Review for Air Pro and Robert Monroe. Our generator is 3 years old and the warranty is 5 years. When we bought it we did not sign up for any maintenance program, however Air Pro has been doing the maintenance it in past years. During the storm on July 9, the generator stop working after one day of operation. The technician form Air Pro came by and said that there was a problem with the gaskets and that it was not covered by the GENERAC warranty. The generator was working when he left but was not connecting to the transfer switch. The next Monday the generator failed the exercise and splashed all the oil that the technician added in just 5 minutes After a month we are still waiting the estimate from Air pro to fix that. I reviewed the warranty document and it says the gaskets are under warranty. Air Pro is just neglecting us because we did not sign up for their maintenance deal. I know now that they are not in their list of authorize dealers but they are in the obligation to help us fix the liking oil problem with GENERAC. Obviously now after a month with all the GENERAC generators failing in Texas, we are not being helped by any other shop. It is very suspicious that Air Pro provide receipts in the name of Robert Monroe but not under Air Pro name. Do not use them, buy and use a GENERAC authorize dealer, or buy another brand of generators with authorize dealers. We also saw that the reviews for the AC repairs done by AirPro suck, so STAY AWAY FROM THEM. We are thinking of reporting this to the TV news in English and Spanish so people will know. AirPro installed a new water heater less than a year ago. I called them to service the unit because it is not working. After telling me that they don't service water heaters, I reminded them that they installed it, they said they would.......for a $199 fee. Not sure why the parts and labor warrenty wouldn't apply. So I called Nick's plumbing. They will be here in an hour for $49. Moral of the story, do not buy anything from Airpro, and call Nick's for service. read more

My husband found a part to the AC in the yard that technician had failed to put back on the outside unit. My mom purchased a new home and was told by the company she purchased the home from that Airpro was contracted to come install her AC unit. Airpro came out the first day to install and after several hours stated there was a bad part on the Acoil unit and they had it at the shop but needed to get to another job and would be back the following Thrusday or Friday. The next day Thrusday they came back out with the part. After several more hours the tech stated his boss would be coming out with another new unit but he had to go to another job and would be back to finish the install. His boss never made it out and the tech never came back to complete the install. If you have a choice do business with a company that has the required skill set and keeps their word and delivers on promises. From personal experience AirPro is a huge fail and I recommend seeking another company to work with. read more

He checked all of my units and changed all of my filters. He has great customer service skills and he is many years of experience in the A/C industry. After a nightmare experience with One Hour AC, I decided in March 2018 to try AirPro for a malfunctioning outdoor unit that was about 12 years old. For reference, I called in two other companies for the quote. One Hour was outrageously deceitful, the other one was more aligned with AirPro in terms of price. But what convinced me to go with AirPro was the efficiency and transparency with which they conducted themselves from the quoting process to the installation, and beyond. AirPro quoted me a 4 ton outside unit American Standard for a much more reasonable price than the competition. Not only that, but during the quoting process, the technician provided me with OPTIONS, whether I want to fix the old unit or replace it. He provided me with pros and cons for both options as well as prices, and he described the work for each in an understandable manner and never sounded pushy or aggressive to try to upsell me on parts or service. When the installation crew arrived, they were efficient, on time, friendly, asked questions, offered again options (for instance, the base of my old unit is concrete, which is much better than the mesh bases they use nowadays, so they consulted me with that option and I was able to make a decision without unpleasant surprises). The work was done smoothly, on time, and I was provided with an outdoor unit of a reliable brand at a reasonable price. I also communicated with my contact at AirPro before the installation to make sure the crew knew what to expect and what the job entailed exactly. On a side note, a week or so after the work was done, I received a Thank you gift from AirPro that included two mugs and cupcakes. Very rare exhibition of customer appreciation nowadays, which combined with the high quality of their work and efficiency, leave to doubt as to where I will take my business on my next AC needs. read more

After calling repeatedly to get pricing on a replacement piece of equipment I only get a different run around every time I call - always a promise of a call back then nothing. We came home from vacation to find out our upstairs unit had decided it was done. I called Air Pro and they had someone out early the next morning to diagnose what we had thought had happened. Bobby Monroe owner of Air Pro had guys out the next morning to install our new upstairs unit and they were fantastic! They arrived on time and had it all done by that evening. Don't trust this air conditioner to treat you with an honest price with parts that your air conditioner or heater may need. This company which my 87 year old mother has trusted for at 10 years, came to her house to replace a circuit board ( Honeywell st912ou1011 ). They were decent enough to charge her $500 for a part that cost $109.95 on line. She lives alone on a fixed income. I understand they have to make a profit but that's almost 400%. They didn't give her an estimate prior to doing doing the work, nor did they leave her a receipt. We now are looking for a new company that will treat her fairly and not gouge her. My experience with Air Pro has been like dating a person you don't really like but find a (not so good in retrospect) reason to continue with them until they dump you. I chose Air Pro to service my AC because my neighborhood service directory recommended them. In retrospect, I should have ended the association when the technician assigned to service my AC unit in April was abrupt and condescending (maybe rude), and made me feel anxious and defensive in my own home. Instead, after he determined that my evaporator coil needed replacing, I entered into a one year service plan for a price discount on future work. Air Pro sent out 6 men to my home to replace my evaporator coil. Someone at the office (maybe the owner, I don't know) warned me that there would be about 4 men coming out to help speed up the process. I was uncomfortable with 4, let alone 6; I live alone and am always cautious when I have service men come through my home. In any case, I don't know how much having 6 men there sped up the process; it took about 3 hours. Plus they damaged a portion of my ceiling carrying the equipment up and downstairs. When I pointed this out, the lead technician on the job shrugged and offered to call the office. At that point, $2,834 later and after several hours of feeling like I had to be on guard, I just wanted them to be gone. Less than 2 weeks later, my AC was not cooling. Given Air Pro had just replaced the evaporator coil and I had the warranty, I called them out for this also. They sent out the abrupt, condescending technician who over-explained why the issue with my compressor motor was not something he could have caught during his service visit earlier in the month, but that he would do me the favor of not charging me for the service call. After that -- or maybe after the previous job -- I really should have just ended my association with Air Pro, but the warranty . . . ugh! Last week I returned home to find my AC was not cooling again. I called Air Pro around 7:30 p.m., and their answering service took a message and said a technician would call me back. One hour later, having not heard from anyone, I called back. This time a technician called me back within 10 minutes to tell me he was in Katy and would not be coming to my home. I was super-pissed; that was information I should have received shortly after my first call so I could have called another company. Sitting in an 88 degree home for several hours with a panting dog did nothing for my mood, and I said I would report them to the BBB. Of course, the next day, when a (literally) cooler head prevailed, I knew that was a silly threat; Air Pro did nothing reportable other than not treat me like a valued customer. Anyway, the conclusion: around 7:30 a.m. the next morning, after waiting out the night without a working AC, someone with Air Pro called to see how I fared and asked if I wanted them to send out a technician that day. I explained to them that I had already paid $79 to another company who had been out the night before and was going to send out another technician to properly diagnose the problem that morning. As is reasonable, I didn't want to pay Air Pro another fee to come out. Two hours later, after the problem was diagnosed, I called back Air Pro to see whether they were still amenable to send someone out to take a look at and work on the issue. The same guy who called me picked up the phone and, at first, behaved as if he didn't remember calling me. Then he said the calendar was now booked for the entire day (this happened within 2 hours), so I should just use the company I had paid to diagnose the problem. He framed it as if he was doing me a favor, but it sounded like a kiss-off. Finally, I got the hint; Air Pro is just not that into having me as a customer, warranty or not. read more

Thieves and Rip-Off Artists! Last fall I had my A/C unit replaced... they sent a punk (Paul Pourgault) who spent 2 days up in my attic doing anything other than the job he was there for. His supervisor had to be called in to fix basic stuff he neglected. It turned out he spent the time fishing deeply through the insulation until he found a tiny box buried well away from any traffic... he stole about $16,000 in gold and silver bullion. I didn't discover the theft until this March when the new unit they had installed last fall froze over once again and they send some guy that insisted that I needed a whole house re-do ($14,000!!!). I got competitive quotes and got the problem handled for $825. I had to go up there to clear my clutter out of the way... which is when I discovered that every box had been cut open and stolen from. Their general manager, Barry Granger, refuses to either send his employee for a polygraph, or to take responsibility for the theft. His company's insurance should be covering my loss. This means that this theft is part of their culture. Yes, I filed a report with the sheriff's department. Yes, I am considering a lawsuit. Keep these guys out of your house! read more

Was told by my "usual" A/C repair company that I needed a new system so I called Air Pro as one of the companies to give me a second opinion - boy am I glad I did! The Air Pro technician (Burnett) asked what the basis of the dire diagnosis was and then began his own investigation. He said things just weren't adding up to him and he was right. Turned out all I needed was a new blower motor capacitor (the thing was completely dead). Needless to say I was ecstatic to pay the $265 repair bill rather than a $7,000 new system bill. Air Pro just got themselves a new customer. P.S. The technician also took time to tell me about all the standard processes the owner has put in place to ensure that the service level is the same between all of their technicians - and talked about the extensive training they go to each year to ensure they know how best to install and maintain the American Standard products they sell. read more

We used Airpro 3 yrs ago when we were building our home, Bob was very knowledgeable and put in a wonderful system for our new home. We were very pleased with his customer service and how everything went during installation. Monday we noticed our A/C was not cooling like it should be and he sent a tech out to see what was going on (very fast service by the way) and he told us it would take a reasonable amount of money to repair the copper pipe that had a leak , we told him we would have to wait so when my husband came home he was looking at the system and realized the dryer was touching the panel causing the two copper lines to rub together causing Freon leak and of course we immediately thought that was a manufacturer defect so we called and talked to American Standard about this and they said they would have to have airpro confirm this, Anyway long story short Bob, Dave and James did what it took to have a very, very satisfied customer, they stood behind the product they sell and well just did good business and in my book that is hard to find anywhere now. So I am writing this review to let everyone know that this company is really good. So Thank You Bob, Dave and James and the receptionist that kept there professionalism with all the calls.
