggs and the bacon, some carbs from the potatoes and pancake, and your greens from the salad. All of the flavors came nicely together, almost like a breakfast sampler. My personal favorite was the pancakes -- the ricotta cream on top was amazing. My experience with beef hash is comfort food. Simple, easy, and just a big mess of beef and potatoes. The beef has at Aita however was next level. Cubes of steak that were so juicy and flavorful with potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and beautiful mushrooms. Incredible. Changed the meaning of beef hash for me. The table next to us ordered it too after they saw ours come out. You're welcome!

Try this place out because I liked their outside space. Although service was incredibly slow (even with few people there at first) the servers were lovely. The recommendations were fine. The food was just ok. I expected much more robust flavors. I would return for the ambiance more than the food.

Oxtail Ravioli and pasta with pumpkin and mushroom. Sooooo good
    Yana S.

The food was so good - it's been 5 days and I'm still thinking about it. Definitely will be back. The place is small and cute. Very cozy vibes especially with the staff. Everyone is very friendly. The location could've been better but it is what it is. I'll be back regardless.

    Plum and nectarine salad

I ordered the plum and nectarine salad. The portion size was offensively small for $21.

Their brunch dish called "breakfast" - the pancake with compote was spectacular, and the home fries were amazingly crispy and flavorful.

This is one of the best Italian restaurants in Brooklyn. The menu changes with the seasons, but still keeps a few regular classics.

They have non alcoholic wine options or non alc cocktails that aren't too sweet as I have a guest in my party that can't drink alcohol and as we get into Dry January looking to moderate myself?

Hi! Yes, we offer non-alcoholic wine, non-alcoholic beer, and have a wide selection of non-alcoholic spirits as well as a menu of special soft cocktails that use very little/no added sugars. :)

The scallop dish was quite small so not the best for sharing but the rest were all amazing. From the regular menu we got the mushroom toast which was absolutely delicious and great for sharing and the pork chop which is one of the best dishes I have ever had. Tasty cocktails but I do wish they had more options on the menu -- there are only 3 cocktails to order from. Half chicken with scallion ginger sauce was pricey for the portion size with no sides but perfectly cooked and seasoned. Chocolate dessert was also fantastic!

The food here is delicious and I was happy to see gluten free pasta options. The pork ragu was good but I was truly impressed by how good the texture of the gluten free pasta was. For me, the show stopper was the branzino. It was seasoned perfectly and the potato crust was a fun touch. The salad was nice and simple, but didn't blow me away. Portion sizes were good, though the prices are on the higher side. The restaurant is a great place for a friends' night or date night, and I'd keep the group small or make a reservation in advanced because it gets busy. It is definitely a more expensive spot, but worth it!
