If I could give zero stars I would…read more The first technician was rude, dismissive, and spoke to me like I was incompetent -- constantly interrupting and ignoring what I was saying. He claimed he fixed my dryer. He didn't. After it broke again, they suddenly decided it needed replacing. Then came the complete lack of communication -- over a week went by with no update until I had to chase them down. Scheduling was a joke. They refused to work around normal 9-5 jobs, then promised a weekend delivery before noon. Shockingly, they didn't show up on time. I had to call them at 11:40am just to remind them, only to be told to reschedule. They then promised to call Monday. They didn't. I had to call again Tuesday. Three weeks later, still no working dryer and nothing but broken promises, rude service, and zero accountability. If you enjoy being talked down to, ignored, and chasing a company to do the bare minimum, this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay far away.

The tech told me they couldn't order the part from their supplier but if I could find it on my own they'd be happy to do the repair. I was given a part number which I misplaced, so had to call back to reconfirm. They didn't have the records so spoke to a different tech who had to pull the unit apart again so he called me back a day or so later with a part number. So part number confirmed and validated you'd think. WRONG! I called around and found it from a Toronto based supplier. Item was back ordered but was delivered to my home some 6 weeks later. I dropped it off at Northgate Appliances who said nothing for 2 months until I called to follow up. I was told I ordered the wrong part and should come in and pickup up my microwave asap. What?? But ya'll gave me the part number?? It became a circular argument, I attempted to escalated to the owner Mak, he wouldn't return my calls. I made the typical bad review threat any disgruntled customer would make, didn't get me anywhere. Went in today to collect my appliance and was slapped with a $400 invoice for storage fees! Wow, just wow! Finally Mak shows up and tells me to pay up or leave. Out a microwave, out of pocket $130 for parts, out a lot of time, fuel & here's the cherry on top, police called to throw out 'unruly' customer! My old Miele dishwasher broke down the other day,…read moreand after a nasty experience with another appliance repair business in Edmonton, we had the appliance repair division of Sherwood Appliance (now known as Mr Appliance in Sherwood Park) come out to look at the dishwasher. The repair technician, Zoltán, was extremely competent, experienced, and polite. Sadly, after his evaluation, we discovered the parts to repair the old dishwasher would almost total the same price as getting a new dishwasher! We originally considered buying another Miele at a Miele dealer like Trail Appliances, but after our old Miele broke down after only slightly more than four years of use, we began to consider giving another brand a try. Zoltán contacted his own company's sales manager, Rob, from Sherwood Appliance who then, assuming we wanted another Miele, referred us to the private number of his counterpart at Trail Appliances, assuring us that we would get the best possible service if we dealt with them after mentioning that Rob referred us. Rob also invited us to look at the wide inventory Sherwood Appliance had in stock if we ever wanted to buy something other than a Miele. This openness and attention to customer service impressed me so much I asked Rob what brands Sherwood Appliance had in stock, and it turns out that they have one of the best inventories in the greater Edmonton area of in-stock items! I was already tired of washing dishes by hand, and we wanted a new dishwasher as soon as possible. To make a long story short, we still wanted to stick with a European brand, so we ended up purchasing a new Blomberg dishwasher through Rob, and he pulled every string possible to get our delivery and installation done that same day. This is a company that really goes above and beyond for the customer, and I highly recommend them, both for appliance repair and the purchase of new appliances.

I called using the Yelp page, which I think is the easiest way to contact them. I believe their number is incorrect if you simply google them. However, it is correct here! The woman I spoke with on the phone was personable and ensured we had our appointment made. We had John come in to fix our Dishwasher and Oven. He did an awesome job and everything was fixed in no time. I'm very glad that everything was sorted out all in one night. I was super worried that it would be something unfixable. It came out to be about $600 for both appliances to be fixed. Very reasonable when you consider the cost of replacement! I would definitely recommend GoTech to anyone!

He fully explained what caused the leak and what the repair would cost. As the part needed to be ordered he rescheduled the return visit. We had to reschedule once due to a problem on our end and Dennis was very accommodating. Dennis went above and beyond in following up and in accommodating our schedule in order to complete the repair. We were extremely happy with his service and would have no problem recommending GoTech to others! The are definitely now our go-to company for appliance repair.
