I was a damsel in distress. My car battery died and I had to have my car towed to a shop. I called several mechanic shops and asked if I could be towed to them. All made it known that they were not accepting tows and too busy to help. I called Airport Motors and they gladly took me in. Justin, the owner, was so understanding and reliable, it was such a relief! I was even offered a hug by Alex! They fixed my car in no time. I was both happy and sad by there expedient service because I could spend all day at this shop! Lastly, Julia and Tyler were gems and fun to watch! I'll be back for more car service!

Jasmin, cutest shop puppy ever

Literal lifesavers! My daughter's car battery was totally dead. We were able to get a jumpstart from AAA but they didn't have the battery in stock because they had been replacing a lot of batteries lately due to the cold weather onset. I called Justin after seeing all the great recommendations on here and the UCSB parents forum on FB. He was super helpful, said they had the battery and could do some additional testing to make sure nothing else was an issue. Brought the car in and they were able to test and replace the battery, no other issues. And it was done within 35-ish minutes thanks to Tyler. Battery and replacement cost was very reasonable and there was a 30-month warranty on the battery from the date of the receipt and if any issues to come back and they would replace it with a brand new one, no pro-rating. Definitely recommend giving them a call, they are very straightforward and reliable and Jasmin is the cutest shop puppy ever. We spent our wait time playing with her .

Jiffy lube invoice

Very poor service, almost like looting people, these days people say "support your local business. But businesses like this should be totally boycotted. Couple of weeks ago I went there as there was a cylinder misfire problem in my Nissan Altima. So I asked them to change my sparks and coils of all the cylinders, as the car was already 100k, The big boss said it's not required,he only changed one coil and charged me 248$. After 3 days one more coil got bad so I had to go Jiffy lube they changed everything all plugs and coil and charged me 548$. Totally disappointed I should have went to jiffy lube before

Justin fixed many of the problems with my 2004 Nissan quickly and properly. I plan on bring my other car in to him.

Took it back and they resealed it and returned it back to me, making me believe they had completely checked and finally finished their work. A year later, I had it checked somewhere else, and was so upset to find out, I had been driving my car with VERY little oil!!! The bastard never had refilled the oil in my transmission after they had failed to seal it properly!! Very incompetent shop! I'm surprised if they have any returning customers! Also, my steering wheel kept shaking after the transmission repair, and they kept telling me it was normal! I don't want to even give them one star! But I accidentally pressed it and can't undo it!

We were dealing with an incident claim at the nearby Walmart auto center (they broke our windshield during an OIL CHANGE. DO NOT RECOMMEND) and randomly found Parra's on maps. Mr Parra himself was already with a customer but came over to us as soon as he was done with them. He very quickly assessed the issue, asked us to park closer, fixed it immediately (even though we ordered a misfiring part). And then didn't charge us a dime. He said it was a safety necessity for our kids on board. I will be coming back for all future work, he was clearly an expert and natural. I'm not sure if the negative reviews just met a completely different man? He does not care about juicing customers for money. He is fast paced and knowledgeable. Works well on the fly. Maybe you have to catch him on a Sunday? Maybe you have to have a good attitude? All I know is, he will be fair in pricing and know a lot about your car. I will be driving up from LA to see him every time I need.

As many can likely relate, I have struggled to find good mechanics who are also honest and (sadly) respectful toward women. I used to take my car to the Toyota dealership, but not only did my local one disappoint many times, I also wanted to support small businesses, and finally through searching on Yelp, I found Allstar. Mike, the owner, and Julio, the person who last worked on my car, are great! Both times I have taken my car, I have gotten the services the car needed and not been oversold, which I really appreciate. My car is older, so of course, there have been recommendations on things to fix, but Mike and Julio have been honest about what required immediate attention and what can wait a bit longer. This has not been the case at other places. Since I have only been here twice, I don't have much more to add, but I'll update this as needed.

They failed to properly seal the oil pan twice and I had to take my car back 3 times! the second time they had used glue to seal the oil pan making a huge mess and voiding my warranty. Not only did it take them 3 attempts to finally reaper the oil pan they also over filled my engine oil by 2 and half quarts and the e fine mounts had to be replaced "again" cause it was quite obvious they never changed in the first place but charged me for it. Now my entire front suspension is compromised either due to them tampering or just the fact they had to drop my front suspension 3 times. Also their main tech isn't ASE certified and is just a "helper " AVOID THIS CHOP SHOP !!
