I was thoroughly pleased with my experience with Air Concepts, after my AC went out during the heat wave last week. Another company (hint: rhymes with ruse) quoted $3,000+ for a bunch of upsell work to my wife. Francisco came over, spent about one hour and completed two modest repairs for 15% of the cost quoted to me by the other guys. He took the time to provide an overview of what had happened, what he was going to do, and explained why he was confident his recommendation was going to address the issue. Sure enough the cool air was flowing one hour after he showed up at the door. Additionally, the scheduling and payment process was managed smoothly by Charlie. I've been fortunate to not require any HVAC repair services until now, but in the future, I will call Air Concepts first. You should to. I'm now in my late sixties and I've lived in five houses over the decades. Unavoidably, I've had to call for help on heating and A/C problems. We had a very bad previous company, Atlas Trillo come and check our White & Rogers heating system and they quoted us $2,000 for a blow motor part alone. We called Air Concepts, upon recommendation, and what a breath of fresh air (no pun intended)! Anthony came out and braved our old basement and discovered that the unit had been shut off!! The previous company was so unprofessional, did not call us back after the $99 visit and tried to charge us to come back out and take us for the $2,000 part and the attendant labor that would be an extra charge. Anthony said that the system could go out again, but he got it up and running. Anthony showed the professionalism, earnestness, and honesty that Atlas did not. I can not say enough good things about Anthony, he was the very height of what one would expect in terms of knowledge and professionalism. I was promised 6 different estimates ranging from simple damper installation to the complete replacement of the HVAC system but received only 2 numbered #4 and #5 (confusing). I don't know what has burned me more, the recent heat wave or the unprofessional performance of Air Concepts Inc. Please note, I rarely write reviews, and only through the motivation of unusually stellar customer service experience or a profound breakdown the likes of a gnawing thorn that has progressively worsened has gotten me off my butt to write a review. If anything, just for the therapeutic experience of effectively yelling into the wind in the hopes that something might happen. This is me yelling into that wind and hope to share with as many people about my personal experience. -Air Concepts was contacted with an appointment set for 06/16 (day 0). The HVAC technician (Francisco) was friendly and informative. It appeared the problem was diagnosed quickly with the outcome being a blown motor. He informed me that it would take a few days to research for a viable motor and will place the order ASAP. He did state it would take about 2-3 weeks at the latest to have it delivered. Great, that seemed reasonable. -Called a week later and Amber informed me that the part has been ordered. -Appointment schedule for 7/09 (Day 23). Again, this seemed very reasonable as Francisco set expectations early on. -On 7/08 evening, Amber informed me that the part did not come in and would need to reschedule once the part comes so we don't have this situation occur again. She informed me that it would take another two weeks. I was slightly perturbed, but I get it. I figured global supply chain issues rearing its ugly head. - For the next two weeks I don't hear anything from Air Concepts. I figure I would check in to see where we are. Amber informed me that she would look into it and get back to me in 15 mins. No call back. - I call again another two weeks and received similar response that she would look into it and get back to me. No call back. -It is now 09/01 (Day 77), and I'm now pissed. I call Air Concepts again (9:37am), and spoke to Amber and I informed her that this has been an excessively long time and I need an updated ETA. She was pleasant (as usual) and said she would get back to me in 15 mins. You guessed it, no call. By 1:23 PM, I figured that had to be enough time. So, I called again. I spoke to Whitney (again pleasant and empathetic). She informed me that Amber left a note on my file that it would take ANOTHER TWO WEEKS for the part to be delivered. I was shocked - I let Whitney know that it this has been completely unprofessional and asked her if I should just go with another HVAC company? I asked her what would she do? She was agreeable and acknowledged my perspective and that Amber was going to call me back in 15 mins. To my surprise, Amber did call back and let me know that she arm wrestled the distributor and managed to have the shipment expedited and that it would be here no later than 09/06. She scheduled an appointment for Daniel to come onsite 09/07. -So given my experience with this company, my Spidey senses told me to call Air Concepts to double check that the part is in, and that Daniel will be here. Amber and I kind of both chuckle as we both acknowledge the absurdity of the situation. We ended the call on a light note with the reassurance that all is right. - 09/07 the big day (Day 83)! It almost felt a little like Christmas between the three heat waves and family complaining of the heat, that we would finally put this past us. Uh oh, I received call from Amber at 8:39am [Brief anecdote- the night before my wife and I joked what if I got a call that they would be canceling? We laughed, but I think it was more of a coping mechanism that we both knew in the back of our minds that something might happen]. Back to the dreaded call, Amber called and right off the bat she reassured me that this was not a cancellation call, but a request if they could move up the appointment time given that today was hot [Ha! The irony]. I said sure, and quickly arranged my schedule. And lo behold, as if I had felt the scorn and wrath of the HVAC gods, I receive a call from Daniel (9:16AM) informing me that he is at the warehouse and the part is not there....and for a moment, a very brief moment, I laughed before an overwhelming rage compelled me to write an excessively long review to quelch the burning frustration of having myself be both absolutely disappointed and also angry at myself that I expected anything else. -Obviously I call back (9:33am), and my dear friend Amber picked up the call. The moment she heard my voice, I knew that she knew, and she knew that I knew. Nothing explosive, as it was clear to me this is not an individual issue but clearly overarching organizational breakdown. I asked that I need to speak to the manager to share my experience. She informed me that Charles (Owner) is busy right now but will call right away! Am I holding my breath? No, for I would be dead over an hour and half ago. Why expect that Charles is even aware of my situation, as that would imply a level of organization. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Air Concepts and Francisco. I have been dealing with a heater that has been blowing cold air, during this very cold spell for almost a month. First company blatantly lied and said I had a leak in the pipes, but still put Freon in and was told it would be a 3-4 hour "repair" at 350/hr. Something just didn't sit right and I called another company. Being a busy time with this cold weather, they were booked out 3-4 weeks. In desperation, I booked the appointment. 2 space heaters and constant blown fuses later, I was referred to Air Concepts by a friend. I called them on Wed, and Francisco was at my house Thurs afternoon. Within minutes I knew he was legit and knew what he was doing. He confirmed no leak at all, but a bad install job with wear and tear because of it. I was instantly put at ease with his troubleshooting and diagnosis. We are now waiting for parts, but he assured me I was a priority and as soon as the parts are in he will be here same day.
