It was so good - I went for the 'broccoli e salsiccia' (I had this combo at another pizza place in the week, different combination but very good!). The lovely man who took our order said it would take about 20mins so we sat on the benches outside and watched a wedding that was happening at the local church! The food came out still hot from the oven and the cheese all melty and gooey! This pizza was soooo good! As another reviewer mentioned, it's also not fast food, but a sit-down restaurant. Our meal -- house-made gnocchi with tomato sauce (and a little too much mozzarella) and a pizza -- was good, but not earth-shattering. There are not many great choices near the Pompeii archaeological site, but this is a solid option: good food, decent prices, friendly and efficient service. The outdoor patio is also a nice, shady place to take a load off after walking around in Pompeii. Be aware that since it is outdoors, smoking is allowed. This is common in Italy and Spain, and frustrating if you are a nonsmoker. At Ventuno, there's a "lounge" area for it, but you'll still smell the cigarettes even from your table on the patio. It does dampen the experience a bit, but Ventuno is worth a stop if you need a break while visiting Pompeii.

The Antipasto was wonderful- homemade buffalo mozzarella, and the lasagna was fabulous! The owner and chef greeted everyone and even bussed a few tables. If you are going to Pompeii and are taking the train, this is on the way! Stop in and get something to eat. You won't regret it!
