My newfiedoodle has now been groomed 3 times at Harbor Pet in Greenport, and my Golden Retriever had her first groom today. They come back amazing every time! I usually don't like a doodle cut, and she does an amazing job! This time we did a summer cut, so he needs to look more doodle like, but he's not shaved down, he's not red from being shaved. I used to go to a box store and he would always come home with a red belly from being shaved too close. I love supporting a small local business! And I really appreciate how everyone there treats my dogs! They always tell you how much they love their visits and the pups come home happy! read more

I love this place. We go here all the time and bring our pet. The owner is amazing and she is always giving treats to our dog. They have everything you are looking for. If they don't have it they will tell you where you can get it. Customer service is the main reason most people comeback! The amount of choices they have is outstanding. My dog is 2yo. Small 9 1/2 lbs. and a customer since the beginning. The groomers are def a cut above anything on the NF. Used to be worth the wait. But to leave a pup for 5 hrs, (why?) 30 min drive, 3 times in the same day, and still not ready. Why book appt for 1:30 when she won't be tended to until 5pm finally done at 6, makes no sense. The system, scheduling just not working. read more

Terrible place. I took my Oreo here to get a full groom, only to be called 10 minutes after I dropped him off, to come pick him up. The receptionist had told me that he nipped at the groomer, and that they were unable to groom him today. (he had been groomed twice before with no problem ) When I got there, Lori said to me, he's probably just having an off day, let's reschedule him. I proceeded to call a few days later to book him another appointment after taking him to my vet, who prescribed him medication to calm him down before grooming. I made another appointment made sure Oreo was calm and ready for his appointment. I got a call an hour before he was supposed to get groomed, telling me they don't really want to deal with him, And that I need to look into one of the trainers that they recommended. I proceeded to tell her that not everyone can afford $200 per session for dog training, and she basically told me too bad. Never in my life, would I ever take any of my animals back here. read more

The pet store has anything you may need for your pooch or things you don't need but fun as a gift including little rain coats, squeaky toys, tons of collars, bedding, etc. Also have a variety of dog food and treats. We love the store and the woman who usually works there is extremely friendly and helpful. The groomer, however, has let us down both times we've went there. It took her 5 and a half hours to get my mini poodle done the first time and 6 and a half to get both of our small dogs done the next time. Additionally we checked in after 3.5 hours and they had only been bathed and were sitting in crates without being let out to go to the bathroom. The results were ok but waiting that many hours was not worth it. read more

This was my first grooming experience at Harbor Pet. Brought my Poodle/Lagooto mix here for a summer cut. He's very afraid of haircuts and has fears being separated from me. Grooming is a traumatic experience. They were attentive and caring when I dropped him off, careful to be sure he was not stressed. I picked him up a couple hours later he was happy, unstressed and cheerful ! Usually he'll pull to run out of the groomer and will pull away anytime we are within a block's proximity. We stayed around the for a bit to chat with no problem.We've dropped by a few times afterwards and he's totally comfortable. So happy for this good experience. AND the haircut was great too!!!! read more

Brought my two Bernese Mountain dogs in today for grooming and they have never looked better!!!! Lori greeted them when they came in and made them feel comfortable. She showed me the back part of the store where she would be grooming...very clean and air conditioned!!!!!!They were happy, relaxed and gorgeous when I picked them up! As soon as I left the shop a small crowd gathered to pet them and gush about how great they looked. Price was extremely reasonable!!!! Highly recommend! read more

They sold me a sweater for my mini dachshund that was completely wrong for her as her paws kept coming out . I specifically asked them if they have stuff that would fit a mini dachshund and they said they had plenty of things and when I got there they had nothing . The owner had a 'couldn't care less attitude " and was completely unhelpful . Never going back to this place . Awful customer service !! There are so many better options online it's only a matter of time before they will be out of business read more

Laurie, the groomer, is excellent. We have brought our dogs (a 17lb. Maltese mix & a 55lb. Goldendoodle) to her several times as well as our son's mini-poodle. All 3 dogs leave looking great with gorgeous, appropriate cuts. Kudos! read more

Bad service and overpriced. They did a shoddy job giving our dog a "trim" and after we called to complain and ask for them to fix their mistake they charged us a second time. We won't waste our money here again. They need an attitude adjustment. read more

They did a very nice job grooming my pets. The owner is not very pleasant, but that is ok ........dogs looked great. While waiting for my dogs to get groomed I asked some questions about merchandise in the store and she seemed annoyed. Like I was bothering her with my little questions. So that is ok, I saved some money not buying anything......probably would have spent another 200.00 on stuff I did not need. So net, great grooming. Message to the owner - watch the movie Pretty Women......when Julia Roberts is rebuffed in the store .......she goes back to show them the thousands in business that they lost. Good message to think about.......but highly recommend for the grooming. read more

This is the best grooming our Yorkie has ever had! She's nearly 12 and, therefore, she's had many many groomings - so I speak from experience. She looks terrific, and seems to have had a pleasant two hour stay. The owners and groomer are lovely. The price was very reasonable too. read more
