Complete install of heat/air done and had problems from the get go. I have had other hvac technicians look at the install and they said , it wasn't a good install. The most recent technician said it should have never passed an inspection. Lots of things done haphazardly. Be careful they don't install an older furnace or AC unit like they did to me. One was 2 years older than the other and parts may not be easy to find due to changing regulations. Dont get me wrong. The tech's are nice and they do good work. But this company cares nothing about your furniture and things of that nature. They came in no shoe covers and standing on my area rug. Which is hard to clean. With their shoes on. Then they get started and need access to my roof to put in a wall heater. I had no idea they had to use the roof I wasn't told about this. Im Pregnant and my access is in my closet. So I couldn't move everything by myself. So all the stuff from the attic covered my clothes and other items. There was dust over EVERYTHING! From them Needed access to the attic they left my bedroom door open. Allllll the dust was covering everything! Including my newborn babies clothing. My couches. My sewing materials. My entire house was covered and they didnt lay covers on anything. Walked on my carpet with no show covers. I was told by one of the techs they would reach out about getting my carpet cleaned since I had just got it done. I haven't received a call. And to top it all off the smoke detectors started going off from all the dust. As a professional you would think that people think about the stuff before just doing the work. Now I have to make sure my newborns clothes are safe for him to wear and STILL cleaning up dust from a week ago. Nice company, does great work but leaves a big mess at the end. If you use them I suggest you find a way to protect your things because the People who book it will not give you any type of prep work! And it doesnt matter what type of walls I have . The company should have coverings or alert customers of what they need to protect themselves . And dont lie to your customers saying you'll clean something and then dont do it! read more

Our elderly grandmother lives alone in Vacaville in a house running an air conditioning system that hasn't been replaced in 30+ years. Each of the past few years it has needed some TLC including adding freon to keep it operational and the temperature comfortable inside the house during the sweltering triple digit heat waves that come through that town. When the AC system stopped providing cool temps in the house this season, we called Air Essentials again to help us out. Anthony came out with all of the professionalism, respect, and attentiveness that others have noted here on Yelp. Grandma is a tough one to please but he won her over quickly with his incredible customer service, not so common with many business these days! The bad news was the system couldn't continue to take freon and had failing parts that were no longer available. Long story short, a whole new system was needed, including a furnace due to the incompatibility with the new modern day AC unit. Anthony provided all the details and reassurance to Grandma that while this was going to be much more expensive than the "tune up" she had hoped for, this was best move in the long run for the reliability and safety she needed to stay in her house during the hot summer months. Anthony explained all the details of the replacement process, assuring her the least amount of inconvenience and disruption to her house, garage, and plans. The schedule was set and Anthony and his partner showed up yesterday with everything they needed. Anthony provide an estimated time of completion upon arrival and hit his mark like a pro- a very important benchmark for grandma! "Oh he was SO polite and finished right on time just as he said he would!," she explained. His obvious experience and efficiency shined yesterday and now Grandma is sitting happily in her cool, comfortable home with a whole new system! I cannot be more pleased with the quality of work and customer service that Anthony provides. He is an incredible asset to his company as well as a major assistance to me in keeping Grandma and her house both taken care of, as well as keeping pleased with a few workers she allows in the house! My Siberian Husky puppy chewed through the cable outside that powered the AC unit. Someone removed that portion of cable but it still didn't work, so I figured a fuse blew when the exposed wires touched. I wasn't climbing my butt up into the attic so I called a little after 9pm and they said they were coming in a day and a half. The guy was very friendly and professional and eager to get us taken care of. I got a call confirming when the tech was on their way. They were there closer to the bottom number of the window given. I was at a dr appt but my sister said the Rep/Tech was professional and handled the issue quickly. I spoke to him on the phone to confirm what he was going to do. I believe his name was Andrew. My thermostat was replaced and he advised me that I'll need to replace my unit in the next few years. So he could have charged me to service it for hundreds but instead he said I could wait it out. My duct work had slipped apart, and in 2 upstairs bathrooms, the heat/ac vents weren't working. I called Air Essentials to give me an estimate of what it would cost me to repair the missing duct work. My husband had used Air Essentials in the past and really liked how Anthony took care of business. My husband died a couple years ago, and Air Essentials has helped me out more than once when I've needed help at my home, or my rentals. It's refreshing how honest they are! So many take advantage of women in these types of situations. Andrew came out Tuesday to give me a free estimate for the ductwork. He spent time putting a camera down the vents and located the missing two feet of ductwork. He then informed me it would be a lot cheaper for me if I had the sheet rock guy or a handyman fix it. My sheet rock guy fixed the ducting very quickly, patched the sheet rock and was most fair in his pricing, $300 for everything. Air Essentials spent time helping me, and never charged me a penny. I had a 40-year-old heater that started making some weird noises I requested quotes to yelp in air essentials was one of the first to respond. They came out the following day took a look at my heater and told me that I could probably make the repair on my own and save a ton of money. Andrew walked me through a couple of steps on how to inspect the heater and what to look for in order to make the quick repair. When I offered to pay the service fee, he told me not to worry about it because he didn't do any work. I was extremely impressed with the responsiveness, the knowledge, and the fact that they were willing to make recommendations and not just try and make a buck off of me. After a very loud and aggressive alarm blaring in our ears, we located the issue and he kindly clipped the wired for me. We have lived in this house for 18 years and never heard that sound before. And while he couldnt fix my problem, as it requires an electrician, I am so impressed with how helpful, nice and good natured this guy was. My AC went out on the hottest day (6-4-19) so far this year! I called AARP/Homeserve at midnite and they said that their chosen company would call me by 12 noon and set-up an appointment. Seldom do I post reviews. The company has to be someone who provided me a service that was "Out of this World", or one that "Ripped me Off". In this case, Air Essentials is "Out Of This World" Fantastic ... My experience began about 10 years ago with Anthony (Owner) personally coming out to install a double wall gas heater (rather than send one of his techs). Anthony provided a fair price, was cordial, on time, always answering or returning my vm calls, installation seamless and left the area pick up and cleaner than when he arrived :-). He honored Warranty two years later when thermostat went on blitz and came out to replace without hesitation/delay. About a year ago the pilot lite wouldn't ignite. I was going to be a smart guy and research YouTube for answer/repair. It was a simple problem that was replacing the Thermocouple. I ordered the part, unscrewed the wires and replaced with new. Whola! Nope, It still wouldn't lite. Called Air Essentials again, explained to Anthony what I had done. We made an appointment for Andrew to come out and he said Andrew can fix anything. Within 3 minutes (seriously, less than 3 minutes) Andrew identified that the two Thermocouple wires I screwed back on ... I screwed them to the wrong terminals...LOL...so much for my YouTube skills. Well, Andrew fixed it in minutes. I felt so guilty I felt compelled to give him more work. I had just installed a mini split a/c unit in house and cottage about six months prior. So I asked him if he would perform the annual a/c preventative maintenance on both. Andrew took an outside look, and with a chuckle said, they're in perfect condition. He encouraged me to call them back this summer. June had come around and remembering my positive experience with Air Essentials Anthony/Andrew, I called to schedule the a/c preventative maintenance and spoke with Amber whose smile you could see through the phone. I requested the service and specifically asked for Andrew. Amber was accommodating and flexible in coordinating and worked with "my" schedule. In the mean time PGE showed up when I wasn't home, painting and calibrating the gas meters, they discovered a gas leak, turned off gas to main house and left a Repair Summary Notice. So called Amber right away to see if Andrew could come out for gas leak. We scheduled for that up coming Monday, Andrew would could out for both gas leak and a/c maintenance. Andrew again showed up on time, same courteous smile and temperament. He tried to located the gas leak without luck, leaving us to determine the gas leak was coming from pipe under house. Air Essentials License does not provide that they are able to perform under housework and Andrew encouraged me to contact a Contractor Plumber. As for a/c maintenance, well guess what? Andrew was ready to work, looked at the exterior units and said they both still in great shape. Rather than take my money for an annual service that wasn't needed, he said on these type of mini split a/c units, the best thing to do is keep them clean of leaves and debris away from them. Should they stop providing cold air, then that's the time to call so he can add refrigerant. It is hard to find a dependable service oriented professional who is honest, fair and delivers above board quality product without gouging/ripping you off.
