I went to the university of Georgia for undergrad and frequented this store often for unique finds. I still have pieces I bought over 5 years ago that I still wear and get compliments on. While the stuff in this store is slightly pricey it is very good quality and will last you for a long time. I was in need of sunglasses this trip around and they have funky unique sunglasses. Had a great time shopping here while visiting Athens. Normal vintage prices (even on the cheaper side imo). Great selection! I found a few fun work tops and dresses and an oversized soft blazer that will be great for fall. Also a few hair clips. All for around $100. I actually love that the employees leave me alone! I felt free to browse as long as I wanted. I made multiple trips to the dressing room and could just walk right in. What a lovely shop! It was pretty big, and both my fiancé and I found a lot of wonderful things! They also had more than just women's extra smalls, which was nice (as that is not always a guarantee!) If I could zero stars I would. The service in here was absolutely terrible. Right when you walk in you were not welcomed given dirty looks. Everything overpriced. Overall service has got to be one of the worst shopping experiences I have ever had. I would not recommend anyone go. read more

This place is cute and has a ton of great stuff. I was in a group of guys and girls visiting from another state on a road trip and we all wanted to buy stuff we found in there. The sales person let us look around and answered our questions. LOTS of owl stuff in this place if you are into that kind of thing. I dug the vintage slips and the old rusty pete's dragon lunchbox. My friends found some rad vintage shorts (guys and girls) and one of my friends found this sweet structured denim jacket. The prices were reasonable. I liked the place! read more

I didn't find anything for myself. The selection was very 80s, with a lot of lacy crop tops and minimal consignment items. However, my boyfriend found a very cool vintage shirt for only $18. Although I couldn't find anything, others might be able to find something. In my opinion though, consignment selection was too limited. read more

I stumbled upon Dynamite while in downtown Athens about 2 years ago and have been a die-hard fan ever since. This store is incredible. They have a great selection of just about everything you could want for men and women. Apparently everything in the store gets washed or dry cleaned, making it a pleasure to shop at. They even stock AMERICAN APPAREL which is super cool. This place is like a boutique re-sale shop- selling new, used and vintage clothing and accessories. I bought an killer pair of vintage cowboy boots there the other day and my boyfriend bought about 5 vintage T's. ( they have tons of great t-shirts) Their inventory seems to change daily because I always find new things! The prices are definitely reasonable considering some of the vintage items are impossible to find anywhere else.....like vintage IZOD LACOSTE, leather motorcycle jackets etc... I don't think the other reviewer was fair in saying the clothes are overpriced, I didn't think so. Everything I've seen in there is in great condition, no holes or tears, and it's clean- Some things are priced high, but I think it's because they are rare and hard to find. I remembered this place from way back when I used to live in Athens and was excited to visit it again. Unfortunately, I was let down. A lot of their items seemed very 80s and 90s and some weren't even thrift or vintage. The lady who was running the shop seemed totally uninterested in us and we were the only ones there. Dynamite is tha jam. Anytime I need some gold chains or a gold dress for my woman, I go to Dynamite. They got all kinds of dope shit. They even got a Galaga machine so you can play video games while your woman is shopping. Word. Plus, the chicks who work there is hot. read more
