Was craving poke so stopped by here...unfortunately not too impressed. It was all just alright. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have sushi rice, only regular white rice. I got the two scoops for $14.95 and got the premixed tuna luau and a regular scoop of salmon. I had a new worker who was still under training. Understandable. The manager helped out and added a few more pieces of fish since I was getting really measly scoops. I only got the house sauce for the mix. I should've got a lot more. The final produce of the bowl was missing so much flavor that I had to ask for extra soy sauce packets. I was surprised the premixed tuna luau barely had any flavor. As for fish quality, it wasn't bad per se but I could tell it also wasn't the freshest. It was fairly fishy tasting where it bordered on tasting old but not bad. Wouldn't really come back. It pseudo checked off the poke craving for now. read more

Yuck. I used to come here regularly when I worked nearby, back before COVID. They had some of the best albacore around, and I always paired it with their house spicy sauce. Unfortunately, my recent visit was a huge disappointment. The quality has gone significantly downhill. They now offer mostly pre-made poke with very few options that aren't already covered in sauce. They also no longer carry albacore, so I ordered regular tuna and salmon instead. The house spicy sauce was still good, but that's about where the positives ended. The first bite of tuna immediately raised a red flag. It had a noticeable odor and an unpleasant taste. It definitely did not taste fresh, or at the very least, it didn't seem like it had been stored properly. I went back to the counter and mentioned it to the staff. The employee who made my bowl--possibly the manager or owner--told me it was bluefin tuna and that it was supposed to taste that way. I explained that I've eaten poke at plenty of places and fresh tuna does not taste like that. He kept insisting it was just a matter of "preference." Sorry, but fresh fish isn't a preference--it's a requirement. To their credit, they did offer to replace the tuna, and I swapped it out for more salmon. Unfortunately, by that point my appetite was gone. The salmon was edible, but I couldn't bring myself to enjoy the meal and ended up throwing away the entire bowl. It pains me to leave such a low rating because they did try to make it right, but this place needs to do better. These bowls aren't cheap, and it was frustrating to throw away a $15+ meal because I couldn't eat it. Sadly, I can't recommend this place anymore read more

Came here for the first time: clean store/restroom, lots of seating, easy to find parking, and friendly staff! The poke is cheaper than other places (but also comes with a smaller portion/less topping choices compared to other poke spots)! I would eat here again if I was craving a poke bowl and can't go to my favorite poki spots! read more

Aside from typical protein choices, I like that they also have some interesting pre-mixed poki combinations. I have the two scoops ($14.95). AhiPoki was a solid poke option. Parking was easy and plenty available in the Eastland center parking. As I head inside it was a busy on a Sunday afternoon. The ordering process was very easy as all of the items were listed on the glass. The staff was quick to pointing out what each item was and adding things to the bowl. There were plenty of ingredients available, which I appreciated. Additionally, I also got the mango tropical drink, which they also had one size. Everything was really good! This has been one of my favorite places to grab a DELICIOUS and healthy meal for many years. The food here, is always fresh, tasty and portion sizes are filling. There are so many choices of tuna, crab, salmon, etc., from which to choose in order to make your bowl. I never feel guilty about anything I eat from this restaurant. Employees are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The restaurant is always clean and there is usually plenty of seating available. There are no fountain drinks sold here however, can canned and bottled beverages are available. Be advised that if you come during the lunch hour, be prepared to stand in line as this is a very popular restaurant in the area, but worth the wait. read more

This spot is definitely a local favorite. I've been here a handful of times, and every visit has been a pleasant experience. Service is always quick, and the staff is super friendly. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful--I usually go for the 3 scoops or the cooked salmon bowl, and they never disappoint. Shoutout to the girl who helped me today--she was really sweet and patient, even while dealing with a pretty demanding customer about his Toast account (lol). I didn't catch her name, but she had some awesome Beetlejuice tattoos! AhiPoki is a great option whether you're looking for a quick, refreshing bite on a hot day or a warm bowl on a chilly one. If you're a poke fan, definitely give this place a try--it's better than most out there. read more

The absolute best poke spot! I started going since I started working in Eastland center. Everytime I come I get greeted by the best manager, who I found out today is named Edwin! He's super sweet and always very happy to serve. Today when I walked in a hour before closing I was greeted by Edwin and saw that they ran out of limu tuna he told me he can try and make it for me but he doesn't have all the ingredients and told me they were actually closed! Even though they were closed he didn't seem to budge on not being able to serve us and was still very accommodating. Food was amazing as always he seasons it perfectly. AhiPoki (West Covina) served fresh, healthy poke bowls (diced raw fish on rice/salad and veggies) and welcoming, friendly service. I arrived Monday (around 7PM), and staff chirpily exclaimed "Hello! Welcome!" when entering. I ordered the Poke Bowl - Two Scoops ($14.95). I selected blazing salmon and kimchi shrimp for the scoops. And I selected the white rice base, house sauce, sliced cucumbers, edamame, roe, imitation crabmeat, and seaweed. The ordering process is simple and quick. All the ingredients are clearly labeled too. Imagine Subway but with way fresher ingredients and kinder service. The food came quickly. Concerning the food's quality, I was genuinely surprised me. AhiPoke has many locations, so I expected something passable; however, this West Covina (Eastland Center) location tasted very fresh. Surprisingly, I felt very satisfied with my meal. I eagerly devoured the plump shrimp and soft salmon. The vegetables tasted fresh and the rice was fluffy. Regarding staff, the 7PM staff was uniquely exceptional. They had large smiley faces, and they quickly offered to explain the ingredients and offer recommendations. Very unusual for a food chain but welcomed. When customers weren't approaching the counter, staff suddenly began cleaning. Very committed. AhiPoki's (West Covina) ambiance is probably its weakest aspect. Although the poke-themed wall art is appealing, the place felt cramped despite the many tables. Chill music echoed in the location, but I was mesmerized by the random construction ladder standing by the corner. Thankfully, the AhiPoki (West Covina) is very clean and well-ventilated. From the tall ceiling, several ceiling fans spun around. The location is nestled in West Covina's Eastland Center Plaza, so there's plenty of parking. Overall, AhiPoki (West Covina) offered tasty, satisfying, healthy food. The price is competitive, and the service is bright. If nearby, I recommend. read more

Update: officially reported to the health department! So I came today to get a 2 scoop bowl knowing their soda machine wouldn't be working (they finally took it out). I was at home almost done with my bowl when I saw a white thin thing sticking out of my salmon piece. I pulled it out and it was moving upon me taking it out. I almost threw up on my couch. I am so disgusted I'm reporting this place to the health department! I am a full time student and cannot afford to miss school. If I get sick from this I am quite literally suing. The more pieces I looked through the more worms I found. The salmon was also warm when I ate it and my home is not even 5 min away from the restaurant. read more

Usually I don't mind the portions for this place but this time, we ordered a large and they definitely skimped out on the portions. I attached a picture for reference but, how disappointing. At another poke place, they pack our bowls for a more competitive price. This portion size does not mirror the cost we paid at this location. They definitely packed this bowl with a lot more rice, and not enough fish. The scoops must have shrunk. read more

Great food, great quality poke, and amazing customer service. The young lady who helped me was kind, friendly, and very welcoming. However, there was a sign in the window that said "Sign up for our app and receive free avocado," so I signed up while waiting to order. At checkout, I was told I needed to redeem the reward in the app. When we checked, I learned that simply signing up does not actually give you the reward--you must first join and then start collecting points before becoming eligible. Unfortunately, this felt misleading, and I ended up having to pay for the avocado I thought would be free. That was frustrating and took away from what would have been a perfect experience. Overall, the food is excellent and the staff is great--just be aware of potentially confusing signage and how the rewards work. read more

I really like the poke here as it is fresh and they are really generous with their portions. I got the salmon and shrimp two proteins and it was super good and filling after a long drive from Palm Springs. The service was good too even though I got there around three PM on a Sunday. I would definitely come back and recommend everyone to use the rewards system. read more

Looking for a Poke place in the area and this popped up and the Yelp reviews were positive. Ordered a teriyaki chicken plate (Teri sauce on the side) and 2 3 scoop plate and 2 orders of the spam musubi (4 total). First things first - the scoops are super small. The 3 scoops are equivalent to 1 regular sized ice cream scoop. You get the most fish, when you order the regular fish where they mix it in the bowl. All the pre-mixed ones you get mostly fillers (onions, bits of avocados etc etc) The base layer of rice (or greens) is a thin layer. Skimping on the rice...and the sides. Those are the cheapest part of the meal. The server, accidentally put green onions on my plate - didn't even offer to remake it. I just ended up having to pick it all out when I got home. The tuna, while mixed in the garlic sauce wasn't very flavorful at all. It was at best mild. The chicken plate - surprisingly had a decent amount of chicken. However, the teriyaki sauce on the side, they forgot it. I told the server twice and then when the cook asked me if I wanted sauce on the chicken, I told him on the side. Well, it went in 1 ear and out the other. There was no Teri sauce. The spam musubi's were ok, had just enough teriyaki sauce on them. Server only packed 2 forks for the 3 medals and no napkins. Overall - it wasn't worth the price we paid. The fish was lacking in flavor and the service wasn't very good. Missing sauces and not enough utensil's and no napkins. I'll be searching for another Poke place. read more

I was feeling poke and this place happen to be along my drive home. I'm grateful I stumbled upon it. Food: 5/5 I got medium bowl that came with two scoops of protein. The poke was fresh (I got salmon and tuna) the sides were plentiful, and the sauces were pretty good. They gave pretty big portions that were more than enough for one meal. Service: 5/5 There was a short line when I got there, but their workers are quick. I think I was in an out in like 5 minutes. Great quick, delicious food. read more

Definitely DELICIOUS! I had a late night craving for Poké so I ordered Unagi Musubi (2), 2 Scoop Poke Bowl with salmon and spicy tuna from Grubhub. Fast delivery! The items were separated in their own to go boxes to ensure freshness and the greens were crisp complimenting the salmon and spicy tuna in the bowl. Unagi musibis were very tasty and filling. So fire the food is really good and I really enjoy the option to have kelp noodles as the base for the poke, I tried it for the first time and it's hard going back to anything else so I get disappointed when other poke spots don't have it. The workers are all really nice and even let you sample things but the lines are just really long sometimes. Overall definitely one of my favorite poke places in California, near me, even the ambiance is fairly nice with the place being pretty clean. She recommended certain items, she was helpful, she answered our questions and she gave us options when we couldn't decide. She was so friendly and she even greeted us as soon as we walked in. I am a poke LOVER. I have been wanting to try this place for years but never made my way in until today. I chose the 3 protein half and half. The serving size is generous but something wasn't right. First, I got three different ahi's because that's how I roll. I got the spicy tuna, lava ahi, and plain ahi. The sauces were not very saucy and the fish tasted not so fresh. In other places for the toppings sometimes avocado is included in the price, here it is not so I opted out. For 18.some id probably not get poke from here again. I would try the cooked bowls though. Overall, nice clean store, service was decent, but the poke was lackluster. If you love poke the way I do, you probably won't love this place. If you are not picky, have at it. read more

I ate here a few weeks back and the food was fantastic and so was the service! I went back again today and couldn't have been more disappointed. I can't comment on the food quality as I ended up walking out. The service was HORRIBLE!! The employees were so concerned with making all the online orders that they left the rest of us that came into the store waiting for a ridiculous amount of time with no acknowledgement. When I finally get to the front a new person comes up and tells me it's going to be a little bit before we can get to you. I love that your business is successful and a lot of people are ordering online but you can't sacrifice the in store experience for everyone else. So disappointing! read more

Ordering was pretty easy. This poke place has different flavored proteins that I don't really see other places do like the blazing salmon and kimchi shrimp. Luckily, they let you sample the meats, so you can decide before ordering. You can choose as many sauces as you'd like. Yum! I really enjoyed my poke bowl. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. It also had many black markings among its grains. Eventually, I tossed the rice into the trash can. Concerning ambiance, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue (Azusa Ave) is an ugly location. Its outside looks worn down and poorly maintained. Although its interior has clean tables, the interior felt musty and humid. No music plays; rather, one lone flat screen television played aloud. All in all, i felt embarassed in front of my best friend who treated me to the meal, when i had done nothing but brag about this place and their food non stop. I wpuld have loved to have had a conversation wirh Ms Nova Mendoza herself in person to compliment her on the amazing food but also to tell her that the staff needed further training im hospitality, customer care, and soft skills , it is their behavior and conduct which will bring this restaurant down. I came in tonight around 20 mins before closing and I was looking forward to tuna luau but unfortunately they were out... Carissa helped me out tonight and before I ordered my bowl she had made me aware that they were very limited on their fish for the rest of the night due to a busier evening and she also explained to me they were no longer preparing fish... I understood but I wasn't interested in the few fish that they were serving. But right when I was going to leave she called me back in and said "everyone keeps leaving me because of our fish options, please come back" I thought that was sweet of her.. so of course I came back and she seared my shrimp for me and made me luau with the little bit of tuna they had left (just without the avocado)... thank you for calling me back in!! I would of regretted it if you didn't... outstanding service to her tonight for doing her best to making sure I was happy. I will definitely be back for her to serve me! One of the cool perks is that you can add extra scoops for $2.50 each, which is what I did--I went for 4 scoops. I ordered a half-salad, half-rice base, and the rice was fresh and fragrant. I chose 2 scoops of spicy tuna and 2 scoops of spicy salmon, and both were delicious. Their sauces, like the spicy house and garlic sauce, are lighter than cream-based sauces, but still pack a lot of flavor. The toppings were standard for poke places, but everything was very fresh. Lol to the person who claimed that the workers there are racist for protecting themselves during a pandemic is delusional. This locations employees are extremely kind and great people, I would know because I'm a regular here. The food is amazing and the main reason why I choose this location over others is mainly because of how warm the welcome is when I arrive because they know me well. I've seen them give the same attitude to other regulars as well. As long as you're kind, they're kind. Definitely one of the better poke locations, and I highly recommend giving it a try. I said no rice just spring mix, ok. The rest of the workers seemed like they couldn't understand what I was asking. They rushed me along like my questions were unreasonable but again they had no idea what was in the sauce. Wow the food is top notch. I'm an avid poke eating monster and place Ahipoke in my top 5 to go places! Their service was great! The workers are so accommodating. The location is easy to get to. One of my favorite go to Poki restaurants. The spring mix was crisp, no browning, edamame was superb & carriers are always sweet. Salmon was large and chunky, crab was very finely shredded! I just wish they didn't skimp out on the Tuna fish. Brown rice was delicious nice & sticky. Overall great spot for anyone especially if it's your first time trying. read more

Just stopped by here for the first time. I really like the atmosphere and location. The food is very good quality, and clean! They have custom teas and drinks, I tried the guava tea, it was excellent! The seafood options are very good, they have a lot to choose from and special mixes as well. The high majority of the employees like Ashley and Amaris are also super helpful and great at what they do. Ideal place to come when you want Ahi poki.
