I also noticed some cool vintage Anna Sui t-shirts, boots and Anthropologie pieces. As you might infer from the brand names I have mentioned, Menagerie is a more high-end consignment shop. For example, the manikin in the window wore a loose brown shirt dress -- basically a potato sack that only a runway model could pull off. And it had been marked down from $300. I'm happy with my cords, though; I'm sure they will become a fall and winter wardrobe staple.

I've known and done business with Airee at Agora Vintage for over ten years resulting in numerous designer bags and jewelry. All items are guaranteed authentic and all have matched up with outside authenticators utilized to confirm authenticity. Due to market conditions, prices of luxury designer bags have increased but Airee is open to negotiations on most items. As a consigner and buyer, I see both sides of the coin. Consigners want the most or at least fair market value for their items, buyers want the lowest priced deal, and Agora Vintage has to make money to keep the doors open. AIree is the middleman and tries to balance the deal by satisfying both sides, which is not always an easy task to accomplish. Over the past ten years, I have been quite satisfied with all my purchases and able to snag some unique pieces. I highly recommend Agora Vintage if you are in the market for vintage or unique items. I have been a customer of Agora for a few years now. I have been very satisfied with my purchases as well as the price given to me for items that I consigned with them. The best thing I like is the layaway. Their layaway is what affords me the opportunity to make most of my luxury item purchases. Once there was a problem with the shipment of my package. How are customers supposed to determine if they want them or not if we can't test them out? Then we walked into the room at the check out. There was a box full of little toys that looked like they came from happy meals. My girls found two little one inch figurines they liked. The lady kept following us from room to room. She said "those are only for paying customers." How was she to know we weren't going to buy anything? My oldest daughter asked me nicely if she could have it, but the lady interrupted the conversation and said "she can have it for a dollar." I'm sorry, what? You're going to charge me for a toy that if I buy something they would get for free? Her whole attitude towards us was completely disrespectful. Before we could even finish looking around I decided to leave the establishment because I don't think they deserve our business or any business from parents with kids. Instead we spent our money at another shop near by and my daughters were offered something for free there before we even opened the door. Go support Street Love Ministries before coming here.

However, I am done with them at this point, following a chain of more recent terrible customer service experiences, primarily at this location. But it goes further than that. I have reached out to management, and they're just as indifferent as the employees in the store, as no one even gets back in touch, much less tries to make things right. I suppose they have all the customers they want and need and have no problem losing them unnecessarily. Fine. Just be warned -- they can be a nightmare to deal with and couldn't care less. And since they don't tell you at any point in person or on their website, I'll warn you here -- gift cards can only be used for online purchases.
