Turned on our AC one evening and afterward it started making crazy noises. I called this company the next day and they got me an appointment a day later. Gary was our technician and despite having to come later than the time window of my appointment (due to a prior job that ended up taking longer) they kept me informed of his arrival and Gary did a very thorough job. He was very nice, informative and helpful throughout the entire process, explaining to us what he was doing step by step. I am sure he worked much later than he expected when he serviced our system and even had to deal with our nosey dog (which he was so good with). I said i wouldnt do this, but the snow is low on the hill and im freezing in my house, just a little mad. I had ACE replace my AC and furnace. Bill moved the AC from a closet into the attic which we really like because its a small house. He made no changes to the existing ducting, and didnt properly dampen the new ducting leading to the two upstairs bedrooms. All of the up stairs vents blast like crazy. But, the main duct main duct in the livingroom is another story theres a 15 degree difference between the upstairs and the down. I brought this to his attention 3 times since hes installed the unit and he always leaves with a quote to have it fixed. Theres no way i will pay for an incomplete job. Its unfortunate that he isnt willing to take care of it. I didnt want to write this because i like Bill. Most of the work was great, but i didnt pay money like that for a seriously unbalanced system. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! I went through a home owners warranty last year and had a BRAND NEW LENNOX AC placed July 20th of 2020. Last week it completely STOPPED WORKING. I contacted ACE regarding THEIR FAULTY PRODUCT and was instructed to contact the homeowners warranty... after calling them I was then instructed by my homeowners warranty to assess the products 5 year warranty first through ACE... after going in circles for days The "OFFICE MANAGER" who is obviously fed up with her job refuses to touch a product they installed if the home warranty doesn't give the "okay" even if the homeowners are willing to CASH PAY. I called two other local companies that work with the same home warranty company and they said they would absolutely COME OUT, diagnose and assess their product they installed regardless of wether the home warranty says yes or no because it is COVERED BY THE MANUFACTURER so long as the owner pays the fee!!!! I have said repeatedly that i Am willing to pay cash to get all the work done! She is apparently become lazy and needs to retire. We have happily taken our business and money elsewhere and highly recommend several different local facilities as they are far more professional. At the end of the day Money is money regardless of how you receive it Linda, or whatever your name is.... you should back your products and services and if not just get out of business. I highly suggest they remove the dinosaur from being office manager to ensure happy customers or simply educate her on how to look up a manufacturers warranty on the products they install. The warranty doesn't run your business Linda, you do. Even lennox said it would be covered by the person who installed it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS COMPANY! I should have called these folks first, whom we know personally, but thought Bill might not want to bother with our little issue. Our swamp cooler was making a loud regular thumping sound. I used to service one of these simple machines for my family in the '60s, but can't navigate a ladder anymore. I called another company who charged a service call to tell me they would replace my cooler for $1500. Not convinced, we called Air Controlled Environments. The tech came right out, realized the belt was loose causing the noise, but old. They replaced the belt and gave a seasonal inspection and tune-up for not much more than the other guys' useless fee. Our a/c broke, back in August when the weather was almost 100 degrees some days in socal. My baby was about 8 months old back then and we tried contacting several different a/c technicians in IE area. All the technicians who came and took a look at our building said their ladder was not long enough to reach the roof and they said they'll check and get back to us. They never did. They all said there was nothing they can do to fix the problem. They only checked for 2-3 minutes and all left. After spending miserable 2-3 months w/o A/C, we finally came across Air Controlled Environments and Aaron was the technician who came. Unlike all the other technicians, Aaron actually took time to look around the house and tried to figure out what the problem was. We found out that the condo that we are renting was horribly designed and it was almost impossible to get to the roof and needed to contact the HOA. Aaron went out of his way to help us and contacted our agent to inform him about the situation. He was even sympathetic when he saw that we had an infant in the crazy heat and he said he will do whatever he can to help. Aaron also gave us some tips about a/c maintenance and he was just so helpful. We couldn't use Air Controlled Environments to fix our a/c because of our home warranty, but I was just so impressed and appreciative of Aaron's excellent customer service. Usually, when you have a home warranty, they send you out the worse of the worse vendors. One or Two-star type of companies. But I'm over the moon that ACE sent Gary to our rescue! The first company the home warranty company sent came then left claiming he didn't have a tall enough ladder to go up to the condenser on the roof (this is a 2 story townhouse). Our problem was the HVAC on the second story was dripping and causing damage to the drywall down on the first floor. He didn't even go in to look at the HVAC. Apparently, we needed an HVAC company with at least 24-foot ladder. After many tries, the home warranty company found ACE and thank goodness they did! Not only did Gary find an easy fix ($34 part) for the problem, he told us how to prevent this from happening again. Then he went on the roof and checked out the condenser (interesting enough he didn't use/need the tall ladder). He climbed back down to explain that everything looked good but due to the recent ash, he can hose the condenser off for me if we have a hose. Now that's going above and beyond!! I manage a lot of properties and I will definitely be calling ACE the next time I have an HVAC issue!! Thank you Gary! read more

After being told the repair would cost me me over $1,000.00 by another company I asked a friend for a referral.
