Unbelievable Price Gouging -- $24,185 Quote via Text Message…read moreStay far away from Attar Heating and Cooling unless you want to be completely taken advantage of. I asked for a quote on standard equipment in wide-open framing with zero drywall obstructions: an 80% 70k BTU Goodman furnace, a 2-ton Goodman AC unit, 8 supply runs, a central return, and a thermostat. Instead of a professional proposal, Attar texted me an informal quote for $24,185.00. Wholesale equipment and materials for this basic setup cost around $4,000. Attar tried to charge over $19,000 in pure labor and markup for roughly a day of open-framing work. By comparison, another well-reputable local company quoted $8,500 for the exact same job--a fair, honest price. Attar attempted to pocket an extra $15,600+ for zero reason. I have the saved text message proof of this quote to back every word up. Avoid Attar and hire a contractor who doesn't engage in predatory pricing.
