HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE !!!!!!!!!!!!! What an awful experience - these people tried to overcharge me by more than $100, and when I pointed it out to them, the OWNER stared screaming at me and mocking me because I have a hearing impediment!! They employee sweet, but unintelligent laborers, who clearly had some difficulty in counting to 12. I had been here before, but with my gardener, so he made the price list, and they didn't over charge me (although, I purchased a gallon of Ortho Ant Kill and it was $29.95-sells for $11.95 at K-Mart across the street). When I was in with my gardener before, the owner (a blonde woman) was rude then as well but at least she didn't scream at me. These people are over-priced and RUDE. There are HUNDREDS of other nurseries in the Hamptons, I would recommend ANY of them as better than this place. read more

Whatever happened to old fashioned polite service? A few days ago I was in to buy a few things. No one offered me help as I was going up and down the aisles. Oh yes, there were a few employees standing around chatting. After finding a couple of the things I wanted I went to check out. The clerk, who I think is an owner checked me out without a word then handed me my receipt behind her back as she talking to another clerk behind her. No thank you. No hello or goodby. Obviously they're making enough money they don't have to try for repeat customers. I will never return but will make the trip to Home Depot or Lowes where the employees are sociable. By the way the chain stores had the items I purchased at Agway for a much lower price. read more

Agway has been really helpful with my gardening needs in the past few years, and took back a hose that broke with no questions asked. I really appreciated it - good customer service. They have also given my kids free ladybugs for our garden. read more

The owner of this place was unbelievably rude to my me and my wife. She actually accused us of trying to steal three bags of compost and two hanging flowers. The other worker there had told us to bring it to our car and wait there for someone to come a and total up the charge. While we were waiting the owner came over and started yelling at us to leave and" go back." I tried to explain to her that the man who worked there had told us to bring the products to the car. The products were still on the cart and we were making no attempts to put them in the car or hide anything. It was quite a shocking and disturbing event. I have never been treated like that in my entire life. . I am a local doctor and have been living out east for over twenty years so people frequntly ask me for recommendations for everything out here. Needless to say we will not be returning to this place nor will we recommend it to anyone. read more

Being a old time local who used to go here as a kid it's a shame what has happened to this entire area.

I have been to Agway 3 times already this summer and the summer has hardly begun due to the wonderful experiences that I have had here. Knowledgeable and friendly staff, very helpful, and a great selection of plants, flowers and herbs. Reasonable prices too, especially for the Hamptons. Have shopped here in past years as well. My new go to plant and garden center. read more
