We love the convenience of Agua Dulce Hardware. We recently moved to this neighborhood and always seem to need a part, a screw, a bolt, electrical or plumbing parts. Every time we go there they have exactly what we need. And there are 3 knowledgeable women that always know where to locate exactly what you need, it's a great experience. They are fun and always are helpful, it's so nice not to go to Home Depot! Highly recommend this quaint neighborhood hardware store! This is a wonderful little jam-packed, home town hardware store. And as the heart of the tiny business district it also holds some of the silly, local attractions. The largest rubber band ball in town, the "It kinda looks like this" sketches drawn by customers to describe items whose names they don't know and a cool collection of dog collars that the owner's piranha-like mutt has chewed through. This tiny storefront has EVERYTHING! Hahaha... but seriously, it's amazing how this little shop can fit so much product into the tiny footprint of the store. The products are well organized. Everytime I pop into the store someone helps me almost immediately. They're incredibly knowledgeable and know what I need just by explaining the part. Often I'll explain the part, and they'll take me to that section and show me about 5 different options. I've never experienced this kind of service at any hardware store... ever. If you don't think they have what you need, just describe the part and they may have it in the back. You'll likely pay slightly more than you would at a big box retailer, but who wants to drive all the way to town when you can just get it locally? read more

Great store with a bit of everything. I've been coming here for over a year now and they have been able to help resolve my issues every time. I had bought a water spigot for a rain barrel and it kept leaking. Brought it in to ask Trish if she had a fix for it. Not only did she resolve my leak, she reinstalled it on the spot!! Trish, the owner, is the sweetest lady. If you visit early enough, you'll likely find some kind of sweet pastry waiting for you... I love Agua Dulce Hardware, I have been coming here since I was in diapers and the staff has always treated me with respect, have been helpful and just lovely. For a small town hardware, they sure do have a little of everything. Weather it was a special color of paint or a weird wrench I was looking for, I could always count on finding it here. One thing that surprises me about this small store is that they are able to keep their prices so low, I would think it would be way more expensive than the big box stores but Agua Dulce Hardware is very reasonable. Wonderful small town hardware store with owners and workers who know their stuff. This jam-packed store takes me back to the days when I used to go to the hardware store with my dad or mom. A couple of years ago, I was complaining to a neighbor about the big box hardware stores, and he told me he always hits Agua Dulce Hardware first. Have you ever been to Lowe's and discovered that the bin that contains the part or fastener you need has been cleaned out by some contractor? Well, despite the fact that most of the local contractors and handymen shop here, Trish manages to keep everything in stock. That, combined with friendly and (gasp!) knowledgeable employees who are NEVER too busy to help, make this small business deserving of the all the support the community can give it. If it costs a little bit more, consider the cost in time and fuel to dive down to Home Depot to find that they're sold out of whatever it is you need! read more

When I go in to the hardware store everyone is so sweet .they are always helping me to find,figure out, or just fixing what I can't . I wanted to give an update on my review of over two years ago. I can't believe I go to this place. Horrible customer service. Nothing has changed. If you really need something make the drive to Bakersfield if you have to. Don't go to AD Hardware. Of course I love the place. We would be screwed if not for Trish. I just wish she would fire Peggy. I really dislike her. Not really. So don't be cheap and support the lovely ladies of AD Hardware. read more
