I was surprised by the aggressive nature of their tipping solicitation. I asked and looked up common tipping practices before we came. I always want to be a good tourist. Our server dropped the check and immediately proclaimed that doesn't include tip, even though there was a service fee. You don't write the tip in either. You have to tell the waiter. I was really caught off guard. The bill was 75 euro, so I said 15 euro. Thats 20% of the entire bill including taxes and other charges. Thats how I tip back home. He said, "19 euros." Lol! So, not only do you tip on top of a tip, they demand more. I accommodated because 4 euros won't kill me, it's not worth the hassle, and I'm not going to let it affect my families enjoyment of this beautiful place. Kind of a gross situation though.
