    Bulgogi Bibim Rice
    Joyce H.

Solid food for casual Korean dining. I was pleasantly surprised that the Bulgogi Bibimbop actually had a little bit of crispy rice at the bottom of the hot stone bowl. The weird part was that they had the gochujang sauce in those small plastic takeout containers and they only gave me one which was not enough to flavor the entire bowl. All in all, the service was good from my experience, but I did notice that for a larger party, they had to go up to the register to place their order with the waiter multiple times.

My friends and I stopped in for lunch on Sunday, at 1 PM, following the Jersey City marathon. One or two parties of two also came in, and a couple people came in to pick up delivery orders. But overall the restaurant was really empty. The food was just fine. The kimchee fries seemed they would be a winner - with a name like that, it's like "what else do you need to know" - but the fries themselves were lacking crisp, and the kimchee didn't stay on the fries, leading to an uneven flavor distribution. On the other hand, the dumplings were nicely textured. I didn't really understand the stir-fry. Served on a tiny plate, it had to be either delicately stabbed with a fork, or gingerly handled with chopsticks. A larger plate would've let me scoop it up in larger portions. I'd come here for takeout, but not to dine in again.

The food is amazing and tastes authentic. They also have a great lunch special deal. My favorite is their tofu soup. The restaurant is cute and cozy and they have an adorable kitty that watches the store after hours. The staff is also very friendly.

Decent Korean spot, food is good enough to satisfy a craving! Ordered Kimchee Fried Rice with beef. Was pleasantly surprised by the portion size - Had lots of leftovers which was great! A bit disappointed by the proportions - very little beef, and the rice was a bit dry. Cute corner spot with hanging lights, some pictures and tiny flower decorations. Definitely a comfy feel. The employee served you the food at the table which is nice, but service wasn't particularly friendly at all, felt pretty indifferent. Still, good food and flavorful!

This is an awesome casual place, with excellent food. You arrive, order at the counter & they bring the food to you, nice casual ambiance. Not sure if they are BYOB but that would definitely be a nice plus. The food is great. Favorites are the kimchi fried rice, spicy wings & spicy chicken stirfry. I felt that the tofu stone bowl could have used more flavor, but i loved the crispy rice. Also, I wish the veggie waffles were a little crispier and less oily. Next time, I'm excited to try the lava cake.

we ordered online (or called, something like that) and i went over to pick up our food. the pick up process was very seamless, i really just picked up the paper bag that had my name on it and then off i went. while i didn't dine there, the decor was very homey and there was another couple eating there having a good time. it's a cute little neighborhood korean spot. what we ordered (* = my faves): - lunch special: mini bibimbap & 1 any appetizer (japchae)* - bibimbap - spicy pork LOVED THE LUNCH SPECIAL. the mini bibimbap is not mini at all and it filled me up for lunch. i left the japchae for leftovers and had it for dinner. super worth the value! flavors were yummy too, def mix in the spicy sauce with the bibimbap for max flavor! my boyfriend got the spicy pork and he said it was good. his little brother got the big bibimbap and he also said it was good. i will def be ordering that lunch special again!

Honestly, I'm surprised this place only has a 3.5. Based on my experience I would have expected at least a 4. I'm giving a 5, food was delicious and service was great. Spicy pork shoulder, bulgogi bibimbap, spicy tuna roll: all delicious. The kimchee fries were okay but overall, loved the food and will def be back! Also, our server was really nice and our food came out very quickly.

I guess people in Jersey City don't know what good Korean food is? I was pretty disappointed. The food is okay but it's very amateurly made. The kimchi is not fully developed. Really lacking the deepness in flavor that I have had at other places. The banchan was also a very disappointed. The items were not fully pickled either. The highpoint of the meal is that instead of the traditional scallion pancake, they have a scallion waffle. But honestly if the only interesting you do is turn a pancake into a waffle, you gotta step up your game. I ordered the spicy bulgoggi tofu stew, which barely had tofu. The beef was okay but the whole stew was lacking. The accompanying rice, which should be Jasmine rice, isn't. The bathroom is filthy so be aware. The staff doesn't really know much about the food or how the restaurant operates. I got confused looks when I asked a question. Overall, it was a disappointing meal.

This is a cute corner spot in JC with an affordable menu of Korean items. The portions are a bit off and each item could've been altered a bit to enhance the flavor, but overall a decent place to grab Korean cooking. (I would've enjoyed a slice of a lime to increase the taste on the TaKo or a bit more melt on the kimchi cheese fries since they were just warm.)

    Spicy pork tacos. Highly recommend

They will bring you menu on your table, but you have to get up to order food by register. Food comes fast, luckily they bring food to your table. Lol The spicy pork tacos are amazing. Definitely have a try! We ordered bulgogi bibmbop and seafood tofu stew. The stew flavor's good , just be aware their rice is really dry and hard.

Our soup that was spilt all over the containers
    Jamie C.

Zero stars for this establishment!! We ordered delivery and it was the worse experience ever! Disgusting!! We ordered 2 soups- when the delivery guy picked it up he spilt one, so had to return back to the restaurant to get another one.. he ended up spilling that one too. When food was delivered we were missing one soup and the rice containers had soup spilled all over it- when we opened up the rice container there was a cigarette butt in it. We assume he spilt it on the floor of his vehicle and scooped it back into the container. We called to complain and really didn't get satisfactory results. They offered to refund one of the soups and and discount our next order- who the hell would want to order from that disgust place again?! Please save yourself and money!! We tossed all the food because who could trust what the delivery person did with the rest of the food.

Yummy corner neighborhood spot. Adds something different to JC! Will definitely be back for more bulgogi bibimbap.

This is a very quirky restaurant with great food…read more It's fun for a casual night. The restaurant is run by one guy who is the chef and waiter. You have to wait until it is your turn for him to cook your food. The menu is confusing and difficult to understand, but basically it is pad thai, noodle soup or a crepe all with your choice of protein. We had the beef crepe and chicken pad thai. Both were excellent.

From the moment we walked in, the owner personally seated us and ended up cooking our food himself. He has a quirky, memorable personality that adds to the charm of the whole experience. It's the kind of place where you can tell the food is made with intention rather than being rushed out of a big commercial kitchen. The dishes were packed with flavor and tasted very authentic. You can really tell the ingredients and spices are balanced the way Thai food should be -- bold, savory, a little spicy, and deeply satisfying. Everything we ordered had great texture and presentation as well. Overall, it was a unique dining experience with authentic flavors and a memorable host. If you're looking for a polished corporate restaurant this isn't it -- but if you want something personal, quirky, and genuinely delicious, Prince & I is absolutely worth visiting. Would definitely come back!!

A Decade of Love on a Plate: A Local Favorite That Punches Above Its Weight…read more This place is the definition of a neighborhood gem--the kind you almost want to keep secret, yet can't stop yourself from praising. Cheap and cheerful on the surface, it punches way above its weight class, delivering inventive, clean, Asian-inspired food that's masterfully cooked by clearly skilled hands--and made with real love. I've been coming back year after year for most of this restaurant's 10-year lifespan, and that consistency is no accident. Every dish tastes intentional, thoughtful, and deeply satisfying, with a clear goal: to feed people love on a plate. It's a super veggie/vegan friendly that easily wins over even my "meat and potatoes" husband--who happily cleans his plate every time. In an era where genuine hospitality feels increasingly rare, Perry single-handedly restored my faith that quality service is not extinct. Warm, attentive, and authentically kind, Perry makes every guest feel seen, welcome, and cared for--without pretense or attitude. This is food that nourishes, service that uplifts, and a place that keeps you coming back not just for the flavors, but for how it makes you feel. A true neighborhood treasure.

I've seen this restaurant circling my YELP for the last few months and put it on my "want to try"…read morelist. This place is absolutely solid! If you're looking for good flavorful food options, this has got to be on your "must try" list, I genuinely do not think you'll be disappointed. I ordered the blueberry lemon iced tea, maitake mushroom medley with the option of udon noodles & added chicken, the coconut curry with the option of ramen noodles and the rice pudding with caramel sauce for dessert. First things first, my absolute FAVORITE thing about this restaurant is the food contains no GMO's no preservatives, pink Himalayan salt to season and NO REFINED sugars- only agave and palm sugar to sweeten. I WISH I would've known about this spot sooner JUST for that detail alone. I am always on the hunt for a place that offers refined sugar free options, and with that comes this level of safety knowing what I am consuming has a heath standard/holistic approach to meet and me not having to feel guilty or worrisome after a meal. Absolute 10/10 in that aspect. I saw a few reviews mention the blueberry lemon iced tea, as someone not even a fan of lemonade I decided to give it a try. Let's just say, I was slow sipping my drinks to not finish it all and avoid getting another in the same sitting lol. It's well balanced, not sour, blueberry flavor is present and knowing it's sweetened with agave led to guilt free pleasure. Would recommend everyone to try it, even if you're not a fan of lemonade like I am. Another mention, lemonade tends to make my throat dry, due to its sourness and tanginess and that didn't happen at all. Think the blueberry was more prominent than the lemon, it was really enjoyable. The curry ramen was a highlight! If your a fan of curry, I think you def have got to try this. I actually didn't get it (my partner did) because I didn't wanna be let down, but it was absolutely delicious. I got the maitake medley udon noddles with added chicken and what a blast of flavor. It had veggies, mushrooms, chicken, udon, eggs, kimchi and was extremely flavorful. I was very surprised that each element of the dish had its own flavor and spice that really jumped out, but paired well together. The least favorite thing for me on this platter was the eggs. Just your standard egg, I'm a fan of soy-marinated eggs on my noodles and not a fan of regular boiled eggs, but they are always an added protein plus! One honorary note, is the kimchi. I like kimchi, don't love it, but this was the best kimchi I have ever had. I even ordered a side to go. Another cool thing is the food is cooked fresh, right in front of you. Tbh, we were the only ones in there at 6 PM and food took quite a while, but I appreciate and prefer freshness over quickness always. The rice pudding is light and the homemade refunded sugar-free caramel addition makes it so much better. As there were only two options of dessert on the menu (rice pudding & matcha ice cream) I decided to give it a go although I'm not really a fan of rice pudding. Was it amazing? No. Would I get it again? Possibly. This place was on the pricier side I would say. My bowl of maitake mushroom w/chicken (added chicken being a $6.50 dollar up charge) was $34. Worth it for that price point? Not really, but good none the less. I also ordered a small side of kimchi (the small clear containers) and that was $7 which I think is crazy, but also it was good. For a better price point, I might've asked for a jar lol. Customer service- the workers were nice, but not really personable, which I don't really care for much, but bringing this up because there was this sense that maybe I shouldn't be in there or they just possibly didn't want to work. I tipped nonetheless, but for being the only couple or people in there I thought we would be greeted by everyone, just a simple acknowledgement, but it felt more like we were bothering them by walking in. I understand that people have their days and you have no clue what someone is going through personally, but it was distinct enough to mention- especially as someone who never really comments on the customer service aspect. I see through it cuz the food was great! Something about it was also just a let down, but I can't put my finger on it. Although it was good, I don't see myself frequenting this place. Maybe the price point is deterring me, but I do think it's worth a try!
