I needed a key copy and this place was super fast, friendly, and great price. The guy who helped me had made the process super easy and I'd highly recommend this place read more

Quick and easy! Needed to get a "Do Not Duplicate Key" copied. Called ahead just in case and spoke with a lovely gentleman who walked me through the process. I had a memo from my landlord to get the key copied, but I didn't end up needing it! I showed up and was in and out in about 3 minutes. It was the same guy from the phone and again, he was very nice and efficient. Since the key was a Do Not Duplicate key, they have you sign a waiver, but they will copy it for you with no problems. For a standard key, it was about $6 per copy. Easy peasy! Will definitely get keys copied here in the future read more

Walked in to make some extra keys and purchase some key rings. Christian was very professional and quick with the service this business provided. Thank you read more

Amazing service got a key copied was in and out in about 5 mins for cheap too! Definitely the spot to get something like this done

Great service and very fare pricing. Definitely recommend them. Help me fish out a broken key from my lock and fixed the jam lock on my luggage! read more

Came in to get my "Do not duplicate" keys made for the office, again... 'But for the first time, here. Our company's president has an issue with his key "not working." (Personally, I think he just keeps losing them and doesn't want to admit to the team that's the real story. - LOL) Shop front - https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/airport-lock-and-safe-irvine?select=e8fYdOQisZfYLwhAsjMi0g I entered the small shop, there was a gentleman @ the front counter. From the sound of their conversation, he worked for UAL (United Airlines), just across the road at SNA; John Wayne Airport. They were wrapping up a transaction. The odd thing was after I just walked in, everyone just looked @ me like I was abruptly interrupting a secret Illuminati meeting. - Awkward. The two behind the counter and even Mr. United looked @ me with an expression of, "What are you doing here?!" Yeh, weird. I thought, a guy walks into a locksmith shop... Hmm, maybe he's here for scrapbooking supplies? LOL - There I was standing just inside the door and these three cats are just all gathered around gawking @ me. So, naturally, I stood there quietly & returned my default, "dead face." No expression, no raised brow, just Stonewall Jackson all day... 'Ladies & gentlemen, we have achieved dead face. (Trust me, it's no easy feat because I want to laugh my @ss off but it was something I learned to develop when I was doing stand up comedy.) It must've been five seconds where I simply stood there with my lifeless face. FINALLY, one of the workers behind the counter asked, "How can we help you?" YES!!!... 'And we have a winner! There you go, that's how it is done! That is the right response when a customer walks in to your place of business; not merely just staring at them in silence. LOL - Sometimes it also preceded by a hello or good morning but this will do. - I thank you for playing the game of operating a business! If we stood in silence any longer, I was going to start playing charades and have them guess why I was there... 'Maybe to get a copy of keys?... 'Ya think? HA! I told him that I needed one copy of two keys; simple & straight forward. Total time; five minutes tops. I made sure to request a receipt to be reimbursed by the company. After the keys were made, the employee even highlighted the receipt. Hey, I appreciate the fact that he was actually listening and acknowledged that point by highlighting the total. (Thumbs up) On occasion, I need dock/boat keys made for the yacht club. I may give these guys a try the next time I'm in the area. Hopefully, I won't have to play "dead," or bust out any pantomime skits - (I hold up two fingers) "Okay, two words; here comes the first word... 'Sounds like tree." After reading over some of the other yelp*views, I have to say, I have yet to try the new keys I recently duplicated. I may make a run down to the Costa Mesa later this morning and will try them out for the first time. New keys (Photo) - https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/airport-lock-and-safe-irvine?select=XE0YP3sXIr_bh-_cdfLh5Q However, all joking aside along with the awkward first date moment when I initially walked in, Airport Lock & Safe seems to be a pretty solid shop. Although, this is a bit early in the relationship. Before I get ahead of myself, I need to: 1. See if the new keys work @ the office. 2. If they can duplicate the club's dock/boat keys; otherwise I'm making the drive to my usual shop in San Clemente. - Big Aloha! We had several keys made and none worked! We hope they will fix the problem. We thought they would do a better job than Home Depot or Lowe's but the keys did not work! We hope to update with better review in the future. read more

Got copied for desk keys at this place, and they worked perfectly fine. Service was great.

I came here to get some keys made for our office. It is conveniently located next to the business plaza in the area which is where my office is. The staff is friendly and they did a good job. It is also priced well in comparison to other places with similar services. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

DO NOT recommend! They are rude, inefficient and incompetent. This is the second time I brought my keys in to be duplicated and they do NOT work. The owner/manager and employee are extremely rude and asked that I leave the store since they were unable to make my keys work. No refund! 6/29/21 totally dissatisfied customer read more

Quick, excellent, friendly service. All our keys work perfectly. Thank you! I'll never use machine again.

This is a shout out to Cory with the Airport Lock & Safe team. Our office received a report about a homeless man making a drinking den out of our office building's exterior electrical room. Cory came out, assessed the door and it's hardware and called with recommendations and pricing. He ran back to his shop and came right back to fix our security concerns. He installed an auto-closer, a tamper-proof plate over the latch, and rekeyed the door. He was quick, efficient, and solved our issues all in one day. I'm extremely appreciative of his assistance and this experience is just another reason that Airport Lock & Safe is one of our top preferred vendors. Many thanks, Cory! read more

Super quick and friendly service. Came in to get two copies for my house key and it cost less than $5 within 1 minute. They even offered to fix the key for free if it didn't fit correctly. Never been to another locksmith location and I don't think I'll need to! read more

Professional, Quick and reasonable price!! Definitely will go back here for all my key duplicating needs.

I never realized how hard it is to find a good locksmith. Who would've thought getting copies of a few keys made would be such a huge pain in the a**. I initially tried Lowes and Home Depot and they both said that they didn't have the key blanks for the padlock keys I needed copied. So I tried reaching out to a few locksmiths on Yelp but a lot of them only had mobile trucks or only worked off appointments, and at least one said the job was too small. Too small? Dude, I just need some keys made...and you're an advertised locksmith??? Luckily, I found Airport Lock and Safe via Yelp. The place is diagonally across from the Main St parking lot at John Wayne Airport. First off, they actually have a brick and mortar store. It's kinda refreshing in this day and age of Internet commerce to find a brick and mortar store. Secondly, they take walk-ins. No appointments necessary just to have some keys made, and they literally have a giant wall full of key blanks so rest assured they'll probably have the key blank you need. Anyways, the guy who helped me out was prompt, professional and super friendly. Got in and out with my copied keys in less than 10 minutes and he even hammer stamped the copies with the letter corresponding to the labels on my original keys. I thought that was a really great personal touch. Thank you Airport Lock and Safe! read more

Definitely as good as it gets! Just opened up an office in Newport Beach, company supplied the furniture. Unfortunately, most of the filing cabinets and desks didn't have keys! Gave Airport Lock and Safe a call with the description of my problem, they said to come on in! Met Matthew at their office, he immediately knew the solution and let me know that he'd order the correct tumblers and the giddup I needed. Matthew sent me an email 2 days as promised to let me know the keys and tumblers for the office furniture were done and ready for pickup! -Pricing- Roughly $120 for 5 key tumblers and 6 keys for the office furniture! Not too shabby! All in all, my new connection for keys and locks! Thanks Airport Lock and Safe! read more

This is one of the few places in Irvine that has a FULL SHOP, not just mobile trucks. I had to get some keys copied onto some custom blanks, and NOBODY in the area does it besides these guys. Their prices are fair, and service is fast. If you need a full shop this is the place to go in Irvine. read more

I spent a good chunk of the day trying to copy a small patio key. After going to Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware and other key machines I was about to just give up. As some reviews have noted, THIS IS AN ACTUAL KEY/LOCK SHOP. Finally, somewhere I can have my key copied without having to call any mobile key/lock companies. They were able to find the right blank for my smaller key and made the copy. Super satisfied and glad I was able to find this place, me being newer to the Irvine area. read more

Can't say enough good things about this company. They do what you ask, when you ask, at a reasonable price, with cheerful professional attitude. What more can you ask for? Keep up the great work guys. read more

We just used Airport Lock & Safe for an ignition key tumbler, door lock cylinder assemble and re-key. Price was good and work was turned around in the same day (on short notice). Won't know if every visit will be this good or if we caught them on a slow day. But Dean made it a pleasure to work with. Will be dropping off another ignition key tumbler on Monday. Thanks guys. read more

They are truly the best! Ral saved my life today! I called after locking myself out of an interior office door and with appointments within a few minutes, I paniced! BEST PLACE EVER. The people who work here are super friendly and I don't think I would go anywhere else for my key services. I went to Home Depot TWICE in a day to get a spare key made and both did not work. Not only did the people working here make a key that fit perfectly for me, but they also fixed the two other non functioning ones that I got from Home Depot! Five star service and reasonable pricing! :) read more

Came in to get 3 keys made and was out the door in record time. Friendly service and blazing fast. Would definitely recommend.

Great place! Had my Keyport blanks cut here with no issues. Like other reviewers, tired going to Lowe's first but was told that they could not cut the blanks I had, since I had not purchased the key through Lowe's, even the saleslady said their machines was not that accurate. Was recommended to come here to get my blanks cut and couldn't be happier, key's were cut quickly and accurately. read more
