I expressed that I thought the condenser fan motor was bad, he didn't hesitate and explained it might be something like a capacitor, $800 for new fan, $225 for new capacitor. THE BEST HEATING & AIR SERVICE I HAVE HAD YET!!!! This is my second home in Frankfort & this is the 6th company I have used in the last 10 yrs. My husband & I will look no further & either should you! We always call a different company due to response time, service, price & actually quality of work. We would love to have consistent company to use but just never had anyone that great. My first home I was a young & single female, I had very little knowledge of the care & mechanics of a furnace or AC. So now looking back I know at times they kinda took advantage of that or were condescending toward me we I had issues &/or questions. My AC went out on Thursday evening, & Tim from Air Source was out at my house before noon Friday! I could tell immediately he was different than the previous service guys who I've dealt with before. He was easy to work with, patient & great prices. My husband & I can also really see that he takes a lot of pride in his work. He is not trying to just get in & out for the money, or at all pushy to make a sale. He explained things to me, spoke with my husband on the phone since he was at work, & gave us our options. Awesome HVAC company!!! Our A/C went out one day and I looked up HVAC companies to come out and diagnose. Called Air Source Jake, the due to their great reviews on Yelp. Jake, the technician came out the next day to diagnose the issue with our non-working A/C. Jake was pleasant, very thorough, and explained our a/c issue situation in detail. Unfortunately, our a/c was old and shot and had to be completely replaced, but Jake gave us a reasonable quote on a new A/C. However, because I just don't like to go with the first quote or resolution someone gives me, I had another HVAC company come out without mention of Air Source 1 coming out. This second agency diagnosed same issue and told me too that my a/c unit had to be replaced. The quote I was given was above Air One Source and the warranty for labor was about 4 years less than Air Source. So I decided to go with Air Source because of the professionalism, the accurate diagnosis, the most reasonable quote, and the awesome warranty. I Scheduled Air Source 1 to come out the following week. The job was done in under a couple of hours and now I have a better functioning A/C unit with a great warranty to keep me worry free for the next few years. read more

My AC went out a few weeks ago. First company I called said they knew what was wrong. Low on freon. I just wanted it to work for my elderly dog. Said company came out and loaded the freon and said there were no leaks. The next day, $600 dollar later, the AC was blowing warm air. Called them back and they pretty much said too bad. After much anger I started calling other companies for a diagnosis to see if the AC was leaking. The temperature outside was around 90 degrees and high humidity and every company I called was at least a week out to come over. I spoke to a guy I work with and he said hey, you gotta call Air Source 1. They saved him so much money and all that. I pulled the trigger and called. Tim said he'd be out whenever I needed. I was at work at the time so he came out the next day and said the outside unit and the evaporator coil needed to be replaced. Here's the hook, that same day before Tim came out another company were nearby that I'd called previously and they gave me the same diagnosis. This company was going to charge me alot of money for this. An hour later Tim showed up, looked at the unit, went in the crawl space and looked at the coil, came back outside and quoted me $1200 dollars less than the other guy. Plus the other guy said it couldn't be done without replacing the furnace!! Tim said that's not true. Folks, forever I would recommend Air Source 1 as your new and forever heating and cooling service. Not too many companies are honest like these guys anymore. read more

Called AirSource for a second opinion after being told by another company that the A/C compressor had failed and that I should just replace both the A/C and heating units at the same time. I called this company after I was told my AC and Furnance was in trouble and needed a new one for 16K. Tim came out and looked at the unit and laughed. He knew right away what they tried to tell me was wrong and how he tried to decieve me. He said that the unit is in great shape and should last many more years. He didn't even try and sell me a new unit, which is the reason I asked him to come out. When I pressed he said if I really wanted it he could do it for under 7K, but I really didn't need it. Awesome Customer Service and fast estimates for replacing a complete HVAC system that was 35 Years Old. My mom and dad live in Orland Park, IL and were pretty close to the Frankfort Service area. Contacted Tim and explained that my dads home AC and Furnace were failing and costing money recharging the AC compressor each year. Tim was able to meet my dad within 1/2 hour and provided a quote. My dad had a quote or two from several other companies but he felt that Tim provided a better and complete estimate than the other companies quotes. Tim said he could install both a new furnace and an AC 3 Ton compressor 36 hours after the quote. Tims team were out as promised and arrived at 7:45AM. Air Source 1 had purchased the new HVAC system and were ready to go. My parents house had just had the carpeting cleaned this year and so Air Source put runners from the front door, all the way to the basement. They installed and charged the system and tested the new furnace within 6 hours and installed a new thermostat. The whole team was totally professional and courteous. My dad, who is hard to satisfy, was totally impressed, and he told me that the whole house looked like no one had ever been there to do such a big job. Rating changed to 5 stars since Tim offered to send a check for 3% surcharge. While I will not accept the check, I do appreciate the offer. Another example of the excellent service received by Air Source 1!! I have always received excellent service from Air Source 1 regarding my central air conditioning unit. I guess I have always paid cash - the cost was always under $200. So, naturally, I requested a quote when I needed a new hot water tank. While the $975 cost wasn't the cheapest, I gave more weight to the excellent service I had received in the past. Even though I asked which credit cards were accepted, Tim never mentioned there would be a 3% surcharge. As a matter of fact, I wasn't told about the 3% surcharge until I went to pay for the water tank AFTER the installation was completed. It would have been helpful to know this in advance so I could have compared prices on a more realistic basis. Since I generally do not pay for anything over $300 without the protection offered by credit cards, I will definitely ask ALL merchants if there is a credit card surcharge BEFORE I agree to the purchase in the future. read more

Tim and his team are fantastic!!! I called them because my new furnace installed in 2017 kept shutting off. I thought it was my old thermostat. Tim went through extensive measures troubleshooting to find the cause of the problem and promised me that he and his team would resolve the issue -- no matter how long it would take. Air Source 1 discovered a plethora of problems. For one, the furnace is too large for my home which causes the furnace to overheat Hi and shut down. Tim also discovered a CO 2 leak in my home due to faulty ductwork that the individual who installed the furnace should have checked. These guys are so dedicated to their customers. They corrected as many issues as they could -- especially since they did not install the furnace. Tim even gave me a price on a new Rheem furnace -- which I thought was very reasonable. They corrected all the duct work issues and made sure everything was properly sealed, installed new gas valves, installed a new filter tray and a new thermostat. Tim recommended that I keep the furnace at no higher than 73 degrees or the furnace could shut down. Furnace is still running okay since they left my home on 2/5/18. I would definitely trust this company to install a new furnace in my home. Thanks guys!! read more

Last August, during a very hot and humid spell, Air Source 1 came out same day and fixed our very old and decrepit AC unit...we Yelp'd our satisfaction. We were told upfront that we would need to replace the unit in the near future, but this repair should get us thru the rest of the summer - and it did. Just this past July our AC gave out completely. We were very happy with Air Source 1 in the past so we called them and they came out quickly and provided a quote. FYI, we did our due diligence and shopped around, read reviews about other companies; and were very happy to sign a contract with Air Source 1. I wondered why all the 5 star reviews for this company. I had them (Tim) come out, and now I know. This company is all about honesty and integrity. My air stopped working - not blowing out of the vents. I changed the filter, which wasn't that bad as I am religious about changing it. I checked and re-set thermostat, turned unit off for 1 hour, then back on, still nothing. Tim came out the next day, and of course, it started working a few hours before he arrived. Even though it started working again, I wanted it checked anyway. Tim checked everything and found no malfunction. He did indicate it could be a hiccup with the circuit board. Told me to keep an eye on it and if it malfunctions again, check for an error and text him and let him know what it is. All I was charged was the service call fee. What is so unique about this is that I know that most HVAC service suppliers would have told me I needed a new circuit board, to the tune of a few hundred dollars and been on their way, and I would never had know the better. Furnace went out Sunday morning, prior to record cold temperatures being forecasted. We first called a very popular competitor who responded the same day and informed us that our heat exchanger was cracked and we would need a new furnace. They originally quoted nearly $5000.00 and then lowered their quote to 3700.00 and they offered installation within 48 hrs. We checked around and a friend recommended Air Source 1. We called them late Sunday afternoon and the response was immediate. I sent a photo of the quote I received to them and got a quote back on a comparable name brand furnace with the exact same warranty and efficiency rating for nearly 1000.00 less than the other guys. We made arrangements to replace the furnace that evening. They worked the install around my work schedule and arrived exactly when they said they would. They were polite, professional, and needless to say it was a tight work area. They were efficient, and cleaned the work area when they were finished. They stayed to make certain everything was operating as it should before leaving... all within 2 1/2 - 3 hours. I will never consider anyone else for my Furnace and HVAC needs. I just recently had a problem with our AC and thought that it had finally gone out. It was working fine until about mid afternoon and then stopped blowing cold air. After some research and checking out the reviews online I sent a message over to Air Source 1. I received a quick response from Tim with some questions about what I had noticed, and to set up a time to check out the system the next morning. Before coming out Tim sent a confirmation letting me know when he was on his way and when he would be arriving. After talking to him he opened up the unit and took a look inside. It wasn't long after checking a few things that he was able to find the problem. A rag stuck in the blower motor which must have been left during a previous cleaning. Go figure. After making sure that the motor wasn't damaged he checked the freon levels and made sure the outside unit was cleaned. Tim was responsive and thorough making sure I knew what could have happened if I had left the system running, and what to lookout for in the future.
