They are the smartest toy breed and London understood how to be Maddie's support dog, staying with her if allowed. But when the manager changed, the salon began to promise to keep them together and then as soon as I left would bathe one at a time even though the had two groomers just waiting on the bather. They may be better now. I don't know. I stopped bringing my long haired dogs there when they cut my dog London multiple times. Then they both passed at 14. Now we go to Amy's. It's a lot better if your dogs have any issues as it's a single client at a time. Petsmart may have advantages now though, I don't know.

On the other hand the 'freeze dried mussels' didn't go over so well. They do have a bunch of this 'No-Hide' rawhide chews, those are great since rawhide is very hard to digest. Another favorite was the beef cheeks coated in peanut butter. They also had a great assortment of toys starting with plushies all the way to the 99.9% indestructible toys(they say they are 100%, but I know a dog that finds the flaw every time). (if you're going to make the dog get a bath, at least let them get really dirty first!!) and then into the shop for a bath. Adorable shop loaded with GOOD food for your four-pawed friend, gifts, cards, etc and a good selection of shampoo and conditioner for your dog's bath. You can blow dry your pal right in the tub as well, and leave with a fresh-smelling dog. Woof.

Said she was talking to her boss to a customer she was ringing up at the register but then talked about personal stuff on the phone. The store is very small and cramped. Even though it's a pet store it's not dog friendly. The girl never acknowledged my dog. I asked if they had any local baked dog treats like most small individual dog stores do, she pointed me to a shelf of big brand dog treats. I clarified and she was clueless and then said no. Waited at the register to buy something and she was looking at paperwork on a clipboard even though we were directly in front of her with our wallet out. Asked for a sweet potato treat. She shoves the container from her side of the counter at us. I asked for a bag for it. She expected me to go in there with my hands and take it. Immediately started ignoring us after we paid. It's a cute name but that's about it.

What they do have is a vast supply of pet food and supplies of all kinds, and the good nutrional kind, not like Ol' Roy at Walmart. They also have doggie clothing, pet toys, pet houses, automatic litter boxes, medicines, holistic tonics for your pooch or puss...you get the idea. They are very helpful and will entertain any questions and give you good advice. When I was desperate to keep one of our 2 week old kittens alive when he was trying his best to die, they had kitten bottles and formula and told me how to go about taking care of him. I am happy to report that Bob or "Wobbler" as we refer to him since he is a bit crooked from the whole ordeal but it just makes him more endearing, is still alive. Sure, it took 24 hours of me sitting with him and force feeding him every hour to do it. Yes, I had to keep putting him in with his Mama and his litter makes when she kept removing him and leaving him on the floor to die. But Mama and the boys finally took him back in when he got enough of his strength back and it was all worth it if you ask me... Its good to know that in an area like Great Barrington where nothing is "close" to get to, there was a place right nearby that had what I needed to save my kittens life.
