I wanted a couch that day so I picked one in the store but had I been able to wait for one I would've looked more at their online inventory. They also have a whole back room for clearance items. I wanted the Catnapper Transformer because it was made in America, real leather, and all three seats have a retractable foot rest and the backs recline. I had never seen a three seat couch where all three seats recline! I called the day before to find out if this item was available on the showroom floor and I couldn't have gotten a friendlier person on the phone to help me. She was like Aunt Bea brought all of the way to 2019 to help out a man in need. The next day I went down there in a hurry to try this bad boy out for myself. Now remember, I've sat on about every couch in Birmingham by this time so I know just what I'm looking for in terms of the perfect firmness/cushiness and the look I wanted the leather to have. She encouraged me to sit on it any way I wanted to and even stretch all of the way across it! She showed me a few more items in the store to make sure this one was what I wanted but i was sold on this beauty from Mississippi. They threw in delivery for free and I bought an extended warranty on top of the manufacturer warranty because I want this to last me the long haul and my family ain't too easy on the furniture. Do yourself a favor and check out Standard when you are shopping for furniture. Unless you like to pay way too for crappy furniture and get pushed around by know nothing sales people. December 8 -- Along with wife, bought a bed. Was told by salesperson, "Hey, it will arrive in 6-8…read moreweeks." No sweat. See you guys in late January, early February. February 21 -- Seventy-five days later, I walk into the store. A very nice woman greets me. "Hi. When is our bed going to be delivered?" "Hmmm....Sometime in early March." "You guys told me 6-8 weeks." "I don't have any record of that." "That's what was told to us." "Well, let me check on that." Mind you, the woman who waited on me was very nice and professional, so a bonus star for that. But I think waiting 13 weeks for a piece of furniture--especially when I was told the wait would be roughly half that--is excessive. No. Seriously. I realize that this is not Ikea. I do understand having a waiting period for well-built stuff. I really do. But houses are built in less time. Handel took only 24 days to write The Messiah. The entire invasion of Iraq took place in less than a month. A quarter of the year has slipped past. However, this is what happens when your furniture is made in China. So, right now, our bed is likely sitting in a container in Long Beach. And if there is some ding in the furniture, then we'll be waiting another 13 weeks. So if you're looking to buy furniture, forget what the salespeople tell you. Expect a wait.

I took someone there at the end of our shopping trip due to their demanding pleas to 'just see'. Long story short, against my better judgement they paid for a NEW dining room set with a debit card. I noticed when it was still on the truck none of the items were in a box and called the store to see why?They insisted it was indeed all new. I should have never allowed it off the truck. Once it was in the house and I sent them pictures proving it wasn't new they instructed the driver not to take it back, refused to refund the money back to the card and tried to tell me I agreed to buy the floor model. Had I done so I assure you I would have negotiated a discounted price. They then pointed to the fine print on the sales agreement for "Installment Loans" they wrote the purchase up on that said there are no refunds on anything on this sale. This was a cash purchase and there was damage to the table, a chair and China cabinet. Everytime I see one of their deceiving commercial on TV my anger for crossing their doorstep returns. Had I been in control of that person's affairs, I would have followed the process with their bank to dispute the situation, hired an lawyer and/or protested in person, on line and contacted the local media. They have been able to get away with this predatory behavior because their customers dIdn't have the capacity to dispute them. I wouldn't let myy worst enemy buy a mop from them.

We were a bit skeptical prior to walking into the store, but do not judge a book by its cover! As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a friendly associate. We had a very nice young man named Rodney who made us feel very welcome and not pressured in the slightest. He was very knowledgeable on all the products and really helped us understand the various models of the furniture (couches, bedroom set) we were looking at. The furniture was very high quality and much more sturdy/well-made than most of the furniture you will find at big box stores. We were "just browsing" our first time in the store. The next day we came in to purchase the furniture and Rodney immediately remembered us by name. The whole process was very easy and stress-free. The owner of the store even came out and talked with us for quite awhile and made us feel at home. The furniture they delivered a few days later was immaculate and the deliverers even put together the bed frame for us. I have nothing but positive things to say about this hidden gem, and we will certainly be back in the future if we have more furniture needs!
