Beware. I feel like i got scammed. The food looks nothing like the pictures and the portion size is a joke. The picture is exactly how I received the order. The chicken tasted like it has been cooked and sitting in a warmer for a while.

Ahi katsu bowl. Super small...and over cooked katsu, almost burnt crisp.

Wow i feel like i got robbed. The actual food is much different than the store picture; it's even worse than a McD ad & a real life burger. I got Ahi katsu bowl and it was very disappointing. 1. Portion size is super small. 2. Katsu is almost burnt. I think they use over-used oil. 3. The veggie is different than one in restaurant pic. Just few parts of iceberg lattuces...come on.. 4. I ordered two ahi katsu bowl and they only gave me 1 katsu sauce thats only half filled...super stingy restaurant. I really do not recommend this place. I warn you. You will waste your money if you order from this place. I would avoid this restaurant at all cost.

First timer and I loved the crispy spam musubi!! It was so good I was impressed. I normally love spam musubi, and having it crispy was a game changer. Flavor was on point, Crispyness wasn't too much or too bready, it was just right. Came with soy sauce and sirracha on the side which was appreciated!! Will be back!

i've ordered from here a couple times already but each time i do, it feels like it just gets worse and worse. the first couple times i ordered i got the kalua pork (before they took it off the menu) and it was just dry and unpleasant. this time around i ordered their karaage plate with 2 sweet rolls. a $20 order and what i got was no more than 3oz of chicken and no rolls. would not recommend eating here again.

I just came here for the first time. And I was blown away! I had the fried katsu mac musubi and it was insanely good! The Food came out super fast. I took it to the pier to eat while fishing and even after 3 hours the food was still amazing. Too bad I not from around the area or else I will get it so often!

There is an L&L up the street. Just order from there. Chicken was dry and portions were tiny.

Ghost kitchen, not real Hawaiian food. No phone number. No staff. Takes forever to get food.

Great Hawaiian BBQ. The chicken was cooked well and the katsu is amazing too. Solid spot if you're craving Hawaiian food.

Really bad food. Bad portion sizes. To pay their prices for what you get is really sad and embarrassing.

There was plenty of seating inside and out but I also went in the middle of the afternoon. I'm sure seating may be difficult during rush hour here. Don't be discouraged if you see a long line, the service is fast. Expect to spend $15-$20ish a plate. The only things I didn't like were the sides when bought separately. I got a side of mac salad and there was barely any. I got more in the actual plate. If I had to get a side again, it would probably be a musubi since there's no way they can skimp out on that.

I only began eating Hawaiian street food and flavors about 10 years ago, and even in Honolulu, the North Shore or in Hilo, I have never had such amazing Hawaiian fare. The lace is true to the Hawaiian feel with posters and stickers and great Hawaiian decor everywhere. And even on the busiest days I have been there I have never waited longer than 10 minutes. I meant to review them leaving now my last trip here, but never got to it, but what I can say is the apriete of fresh fish, Korean short ribs, katsu ahi, shout ahi poke, Mac salad, Kim chee , nothing disappoints. So much flavor, so fresh, so perfect. Grab some spam masubi or shrimp lolli for a snack, or da roots plate or da mento f*ckin bento for a full meal and treat yourself to the islands. One of the Best Hawaiian BBQ Spots I've Tried!…read more A friend finally brought me to his favorite Hawaiian BBQ spot (I guess he decided to stop gatekeeping ), and I'm so glad he did! I ordered the 2-Piece Boneless Chicken Plate with the spicy garlic sauce, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The chicken was incredibly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The seasoning paired perfectly with the spicy garlic sauce, making every bite delicious. The rice was cooked perfectly, and the creamy mac salad had a nice peppery kick that complemented the meal really well. My only minor complaint was that the chicken was just a tad salty, but it wasn't enough to take away from the overall experience. The two women working the register were friendly, welcoming, and professional, greeting everyone with big smiles. The dining area inside was spotless, there was plenty of indoor seating, and parking was easy with lots of available spaces it was very clean! If you're looking for flavorful Hawaiian BBQ with crispy, juicy chicken and excellent customer service, this place is definitely worth a visit. I'd happily come back again. 9/10!

Recently, we found out that they moved to a new location, which is actually a lot closer to us. We ordered our usual (2 chili peppa boneless combo plates of spicy garlic and garlic), but sadly, it just wasn't the same. The chicken wasn't as crispy as before, and it hardly had any flavor. We were disappointed, but we're willing to give it another try. Hopefully, this was just a one-time thing.

The chicken itself was super crispy and fresh. Personally, I think the chicken sandwiches could've used just a little bit more seasoning, but overall everything was still really good. What truly made the experience stand out was Danny at the register. He was absolutely amazing and had incredible customer service. Once he found out it was our first time there and that they were close to closing, he went above and beyond and accommodated us with not one, but TWO chicken sandwiches on the house for us to try. That level of kindness and hospitality honestly made our night. We ended up getting an amazing combo with shrimp, chicken, macaroni salad, two Spam musubi, two chicken sandwiches, and two drinks -- all for only $22!!! Such a great value for the amount and quality of food we received. Danny's energy alone made us want to come back. Great customer service goes a long way, and this place definitely left a positive impression on us!
