After running their…read morediagnostics, they told us we needed to replace our entire system--including the air handler, condenser, and even add another air return. To make matters worse, they said they couldn't turn the system back on and that we might have to wait until Monday for a full system replacement. This all happened on the Wednesday before the Fourth of July, with temperatures well into the triple digits. We have five kids and two dogs, and the thought of going several days without air conditioning was overwhelming. Thankfully, we decided to get a second opinion and called Airtime Cooling & Heating. Jacob came out, started his own evaluation without us telling him what the first company had diagnosed, and quickly impressed us. He simply turned the system back on, ran his own diagnostics, and gave us his honest opinion. His conclusion was completely different--our system did not need to be replaced. Not only did he get our AC running again, but he also took the time to explain what he believed had happened, what to watch for if it occurred again, and even walked us through how to troubleshoot it ourselves. That kind of honesty, education, and customer service is incredibly rare. Instead of facing what could have been a very expensive and unnecessary replacement, we paid for a diagnostic visit, got our AC back, and gained confidence in our system. Because of this experience, we've switched from our previous HVAC company to Airtime Cooling & Heating for all of our future maintenance and service. If Jacob is any indication of the quality of their technicians, they have earned a customer for life. Jacob was truly a 10 out of 10. He saved us from an unnecessary replacement, restored our AC when we needed it most, and treated us with honesty and respect. I can't recommend Airtime Cooling & Heating highly enough.

Knowing that the hours on the website said they closed at 7pm, chances of someone coming out that same day was slim. The guy on the phone initially told me that the earliest appointment would be the next day, but he was able to find Jacob who was in the area and would be able to stop by in 1-2 hours. Jacob arrived and diagnosed the problem pretty quickly. He explained what was wrong (capacitor needed replacement) and then explained how he was going to fix it. He was very patient, made sure everything was up and running and made sure all our questions were answered before he left. Thank you to Jacob and Airtime for saving us from the heat!

We had our A/C installed about three years ago by another company. Recently, our house was reaching 89 degrees inside even though the A/C had been set to 76 all day. We initially called the company that installed it, and after checking the system for about 30 minutes, they told us everything was fine and that we just needed to change the air filter--which I had already changed only a couple of weeks earlier. In my gut, I knew something just wasn't right. I found Larson on Yelp and decided to give them a call. They were able to come out the very next day. The technician was friendly, thorough, and spent a significant amount of time running tests and inspecting the vents and ductwork in the attic. He eventually found the issue and fixed it! For the first time this entire summer, our house is actually 76 degrees inside! The difference is incredible, and I'm so grateful that he took the time to actually investigate the problem instead of assuming everything was fine. Larson has absolutely earned our trust, and they will be my first call for all of our future HVAC needs. Highly recommend!

I initially decided in Dukes of Air in May 2016 after our…read morecondo air unit bit the dust during a hot memorial weekend and the only online venue back then that was avail was Yelp- no Nextdoor, no Reddit... even though this company was bought out- I'm sure several of the original techs still are there doing the same crappy work-- see photos! I had them come out YEAR after YEAR and each time the tech would complain about what the last did. Aside from making a disgusting mess with all of the black tar over my closet room, the front and back concrete patio- they did a Jerry Rig Each and every time! And they stripped the screws and bolts badly. This hvac co. came out for biannual maintenance check -- which obviously doesn't include removal and cleaning of blower wheel and housing, nor does it include cleaning out the water outflow drainage tube that collects foliage debris; which then cause water backup prompting another service call. Btw. I promptly dumped the monthly service fee to get two "system checks" a year because it seems like once they find something- it's due to the last years of other techs doing absolutely nothing! They're all young and lazy looking to make a quick buck and likely forced by the corporate man to sell sell service repair upsell!! I'm not looking over their shoulder step by step and asking what are you doing, what does this mean? But I will for sure moving forward!! I keep my air at 77 and not lower, so there's not a huge stress. They noted a slow leak last February and suggested a leak test. I didn't do it at the time since he said it was slow. Two guys come out, in their separate top of the line Mercedes vehicles, and tell me I need my coil replaced; which is covered under warranty and scared me into schedule replacement for refrigeration leak and coil replacement along with the blower wheel cleaned, because, as the tech said look at what your breathing in (photo). No I am not - that's why there's a filter used inside, but still-well my bi yearly maintenance should include that cleaning!! And why wasn't this brought to my attention in the previous years??!Lazy arses. Since the coil is covered under warranty I was quoted 4 hours labor, coils replacement and fan cleaned and refrigerant at $$$2400!! The next company I used --Larson, a certified Trane dealer- said No leak!! Don't use them either, a grand less as they said no coil leak! But $1550 for refrigerant you can get on FB for free mixed with the new stuff at $15 a lbs and you mark up it up! I'm telling you these dumb techs don't know squat. Then how the heck did refrigerant leak in an enclosed system?? Hey Dukes if Air-/IF the coil is covered under warranty then why am I being charged for it?? This is with my gold member discount since they have serviced my unit exclusively since day one. If it is a slow leak why would the coil need to be replaced? The guy last Feb said it could wait until next year, but the guys today said that it could cause my compressor to blow! Yet my neighbors have their original unit from 30 yrs ago still working?? And-- it was very obvious that they both had to return to the vehicle to come up with a price each time. It was obvious one lead sales guy was teaching a newer guy how to reel the money in for repairs to be done as a quick fix for a couple grand-NOT getting to the root cause. 1) Bad recommendation to use Trane 2) Crap duct work done from day one 3) Crooked, Dumb or Lazy techs thereafter Lastly, the 5 stars are from friends and family members of the hvac techs and owners- it's ALL BS!! And use ai to do your homework and get at least 7 quotes! Find an individual or small business and let these big companies rip off Richie poos!

A couple even came by to look at the job site and make recommendations about the type of installation they thought I needed. After talking to four or five firms, Milton from Izzy's insulation reached out to me and made the most practical recommendation based on my unique situation. We ended up going with a blown in fiberglass insulation of R 38 and 13 inches. His price was the best by a few bucks, but I particularly liked his practical recommendations, and so ended up using him. He booked me out a week later and showed up exactly on time and had the job done in just a couple hours. He even provided me with before and after pictures that I can use when I submit my taxes for an energy tax credit. Very straightforward and honest service I recommend if you're looking for installation to talk to him at least. As it ended up the insulation did basically nothing to help with the temperature in my garage. If others are looking to do the same thing, I tell you to look at a combination of insulation for your ceiling, walls if needed, and the inside of your garage door these metal garage doors really radiate a lot of heat into the garage.

Air & Water Factor replaced both systems at my house after the upstairs system died in the middle of a heat wave. Tim spent over two hours going over my options and he even climbed up in the attic to inspect the system and duct work so he could give a good quote to make sure the new systems performed optimally. He gave me options for a basic system, a better, more efficient system that will save money and a top of the line system. I decided to go with the mid-range system, a Bryant 16 SEER system with a two stage compressor and variable speed blower. After signing the contract they were able to come the next morning to start the work. Daniel and Scott arrived at 7:45am and starting dismantling and removing the old system from the attic. They worked non-stop for 12 hours to get the new system installed and finish the job to make sure I had cool air by the end of the day. The next week Daniel and Scott were back to replace the downstairs system. After an 11 hour day I had a 2nd new system blowing cool air! I'm already saving money after reviewing the daily kWh usage from srpnet.com. Tim came back three days later to give me the warranty papers and he spent another hour with me answering questions. They also processed the paperwork for the SRP rebate, they just needed my signature. I highly recommend Air & Water Factor for system replacement and maintenance. read more

Wow! It's very rare to find a company that offers the high level of customer service and quality work that Air & Water Factor does while still offering competitive prices! We are going through a very stressful remodel, dealing with many different contractors and having VERY different customer experiences. Our first plumber's quote was EXTREMELY pricey and our backup plumber bailed on us. Though we were previously unfamiliar with Air & Water Factor, we try to support local, family owned companies whenever possible, so we decided to give them a shot. Mel and Tim have been mindful of our budget and our customer experience from the beginning. We were impressed by the amount of time they took to ensure they understood our situation up front. I like to understand the "why" behind the problem and both of them personally spent time with me, even inviting me up in the attic to take a look for myself! When problems arose in either their estimated cost or timeline to complete the project, they did not make it our problem. It says "Excellence matters" on the side of their vans and they really do live by that. Their whole crew has been fantastic. They stand by their work and made sure we ended up with a quality job. We interviewed several companies. Tim at Air & Water Factor was the only one to point out several important items that the other companies completely missed or neglected. 1. ACCESS FOR FUTURE ROOF WORK. The others did not ask about roof leaks. They all wanted to place the new unit on lumber that would make it impossible to access the problem areas of the roof. Tim designed a special stand that provided access for roofers to easily seal up the areas under the unit. Finally we were able to stop a roof leak that would disrupt our work when it would rain. 2. 2 SPEED UNIT TO REDUCE NOISE IN THE OFFICE. The 2 speed unit he recommended did not cost much more than the standard units. It is a much LESS STRESSFUL workplace because of the noise reduction & now we can hear our customers on the phone!!! 3. MOVING THE THERMOSTAT. The thermostat was near the copy machine which meant the system would never shut off. This added very little to the cost of the project but made the entire system work better. None of the other guys mentioned this. If we hadn't selected Air & Water Factor to replace our air conditioning unit, none of these problems would have been solved. My air conditioning system was extremely noisy, engineered incorrectly and installed wrong originally. Replacing a system like mine was especially challenging because the indoor section was in a space that was too small. There simply is not an indoor section available today that would fit in the same space. The Air & Water Factor install team spent a considerable amount of time figuring out how to relocate the indoor section into a closet. The benefit is that we were able to use standard equipment with greater warranties, and eliminate the noise. Tim also engineered some additional measures to prevent the possibility of water damage. I was impressed with the amount of time and effort that the Air & Water Factor team put into this project, before any work began. As this job was not an ordinary installation. The owner Mel was actually onsite for the work to ensure that everything went smoothly. He worked with me from start to finish making sure I am 100% satisfied with all details in regards of install, schedule and pricing. I could not be more impressed and happy with the finished product. I have been having issues with my shower since June so I contacted a plumber and he came out and said some parts needed to be ordered. He never showed up again or called me after that. I was so upset and was talking to a friend of mine who told me how amazing Air and Water Factor is and she told them to check them out. I am so happy that I did!!! My appointment was scheduled the same day at a very convenient for me hour and Daniel showed up at the EXACT time!!! He then ordered the parts right in front of my house and even called me personally the next day to let me know the parts are on their way! I hired Air & Water factor to replace both of my air conditioners at my property in Gilbert, AZ and I was extremely pleased with the service. Initially I had several contractors to provide me with a quote, but these guys seemed to be the most knowledgable and courteous. They were highly recommended by a friend of mine who had service done by them before. Their estimator and the technicians were very polite and patiently answered all of my questions regarding the new air conditioners in a professional manner. The technicians cleaned up very well after themselves once the installation was done. The office crew were very polite and courteous as well. We purchased a new air conditioner and a new water softener/carbon filter from Air & Water Factor on two separate occasions. They returned our calls right away, came out within a few hours both times, evaluated the issues, and gave us reasonable estimates for the replacement units and installation. They scheduled both installs within a couple of days. The installers for the upstairs AC unit were very diligent about keeping everything clean during the install. The water softener/carbon filter installer had to re-route some pipes and electrical, and did a very neat, clean job. We were contacted shortly after the installs both times to assure that everything was completed as promised and that there were no issues. I have used Air and Water Factor for several years. The first time they worked on my air conditioning, they corrected some mistakes made by the prior company I used. They did a good job advising me concerning repairs. I appreciate their approach. They inform me with out pressure, then its up to me to decide what to fix and what to decline. They kept my old system running for several years with out spending much money on it. Eventually it was a better idea to replace it. I got several bids and there pricing was very good. Now I am shopping for new house and I'm using them to evaluate the air conditioning systems on any home I may buy. I don't want to buy a house and have an AC failure right after I buy it. When the AC compressor failed I called Tim at Air & Water Factor. I had met Tim at a business meeting and I felt comfortable with him. Tim told us we actually had two problems with the AC. At that point, he gave me my options. Repair or replace with very clear explanation of the pros and cons of each. We considered replacing 2 of the 3 components but decided our best investment was to replace the entire system. I got prices from 2 other competitors. None of them could explain things clearly so that I could make a good decision. Air & Water Factors pricing was similar to the others but I got a better system and I am confident that I got the best installation. I had an emergency with my A/C unit during the summer. Air & Water factor came out to fix the unit and found a part needed to be replaced. The A/C unit was not working at all and my house was extremely hot. Air & water did not leave me in these conditions due to the unit breaking down on Friday evening after business hours. They brought me a very nice portable A/C unit that was able to cool down a portion of my house. They where able to ordered and replaced the part extremely fast and had my house up an running and cooling before I knew it. They also where very fair with their pricing and had great customer service from the ladies at scheduling to the field techs. Highly recommended and they are my new go to A/C company. read more

These folks are terrific. We had been having a problem with the AC Units and had tried to figure out the problem after consulting two other well know HVAC companies. Air & Water Factor was the only one who figured it out right away and corrected the problem. Travis and Eric showed up on time and did an amazing job. Our water heater was old and the project estimator Tim gave us a quote for new water heater and the price couldn't be matched by other companies that we contacted. The techs were courteous, punctual, knew what they were doing and got the water heater replaced quickly and cleanly. We would recommend Air & Water Factor to anyone, and they'll be who we call first in the future. read more

We got a new home and the water heater broke couple of days after we moved in. Air & Water Factor was the first business that came on Yelp after my research. I called them around 4.00 pm and they were in my house in less than an hour. The crew worked very hard, they were very friendly, addressed all my questions. And half hour latter I had a hot water in the house. I am very please with their services. If I have any issue with my A/C they will be definitely my first choice to take care of it! Our family remodeled our house in 2008, and Air Factor installed it, they now call themselves Air and Water Factor. They have been honest, dependable, timely, and really great at describing what is going on with the unit and what the possible suggestions are. We bought our Trane air conditioner from them and they did all of the duct work as well. The most important part of the job is after it is done. They have exceeded our expectations every time. They tell us what really needs to be fixed and what can wait. They take pictures of the issues and show us what is going on up there. I cannot say enough about how happy we are with them. read more

This is a 10 star company. My A/C went out just as the weather heated up. They honored the second opinion that I had, as well as provided options for me. Rather than rush out and try to get me to buy a new unit, the offered an affordable option and fixed it in a reasonable time. The dry unit they put in is better then my other unit. It runs quietly, efficiently, and it cools the house quicker. I will not recommend another A/C company to anyone. They were not pushy, they were professional, understanding, and just overall polite about the whole ordeal. best A/C company in the valley period. read more

I have worked with them on both the heating & plumbing side. I help manage several properties and every time I call, someone always shows up the same day.. A tenant had no hot water and as it turned out, needed a new tank. Daniel came out that day and it got it working long enough to install a new one the next day. Another tenant had no air conditioning. It was an old unit and Chris did a great job diagnosing the problem. After clearly explaining the options, we went with replacing it. The previous owners of my home used this company for AC work and I decided to go with them for an AC tune up. I'm happy I did. Great, honest service! Good price as well. The technician was here on time and did a thorough review of my very old AC system ( which is still chugging along) and condenser. He was honest about the little maintenance things I needed to do and did a fantastic job. He was professional and did not try to sell me anything. Would definitely recommend there services. They were easy to deal with, on time and professional. The Technician Jeffrey M. that came out was awesome!! He was punctual, knew what he was doing answered all my question and got the job done. The mess was bigger than what we had though but he figured it out and did a great job. He even cleaned up after himself which I don't see vary many technicians do. Also me and my sister agreed he was pretty easy on the eyes... not sure if that last part helps but would recommend them for sure! read more

He showed me 4 different systems and all prices were very fare and in the ballpark of other estimates i got from other contractors.. The company is women owned and you can tell, as they sent out an email and text with the estimated time of arrival and a short bio and photo of the tech coming. Jacobie was the tech that came out. Immediately he was super professional, asked to come in and wore booties over his shoes so as not to damage the flooring. He walked me through his ac health check and, luckily I was just needing to replace some filters - which he offered to do right then and there. Guy was on time, so kudos for that. But he greeted me with a very clammy/weak handshake. Sure, that's not a perfect measure of how a company performs, but it's so often accurate. We had prefaced this quote request by specifying to the office that we didn't want the highest end units as we were going to only be in the house for 3-5 more years. So, of course, he sees our large house and started pushing the highest end units they had. His responses to my questions were dismissive and haughty - obnoxiously arrogant for someone who made a few mistakes I caught during his presentation - and just found one in his quote. Pricing was the highest of all the vendors we received quotes from, and that's even with him erroneously reducing our 2.5T unit to a 2T unit. Also, their service & labor warranty is the shortest of the vendors at 2 years. Standard seems to be three.

I called a highly rated company on NextDoor and Yelp for AC service. I had Honest Air come out to…read morereplace a capacitor. I was shocked to find out that the diagnostic/service fee of $60 would not be applied to the repair. When I asked the owner to why he would not credit at least a part of the diagnostic fee to the capacitor replacement, he told me that Honest Air charged half of what any other company would charge for a capacitor. I paid $225 for the capacitor which google told me is the going price. I feel like Honest Air was not too honest with me. I would appreciate any feedback on the price I paid, and the fact that Honest would not take the diagnostic fee off the repair. The repair person also added $120 on to the bill to place a valve on the water line so it could easily be drained. He said the water line was clogged. Again not sure if that was true. Any feedback pro or con is welcomed.
