My experience at this ahipoki was absolutely horrible. I use to come here around this time last year and it was super easy and the staff was amazing and helpful. These new people just don't know what good customer service is. When I went in last week there were two females one with a mask and one without, the one without a mask helped me and she was so rude about it and very unsanitary. I saw her handling food in the back because she brought it to the front and did not wash her hands to help me. She looked like she was very annoyed to be there and just did not want to work. I like this place. I was super excited to see a new poke place open up around here. The food offered here are pretty standard as poke places goes. Their dishes are fresh and they offer rice and salad. What I appreciate the most about this place is their rice. This is the only poke place I've been to that serves rice closest to that of a sushi restaurant. Every other place all have super mushy rice. So the rice here is what sold me on this place. Their pricing is decent. It is ever so slightly more expensive than other places but hey, I'd pay that to not have my rice be all mushy. The reason I'd didn't give it a full 5 stars is cuz like some people mentioned, they don't give out as much fish. So I knocked off a star for that. If I can give this business 0 stars I would. Went in today, and purchased three teriyaki chicken plates. Seems to me this place is ran by an Asian family (husband and wife, and their daughter). Below is my experience. So I walk In there with my family, and immediately sense this unwelcoming energy. I'm not big on vibes or anything, but there's is something off about this place. It's 11 am. As we approach the food counter, I notice that the spoons utilized to portion ALL of their veggies and meats are the SiZE of a QUARTER, TINY. I figured they were probably going to switch them out, for bigger portion like advertised on their display windows. As I am looking around I noticed the older woman (wife of guy running this place) say something to her husband in their native language, to which their daughter rolls her eyes. I look at the woman and she starts pointing at my family with her husband and chuckles. I am almost certain they were being judgmental, but I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt. I tell the daughter id like three teriyaki chicken plates, with half salad and half white rice. The woman yells at her daughter from across the room, and immediately runs to the counter, removes her daughter from serving us, and begins serving the SKIMPIEST PORTION of salad and rice. I look at her confused, and then she hastily starts asking me what veggies I want. I point to the veggies, and this woman is serving veggies from the SMALLEST scooper I have ever seen in my life. I start feeling very confused as to why she is being so frugal with the portions, but this woman is speaking at a rate faster than the speed of light trying to get us to decide on our veggies. She then informs us to wait a few minutes, so her husband may cook our chicken. I figured, you know what, maybe they will compensate on the meager veggie portions with adequate protein. We go take a seat, and wait about 3 minutes. Suddenly the husband arrives with our plates, and as soon as I open the first one I notice THREE STRANDS of RUBBERY Chicken Thigh on each plate. About a quarter cup of chicken thigh on each plate. Think about it, we spent $38 on three severely underwhelming plates. This is the last draw. I grab the plates, walk on over to the counter, and ask the husband for a refund. That I don't want it. He acts super shocked and pretends not to fully understand me. The wife marches over and starts YELLING at me, telling me she will not refund me, especially if I saw her serving us that she refuses to refund our money. I tell her that if she refuses to, I will call the police to report her false advertisement and her abusive behavior. At this, the husband suddenly hushes her, and refunds me my money. This place is ran by very impolite, judgmental, and callous people. The prices they charge and the advertised meals should be reflected in their serving; which is not. I have a video of this incident. And I'm almost certain they are saying horrible things about myself and my family for refusing to consume their subpar food. Go at your own risk. I have attached pics of the incident. U can see the husband push her, literally away, from us. She is yelling all sorts of obscenities in her native language I'm sure and screaming at us for demanding a rightful refund. In the pics you can also see just how filthy their floor is. read more

My husband had brown rice with spicy salmon, tuna with avocado, and plain salmon. He and grandson like the spicy mayonnaise dressing, snd crunchy toppings. Today I ordered same and asked for same two scoops of masago as I had before and was told there will be an extra cost. What?!! I don't ask for other toppings! C'mon. I understand food cost but when I look at others' orders, their regular orders are stacked to the hilt, and yet, for a miserly scoop of masago I was going to be charged extra. the fish itself was pretty good, it's just ridiculously small portions. i've been to other Ahipoki bowl locations where it is a regular portion. i ordered the small bowl with a salad base. this comes with two scoops of whatever protein. i chose double tuna and was given a big clear plastic container with salad and literally 5 pieces of tuna (yes - i counted). i ended up paying for another scoop for a couple more pieces. to top it off, the trays are VERY sticky and appear to not have been cleaned very well. during covid times, cleanliness is very important and this was a complete turn off. i will not be returning. read more
