We have solar so we have the a/c on 72 degrees 24/7. We changed the filters every 3 to 6 months. We were using the oven and had friends over and everyone was hot. We turned down the a/c but it was over 78 in the house. We contacted A & H, July 20, 2026 and they charge $280 for a diagnostic. The technician came out the next day and couldn't find anything wrong but added a pound of Freon. Total charge was $380. That seemed to work but it didn't stay cool for long. On Aug 3rd they came and added 2 more pounds of Freon and charged $200. September 30, 2026 and we are still running warm by the end of the evening and during the heat wave it's over 80+degrees. I called them last week, Wednesday. On Monday, they will have one of their techs be in touch with me. On Wednesday, I asked for an appointment and a team member will be in touch with me. It's 3:30 Thursday. Hopefully, someone will contact us soon. I'll let you know if there are any updates.

By the time, I finally reached John, he knew exactly what was wrong! He is super honest and his price was amazing depending on what your issue is with your AC. My issue was I needed a new compressor which the other two bozo clowns couldn't figure out. My only regret is that I wish I found John as my first contractor instead of interviewing and working with the other two bozos! I live in Newark. I am more that happy with the results. This was a long term project. Ray was my contact and worked with me. They waited for 6 months as I was waiting for rebates to get approved from my utility. The approval came the beginning of July. The crew removed all of the old HVAC and installed the new system. This was just before the recent heat wave, so they worked hard to get it working before it hit. I now know that my old system was a POS. The new system has been excellent. It handled the 100F days without an issue.
