Thankfully, I pursued my search and contacted Out Of a Jam. I've read their reviews, noted the authentic and upbeat tone of their customers, and, most importantly, how the company found the time to interact and respond to its clients. This winter, I'm currently pregnant, and I have four other children; therefore, tackling my heating issue for the comfort of my family took precedence over everything else this week. It was clear within seven minutes of meeting Jason that he was knowledgeable and skilled at his craft. He asked questions, was receptive to my responses, assessed the issue, and promptly began work. There is immense comfort in knowing your HVAC company can assuage your anxiety by communicating with you and making it quite clear that they are here to help, not sell you something you don't need. Jason was extremely personable and educated my husband and me on the coverage under our manufacturing warranty. He was quite meticulous in explaining what was working within our heating system and identifying the culprit behind the problem.  Professionalism and communication are the epitome of a successful business. Period. I appreciate Jason being punctual, respectful, and humorous. I know without a doubt that he is integral to the company's success. Out Of a Jam now has lasting customers, and my husband and I look forward to working with them when it's time to install our new cooling system. I could not recommend them enough.

Top notch ! Heat went out on a Friday and Jason was here in a few hours to check it out…read more He ran numerous test to determine the cause and determined that unfortunately the heater had died (13 years old or so) because of the heat exchanger. (Prior to Jason coming we had the people who originally installed the system come and check it out and they determined the same fault but we had the feeling we were being rushed into making a decision about replacing it) Everything was delivered on Monday morning by 8am and Brandon & Mat removed the old heater & AC and we had heat again by 3:30 pm. They did a fantastic job with no trace of the old system or work inside or outside the house being visible. Would not hesitate to call them in the future. Price-wise they were less than our first call.

It was nothing but God that sent me in my basement to see my boiler was flaming from underneath…read more Usually there's a glow but this was different the flames were coming outside of the boiler, the parts and chute was covered in soot. I immediately called the gas company and they came and shut off the gas line. It's the dead of the winter and now I have no heat. I didn't know where to begin. I checked the internet but nothing jumped out at me. I went on yelp and began reading reviews and I ran across Lawrence heating & air. I called spoke to a woman who was very pleasant and told me a tech could come out to assess the boiler to see if it was still usable. Joe came and he looked at it and said it it's a hazard. With all the rust and corrosion and not to mention whatever was on fire. He said it needed replacing. He talked to me about the options and stated I would get an email from the owner of my options. 30 mins later the email was there and everything was included. All the info I needed to know about the unit, specs, warranty, parts/tubing for replacement, price. It was a proposal. I reached out to Lawrence with my questions and he answered right away. I also stated my elderly dad lives with me and elderly need service as soon as possible. That was no problem. He sent me payment options as well. Once I accepted the proposal and date was locked in and they techs came the next day on time. Randy showed up first, then Joe & Chaly. They immediately put down floor draping and loaded all of the supplies , pipes , boiler, etc. They opened all the radiators starting at the top. All of them were pleasant and very Knowledgeable about their job. Any questions I asked Randy explained. They cleaned up behind themselves and made sure everything was put back in place. Once they were done Randy told me about my new unit and what was removed and put in. This company made the entire stressful event so much more easier, like a weight had been lifted. My house is warm and cozy thanks to everyone involved .. Great teamwork ! I would definitely recommend !!! Thank you so much to everyone that played a part in getting me back up in running !!

On the first very hot day this summer, our air conditioner stopped working. I called American Home…read moreShield (AHS), my warranty company, and they going assigned Quality HVAC. They came the next day and even though I'd told their office that our air conditioning unit was on the roof, which required walking up 2 flights of stairs & then using a ladder (which we supplied) to climb from our deck to the roof, their technicians were very unhappy. They never looked at the air conditioner but said the filters were dirty & needed to be replaced. We replaced the filters the next day & the unit still would not turn on. I called AHS & they re-assigned our case to American Team. They came out a few days later & Will, their very knowledgeable technician, instead of going up to the roof to check the A/C unit, went downstairs to the basement to check the furnace. We were puzzled. Neither my husband or I know anything about air conditioning or heating other than if cold or warm air flows out of the vents when the unit's turned on, it's working. No air flow, it's not working. Will very patiently explained that the furnace controls the flow of air for both the air conditioner & the house heater & that our furnace, not our air conditioner, needed to be replaced. Aha! Unfortunately, there was much confusion with the AHS ordering process & we had to tough out a month without central air. I was very fortunate to connect with AHS's Social Media Customer Service Representative, who was incredibly responsive. She stayed on the case & was in continuous contact with the owner of American Team, the warehouse & me until the furnace was delivered & the installation completed. American Team responded to my emails & calls religiously, sending 2 excellent techs to remove our old furnace, install the new unit & connect it to the ductwork. This was big job & American Team's Charles explained each step of the process, making sure everything was working correctly. They also installed a new thermostat to ensure compatibility. We're cool again & very thankful to have American Team assigned to our case.

Dangerous negligence--Technician destroyed my heating system during a snowstorm…read more American Home Shield dispatched "American Team" to replace one zone valve, but their technician miswired the component, causing a surge that burned out two zone valves and my aquastat. I am now left with no heat in the middle of a snowstorm due to their technical incompetence. The customer service response was even worse than the repair. They admitted no fault and told me it would take 5-10 business days to fix the damage they caused. When I requested to speak with a manager, I was promised a callback that never happened. They have shown a complete lack of urgency and zero regard for the safety of my home or family in freezing temperatures. Three weeks later called me to schedule for my follow up service. Avoid this company at all costs. They are unprofessional, technically unqualified, and will abandon you after damaging your property."
