I had to get used to putting up with formulations that never lost their smell (which is awful) or it took at least a couple days for the smell to dissipate. Previous spray services did not provide pre & post care instructions; give even color (sometimes leaving botches). Previous service providers did not give friendly service quite as Honey has, NOR did I feel that these previous providers welcomed spending time to answer questions. However, I've always been too scared to try a bikini wax because of how sensitive the skin is below the equator. Anyway, I swallowed my fears and booked an appointment at EWC through their easily navigated, and very convenient, app. I didn't have a tech preference when booking since I'd never been to EWC. I got Cara, and I feel I lucked out, even though I'm sure the other girls are nice. Cara was very easy going, soft spoken, and informative (and super professional!). I told her it was my first time doing bikini and asked her not to tell me when she was going to remove the strip, she obliged. She kept a light conversation going the whole time which really, really relaxed me and took my mind off of being stark naked (from the waist down) in the butterfly position with someone navigating around my vagina. The whole procedure took maybe 10-12 minutes (full bikini) and I am more than satisfied with first time results. I wouldn't say it's "painful" so much as it is uncomfortable and hot. The wax is warm, but the sting of the rip makes the skin feel like it's burning, but I swear only for a few moments. I have a relatively low pain threshold so I'd be honest. The actual pain is about 2-3 seconds immediately following strip removal, but truly, it's not terrible. I was geared up for *much* worse and was relieved. The redness subsided after about 3-4 hours and everything is nice and clean. I'm very pleased and look forward to continuing with this method of hair removal.

Sugaring is applied to the body temperature minimizing discomfort, still treats discoloration, the clean up is effortless with water and eliminates the usage of tongue depressors. *That's if you're a zero waste savvy.*. Unlike conventional wax is composed of rubber resins and other potentially harmful chemicals. All of my six visits were serviced by Danielle, loved her! Unfortunately she's no longer working at the franchise in efforts of receiving her degree. Which I salute and applaud her because school isn't for the weak! My last two recent visits were serviced by Sarah. Professional, personable and comforting through her words of encouragement. I'm elaborating the word "comforting " because if you're a first time wax (conventional or sugaring) client it could be misleading as everyone's tolerance level towards pain varies. I can say the more consistence the better for the benefits of less pain, becoming more comfortable with the process including your waxer and the swift of hair removal. I signed up for S Pass and didn't use it as much as I thought I would, ending up with over $300 in credit for services. I asked the manager if it would be possible to pause membership and still use my credit before resuming. She told me that she could remove my payment method from the account, the membership would still be active, I could use my credit, and add a payment method back later on. Perfect. Except that not only did this suspend my membership, and so did not work the way it was explained to me, in the intervening month the entire program was discontinued. Corporate headquarters informed me that (though when signing up for the Pass there was no indication that I was entering a contract with anyone other than the corporate entity), they took no responsibility for this or the fact that there was NO NOTIFICATION of the termination of the program sent to members. They flatly refused any assistance and told me it was the Memphis franchisee's responsibility to resolve the issue. I called the manager again. She returned my call saying that I could at least begin paying the monthly fee again and not be out the over $300 that I had lost. I went into the store to do so and had booked a service as well. When I arrived, I was informed that I could not, in fact, do this. I was provided a free service that day (the manager, to be fair, was as helpful as I think she was able to be at this point), but am still out a fair amount of money. I hate that I cannot continue to visit Tiana for service - again, she is fantastic - but I cannot give business to an establishment that wouldn't even offer to split the difference on a gift card to keep a loyal customer.

This was my first time getting eyelash extensions. They looked good when done, but there were glops of glue that irritated my eyes for days. Now, about a week later, the lashes are falling out in clumps and taking my natural lashes with them. I have done some research and this is not how it is supposed to happen.
