Last…read moreweek we hired movers to relocate the entire contents of the storage unit - which included the furniture for an entire apartment - and discovered that the majority of items had been destroyed by rodents. There were holes chewed in the couch with the stuffing pulled out. Both the couch and the love seat were unsalvageable. The boxes that had been taped shut and sealed were all chewed through. The packing paper was chewed up and there were droppings and blood EVERYWHERE. All the items we had hired movers to load up the truck had to be unloaded, inspected, most thrown away, reboxed, and reloaded - costing us hundred of extra dollars. As if this wasn't enough, when we contacted the office, the owner, Ron Owens, was very unhelpful but agreed to meet at the storage unit and look at the damaged sofa. Upon inspection, he said he had no responsibility for any damage in any of the units and the only thing he could offer was to "read the lease agreement". Needless to say, we are extremely unhappy after paying to have these items stored for the last two years to find that they were destroyed. This was a waste of two years of payments considering most items had to be thrown away due to the blood and feces covering it.

Easy code access lets me open the entry and exit gates using my phone. Motion sensor lighting is a plus too. The staff try to find solutions instead of just enforcing rules. Snacks, water, coffee and tea are lovely services they provide. Over the holidays they offer a stocked gift wrap area. I have packages delivered to the facility then wrap instead of doing such at home. Even though there are storage units closer to my home this facility is well worth a few extra miles.

When we arrived in town, the facility was obviously well maintained and Ellen, who met us at the facility, was happy to help us make final arrangements before our items arrived. Even after our move-in, the staff at the facility worked with us to make our experience one worth extolling. We were genuinely sad to leave when we no longer needed the storage as the people at Coolbox are simply great to work with. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking to store their things at the best storage facility in town!

He eventually asked for a link to the vanity so he could purchase another one, but after attempting to follow up with him he has completely ghosted us. I have been calling several times a week for a couple of months now, leaving a voicemail every time, and he still won't call me back. To make matters worse, the one time I did get him on the phone to follow up with the wall repairs he had a smart mouth and mocked my impatience with him. We had spoken to other realtors before our move saying they have a horrible reputation, but we didn't believe it at the time because up to that point they had been very professional, but that all changed once they got our business. If you value your furniture and don't want to work with a coward that runs from accountability, definitely try someone else. There are plenty of other movers out there.

It wasn't until I got to Pelham and met Greg that I decided to buy a mattress. We went through the awkward and fake "becoming best friends" experience in all the stores we visited. I had to argue with one Bedszzzz manager because he wouldn't accept my assessment of the size of the mattress I was replacing. Without exception they all wanted to start with a higher line than I had said I wanted. Greg stood up, smiled, and said, "How can I help you today," and the experience got better from there. He didn't have the size I wanted in extra firm, but he brought in another size of the same mattress from the warehouse and let me try it. I told him I liked it and he gave me a price that was 10% to 20% better than the same mattress in other stores. I asked him about delivery. Greg looked out the window and saw the Honda CRV I was driving and said, "If you want to go over to the warehouse just down the road, the mattress would fit in my car and I could take it home today. Then I could bring the old mattress back at my convenience." As he was writing up the order, I learned his name and we talked about his kids and my grandkids and had a very pleasant visit. I don't suppose, at my age, I'll be buying many more mattresses, but if I do, I hope Greg is still there 'cause I love his service. BTW, I love the mattress, too. He got my car up quickly and followed us to our house where he unloaded the car and changed the tire for us. When the spare turned out to be flat and he realized all we had was a bike pump he filled it with air for us. Hopefully we won't need his services again, but if we do I'm very relieved to know that he's there.
