Its location near the amphitheater entrance of the Pompeii Archeological Park makes it very easy to find. The food was fantastic, the pasta was perfect. The service was absolutely top-notch as well. They provided English menus and we opted to sit outside. They do allow smoking on the patio so unfortunately we were around many smoking tables. We informed the server we wanted two pizzas made GF. He understood and said he can make pizzas and pasta GF. The bathrooms are all the way downstairs and are fairly kept up. The inside has a lot of tables and that is also where the cashier is. We ordered water and 2 GF pizzas to share - the ham and yellow/red tomatoes. The pizzas came out fairly quickly and the server confirmed they were GF when setting them down. In this fashion, we were lured into this establishment by the owner while walking through the silent street on a gloomy afternoon. The open, airy space is pleasant and unpretentious. The welcome by waiters was more comparable to a greeting that a host would provide for guests into their own house. Being presented with a wide spanning menu felt completely unnecessary, as within moments of sitting down, the chef came out of the kitchen to greet and tell about the house specialties. The middle aged Italian man was dressed very cleanly and despite little knowledge of English, provided a better recommendation than one could ever desire from yelp or from the menu itself, which still laid untouched on the table. The prosciutto bruschetta was bursting with flavor of fresh, ripe tomatoes that gave off the sweetness of a cherry, the fullness of sun ripening and the flavor that can only be experienced in a dream. The paccheri pasta looked as beautiful as it tasted, in a pleasant green color and the flavor profile that one can only experience in select establishments. Amusingly from the name, the Carlo Alberto pizza was the least favorite of the dishes had here, but was very interesting. If coming through to visit Pompeii, do not miss this establishment.

The have a "la super" margherita-- which is a margherita pizza that is 70cm long. This is great is you have a group and it can feed about 4-6, if you get appetizers. We also had: Capri which is pizza with red sauce, basil, beefsteak tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. A traditional margherita- the best in this area. Melagianella- an eggplant dish, with basil and Parmesan. Tasty Fried Food- a mix of fresh, fried vegetables. Caponata napoletana- delicious! We got this without meat. We sat outside in the garden area, which was nice and had fans spraying a light mist to help with the heat. The food itself was great. We ordered a Caprese salad and two pizzas, and everything we had was very good. The Caprese came out fairly quickly, probably within about 10 minutes, but unfortunately the pizzas took another 45-50 minutes after that. The frustrating part was watching several tables that sat down after us get their pizzas, eat, and basically finish their meals before ours ever arrived. It really seemed like our pizza order had been forgotten and only got started after someone realized what had happened. The staff was also fairly aloof throughout the meal and didn't seem particularly concerned about the delay. We also had a wasp aggressively bothering us at our original table, so we ended up moving, which seemed to annoy the staff a little, but there wasn't much we could do about that. Overall, the pizza and Caprese salad were genuinely very good, and the garden is a nice place to sit. It's a convenient option if you're already in Ravello or walking toward Villa Cimbrone, but given the service and how long we waited, I probably wouldn't go out of my way specifically to eat here.
