She passed away from sedation. 18 years old and I've had her since since she was 10 months old. Gone....just like that! A healthy strong bird....my sweet Ivy girl. What happened to her has been just gut wrenching painful and heartbreaking! I miss her every minute of every day. They took my girl from me! PLEASE DO NOT take your birds here for grooming! Take them to a vet! Also know that there's another similar review from 3 years ago from a woman named Michelle from clifton park, so this has happened before! Don't risk your bird's life! It's fine to buy things here, but don't risk it please! It happened to me, it can happen to you! I'd give anything in the world to have that day back and just stay home.....my Ivy would still be alive and here with me! Also....no one wants to take responsibility for what happened to my bird in their care! They claim she must have done this to herself by flapping/thrashing around in the carrier! Vet Xrays show an injury that's so severe that this is very unlikely. Something happened.....behind a closed curtain. No one's admitting. See ya in small claims court! ​

Going beyond having just about anything you could possibly need for feeding and watching birds, the friendly and knowledgeable service provided by the ladies working there will have you returning over and over again. We have been customers for only the last couple of years but will not even think of buying our raw peanuts in the shell anywhere else. The store is clean as is all the bird food that they sell. They can even tell you the country of origin of all their products and regularly have sales in addition to a customer loyalty program. Sometimes you can also hear them co-hosting the bird shows on WAMC radio.

My dog loves the new food, too, so it's unlikely I'll switch back. I highly recommend this store. They're only open until 6pm most days, so make sure to get there earlier than later. Worth the trip.
