The manufacturer wanted $7 for the pair plus $11 for shipping. Amazon had packs of 50 or 100 for $6-$13 with shipping included, but the earliest delivery was Monday. As a last-ditch effort, I checked the local big-box stores, but nothing looked promising. Then I remembered McFadden-Dale and decided to make the trip before they closed. They didn't have the exact 6-32 x 7/16", but they did have 6-32 x 1/2". The staff was incredibly helpful and took the time to check the thread pitch to make sure they'd work. Best of all, four screws cost me just $0.56 instead of nearly $20--and I didn't end up with another 40 or 90 extras I'd now have to find uses for. Their credit card system was down, so it was cash only. They also close at 2 PM on Saturdays and are closed on Sundays.

We had allen wrenches, but were missing the exact ones we needed for dismantling the bed. Fortunately, there was this Ace Hardware store just down the street, so I figured we could go in and see if there were any possible inexpensive solutions. An associate asked if I needed help (I unfortunately didn't catch the guy's name) and I mentioned the predicament, admittedly somewhat worried I'd have to buy a whole new allen wrench set just to get the one that I needed for the job. He took me to a place in the back of the store with old allen wrenches people had donated, often left over from similar bed/furniture dismantling/assembly jobs, and these were free. He gave me the option of taking a few and seeing if any of them worked. I did take about three of them, and fortunately, one of them got the job done! If I'm in the area and have any further hardware needs and the like, I'll definitely be coming around.

The garden center is nicely organized and is shockingly cool for the middle of summer. I was worried that I be dying trying to pick out some plants but it was actually quite a nice experience. The plants and all of the items that go with plants (like soil and pots, etc.) are well organized and seem to be in great health. I like that it's super organized and you can easily navigate the aisles. Pricing is pretty good too, there seems to always be some sort of sale so you can get quite a few items. The only issue I have is that there are no real registers anymore. It's all self checkout and we did end up having an issue (one plant didn't have a tag) and it kind of took forever to get the price. However, the lady helping us was super friendly and actually did help so I appreciated that. The other thing that annoyed me is that some plants are right outside of the garden center but there is no entrance there anymore so it's super inconvenient to even look at the items there.

Everything!…read more Our kitchen remodel through Lowe's Henderson Store #1033 has been the most frustrating home improvement experience we have ever had. We purchased a complete KraftMaid kitchen expecting quality products and professional project management. Instead, we have dealt with months of delays, missing cabinets, incorrect materials, damaged cabinets, and replacement cabinets that also arrived damaged after waiting two months. What has been most disappointing is the lack of accountability. Throughout this project, we received inconsistent information from different Lowe's representatives. We were repeatedly told someone was "working on it" and promised follow-up dates, but meaningful progress never followed. No one seemed empowered to take ownership of resolving the ongoing problems. We documented everything with emails, photographs, invoices, and correspondence with Lowe's Executive Customer Relations. While Amanda G. responded to our emails and remained courteous, the responses were largely status updates rather than solutions. We were eventually told that Lowe's would not provide a full refund, despite the repeated mistakes, damaged products, and months of delays. The impact on our family has been significant. We have lived without a functional kitchen for months. Our dining room became a temporary food preparation area, cabinets and construction materials took over our garage and multiple rooms of our home, and we have had to wash dishes outside because our kitchen remains unfinished. The repeated delays have also increased our contractor costs and created unnecessary stress. Mistakes can happen in any project. However, customers should not have to repeatedly follow up, accept damaged replacement products, receive conflicting information, and continue waiting month after month without a clear resolution. Lowe's is responsible for the products and suppliers it chooses to sell. If cabinet manufacturers such as KraftMaid fail to deliver quality products, Lowe's should hold them accountable instead of leaving customers to bear the consequences. After everything we have experienced, I cannot recommend purchasing kitchen cabinets through Lowe's Henderson Store #1033. We expected professionalism, quality, and accountability. Unfortunately, our experience reflected none of those.
